    Amazing photographer

Jonathon was such a great photographer. He captured so many moments from our day and even helped during the ceremony when we needed a Bluetooth speaker at the last minute. He sent us the images within two weeks and they were so great, he did such a great job.

    Wedding Photography

Jonathan was nothing short of professionalism, care, and captured the essence of our entire wedding day from the daytime ceremony, to the food, dancing, and laughter into the evening with his awesome photography. The pictures turned out great, so natural and photogenic, captured people at their best. What I loved most is the Jonathan was behind the scenes capturing candid moments and made people feel comfortable while still grabbing the important pics with family and friends. He stayed extra into the evening to capture night shots which was awesome! Prices are super reasonable and we would recommend Jonathan and use him again in the future. Thanks Jonathan!

Still begging him to send the final product.

Only marking one star because Zero is not possible. Horrible experience, apparently he forgot to ask me what time the wedding was and our problems started there. Somehow he managed to arrive right at the beginning... I should have known when my DJ told me he wanted to use his sound system and that he should have his own that ai should expect problems... It's been 8 months since our wedding and he hasn't sent our whole product. After many attempts over the months, he sent a ceremony video that doesn't look that great, a horrible recording of part of our party, people's faces can barely be seen, partial bodies, no editing. Also sent a steady recording of a bull riding we had in the garage, no editing. No video of our entrance as husband and wife, no first dance and family dances, keeps promising to send them month after month responding to my numerous messages every once in a while. Many excuses have been used, health, family and work issues and we still don't have what we paid for in advance and full. We've given this person so many chances and have been so patient but enough is enough. I have been advised to sue him in small claims court, report him to BBB and post as many reviews as possible warning other couples. Extremely upsetting.

    Gooch Media Group's reply:

    Hi Mrs. Irini.

First and foremost I apologize for how things have transpired. My desire to get the best results from the footage captured pushed me to a place where I didn’t get the remaining footage to you in the time agreed upon. I apologize again for this. Since everything has escalated to the degree it has we can speak about compensation due to not getting the remaining footage on time. Once we can confirm certain details via email we can begin that process.

As far as some of the details listed in your response some are exaggerated, incorrect, or attempts at defamation due to things not turning out the way you thought it should have.

I didn’t receive a copy of the wedding timeline before the wedding day.

I contacted you the day before the wedding because I was concerned because I live two hours from the wedding location. You stated you would send something and never did. I have text messages to confirm the following. After many messages were sent the morning of the wedding you did confirm some details. Yet I still arrived before the ceremony began.

Later, on the day of the wedding, you told me that you assumed DJ told me everything. Because you had been in contact with him and your mind you mixed us up.

Before this message was posted, you also had not expressed any concerns about any edits submitted, just for me to upload the remaining footage.

The wedding ceremony itself is cut between 4 cameras and any handheld was stabilized to a certain degree.

Regardless of what you believe edits were applied to the footage with stabilization, color grades, and audio processing as needed.

Concerning the audio. I paid close to $200 in Audio Rental for your wedding and brought my analog mixer in case the DJ needed it. I even bought a harness for you to have a microphone if desired. Since I did not have the proper start time, I did not have enough time to set up all the equipment. I asked one of the attendees who was relaying messages to you if the start time could be delayed a few minutes so I could mic at least the officiant and check in with the DJ for back audio tap I was told no.

My rental included microphones for you, your husband, and the officiant. Plus a 6-channel XLR recorder and DI boxes. (All the following doesn’t include the additional cables and mixer I brought)

As far as the DJ I reached out to him a few days before the wedding. During that time, he never shared any information about the wedding timeline. I later found out from him that he was coordinating with the bride for the wedding timeline because they changed some stuff last minute. None of that information was forwarded to me.

Also, for those that understand the audio the day of a wedding is a collaboration between whomever is over Audio and the videographer. I’ve done live sound in professional settings for over 20 years and know what equipment to bring when people don’t have the proper equipment I brought that equipment but again time was not on my side.

Some more realities concerning the wedding day

Normally the wedding timeline is something discussed weeks ahead of the actual wedding day. That way I can arrive on time prepared and ready to go.

The timeline is also confirmed so that realistic expectations of the day can be met by both parties to ensure there are enough hours of coverage being agreed-upon, for what is expected. An example of a wedding timeline was included in your proposal. My shoot time begins at the beginning of whatever we agree upon. Usually, I capture footage before the ceremony starts as it's easier to move around when fewer people are present. I also have time to troubleshoot possible audio issues with the staff present.

With the wedding location more than two hours from my house, the start time is very is very important.

While I arrived before the wedding started I only had enough time to set up two cameras before you, the bride, walked down the aisle. The other two cameras, I set up during the actual wedding ceremony.

The footage that I captured of people dancing and partying is me in the middle of the dance floor and is at least an hour's worth of footage. During that time it rained at one point. Then it got colder and the rain turned into hail and it was windy at certain times. regardless of all the following, I continued to shoot risking damaging the cameras I brought.

All in all, a good degree of the issues that I dealt with in post with editing would have been averted, had I received the wedding timeline at least before the wedding day. I am wrong for not upholding my edit timeline but stop with the misinformation.   Thank you again for your patience in the passing of my father, knee surgery, and other personal and technical complications.

I’ll be in contact via email. Have a great day.
