  Melissa from Gourmet by the Bay was wonderful to work with for my daughter’s wedding! Her guidance and insight were invaluable and the food was delicious! She took care of all the details involving rentals and gave us great advice when we asked for her opinion. We highly recommend Gourmet by the Bay!!

  We love GBTB!

  We used Gourmet By the Bay for our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch, and we could not recommend them more highly! Sidney and her team were absolutely phenomenal. They were incredibly professional and so easy to work with. Even though we didn't have a wedding planner and we were planning our wedding from a distance, Sidney and her team made sure the whole process went smoothly and that we didn't overlook any details. They also gave us great advice when we asked for it, but were never pushy about adding anything we didn't want or need. They were also so cool under pressure - we had to add an extra guest less than 24 hours before the wedding and they easily allayed our worries and quickly added an extra meal and seat. The fact that they catered basically 3 separate events for us and that no detail was overlooked is a testament to how good they are. On top of that, all the food was amazing and we heard from so many guests that it was some of the best they'd had, and that everything tasted super fresh and delicious. Our wedding was perfectly seamless and we can't thank GBTB enough. Hire Sidney and her team - they're the best!

  We love Melissa!

  One of the best decisions of our wedding was to hire Gourmet By the Bay. Melissa was an absolutely pleasure to work with. She is super organized, incredibly thoughtful and nice, and helped guide us throughout the whole process. Melissa went above and beyond to make our wedding day incredible. The food was spectacular. Our guests all commented on everything from the cocktail hour, to the dinner, to the dessert. Absolutely fantastic. So grateful for Melissa and the whole teams’ work to make our wedding weekend so wonderful.

  Gourmet by the Bay recently catered our 250 person wedding at my parents' house, which was a tented ceremony and reception overlooking the Choptank River on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Sidney and the rest of the Gourmet by the Bay crew were instrumental in helping make our wedding weekend such a success! While recapping the wedding together over the past several weeks, my husband I have repeatedly commented to one another about how securing them as our caterer was one of the best things that happened to us with the wedding planning. The food was incredible (numerous guests told us that it was the BEST wedding food they'd ever had!) and they worked with us to create a unique menu that perfectly complimented the theme of our Eastern Shore wedding. Moreover, their professionalism and knowledge of all things wedding...from helping coordinate the tent arrangements, the place settings, ceremony chairs, and everything in between....helped make the entire day go smoothly. Sidney's attention to detail and the effort she puts into her clients' events are above and beyond! We would HIGHLY recommend Sidney and the rest of the Gourmet by the Bay staff for your wedding day or any other wedding-related event!

  Sidney was a dream to work with from day 1 - we were planning a backyard wedding with no wedding planner and Sidney was incredibly flexible and accommodating, offering advice about not only F&B, but also the general event set-up, rental needs, flow, etc. No question was too small and no option too inconvenient to look into. The only place where we strayed from Sidney's advice was with stocking the bar, which was a good thing since our guests drank more than twice what Gourmet by the Bay estimated, but brides and grooms typically know their crowd and how many big drinkers there will be. Sidney and team also helped provide food for a BBQ the following day - they made the planning process as painless as possible! We highly recommend choosing Sidney and Gourmet by the Bay for your wedding or other event - you won't regret it!

  Highly Recommend!! We used Gourmet by the Bay for our entire wedding weekend...rehearsal dinner, wedding reception and post wedding brunch.   GBTB is the exceptional in all they do! I have been to enough weddings where I couldn't tell you what I even ate... let alone wished I'd eaten more. All of our guests (and my husband and I) were going back for seconds and thirds. We chose stations, and every single station was amazing! It sounds like the tossed salad station was the favorite among our guests, but I wish I could have the grilled lamb every day of the week! The salmon was cooked to perfection (which is so difficult to do at home, let alone in a cook tent in the middle of a garden!).
  
  And then there was Melissa and her attention to detail, her coordination with Eastern Shore Tents and Events, and her fantastic staff! Everything was perfect, and if we lived in Maryland, we would use them again and again! Thank you GBTB!

  Sidney and the Gourmet by the Bay Team were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Sidney is so much more than just a caterer, she helped with our entire event design and coordination. She also connected us with some incredible vendors (see other reviews, including Cristina Calvert Signature) She came highly recommended from a number of acquaintances and lived up to and well beyond our expectations. Our wedding day was absolutely seamless from start to finish and every detail was attended to by the GBTB team. GBTB also helped with all rentals, including the gorgeous sail cloth tent, beer boat bar, table and chair rentals, linens, etc. Sidney was also able to provide the wedding of our dreams within our anticipated budget and she did a great job helping us focus on the important things. Also, have I mentioned to food?!?! It was DELICIOUS. The shrimp and grits and mushroom risotto were out of this world and we just LOVED the zucchini fritters, lamb burgers and flatbreads, tuna tartare and more!! I can't thank Sidney and the GBTB team enough for delivery an incredible dream wedding we will never, ever forget.

  Gourmet by the Bay was the caterer that we used for our son's rehearsal dinner held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Melissa was our contact person with menu and details. She worked within our budget and provided a menu that used local ingredients ..and was delicious! Many of our guests commented on the service and excellent flavor of all the foods offered. We had the cocktail hour on the deck with passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by a buffet dinner inside. Everything was outstanding. Wanda...was our "point person" who kept things flowing and made it nice for us to enjoy the lovely night with our guests.

  I wish I could give them 6/5! I have need had a better catering experience in my life! First class, so professional, totally affordable, and delicious! You don't find this kind of service often! Sidney and her husband are bar none the best!

  We felt like we fell into an old friend. The chef had worked at my late husband's favorite restaurant on Nantucket. We knew going into the contract that it would be good. What we didn't expect was that it would be over the top fantastic! This was one of the two truly delightful surprises from the vendors we used. The food was spectacular, the service attentive, the timing to perfection! (The comp meals for other vendors were also very good I am told. ) The food arrived HOT and perfectly cooked. The vegetarian option was a mushroom/asparagus risotto that was so good I passed up a filet. The wine pairings were also excellent suggestions. Also Sidney did all the rentals, to perfection I might add. All in all, Sidney Trond (proprietor) outdid herself and she and her husband (the Chef extraordinaire) deserve a five star rating. I would recommend them to ANYONE who wants to have their wedding talked about long after it's over! My family members still email me and send me messages on Facebook talking about it (our wedding was almost 4 months ago!) And anytime one of our wedding guests goes to another wedding, I always here about it after ("your food was better!")

  Gourmet by the Bay was amazing!!! I can't express how grateful we are to have had gourmet by the bay cater our wedding! Guests are still raving about the food. We had crab cakes that were made in front of you, a delicious watermelon salad, sushi, sir loin, rock fish, mini ham and cheddar biscuits and other scrumptious foods for our guests. Sidney and Jim are professional and work with you to create your dream menu. They staff is dressed professional and made sure to have appetizers and plates set aside for us! The food is fresh and presented beautifully! I can't say enough about them! I was very stressed about other things at my wedding but I had no worries with our caterer! My only regret is that I didn't hire them to do my entire wedding! I highly recommend gourmet by the bay!

  Thanks to Tara and Sidney from Gourmet by the Bay, we were able to plan our wedding in the States from Sydney, Australia. They went out of their way to help with organizing the catering but also meeting with the venue on our behalf, and recommending a fantastic band. Not to mention that the food was the most amazing food anyone of my guests had ever had at a wedding. The cheese platter, the fresh oysters, all of it was scrumptious! Thanks so much for making our wedding so absolutely perfect!

  Food was wonderful and the staff was very friendly at our wedding. Unfortunately as soon as we told our contact with the company we wouldn't be using her as our wedding coordinator, it seemed as if we treated much differently. Although the company is in St Michaels, she couldn't recommend barely any other vendors in the area. (spa, salons) Basically I was told she only knew Annapolis. I feel that if I would have hired her as the coordinator the service would have been a bit better. That being said, the food was amazing. In the end, we were very pleased and the company itself is flexible and professional. Our contact person the day of the wedding was wonderful as well. They are worth the money you will spend.
