Grand Street Cafe was absolutely perfect for our wedding reception. Molly, the event coordinator, was great to work with all year answer my (many) questions and so helpful the night of. We could not have pulled it off without her!

We opted for a buffet and the food was great. We had compliments from friends after about it! We loved that we could go do the tasting ahead of time, but then even go try a few more appetizers later since some are served on the regular restaurant menu. They also really helped us accommodate a few food allergies for guests. Having the food & beverage services in house and done by a team of professionals also really helped make it stress-free/so much less to coordinate ahead of time. They know what they are doing!

The space itself is beautiful and fit our 225 guests comfortably, though I don't think I would go over that number. The white draped ceilings, string lights and center chandelier all show so beautifully in photos and it was awesome to have their tea lights/other options to mix in with our decor. We didn't need to add very much else other than flowers and signage! We did decide to order additional floor length linens different from what the agreement comes with, and Molly helped facilitate all of the ordering of those as well.

Vendors were able to get in that morning/afternoon to set up (flowers, cake, DJ, photo booth, etc. -- though we didn't need as many outside vendors since they already provide a lot!) and we were able to drop off items the week of/pick some up the next morning. The flexibility on this was a huge help.

And finally, parking is awesome! For our older family members, they made many comments about how easily accessible the parking was -- and that is a huge plus that not many venues closer in to the city/downtown have!

You can't go wrong with the The Grand St. Café no matter what you have in mind for your special day. We ended up utilizing both sides of the venue for our ceremony and reception as well as having our rehearsal dinner there the night before. First off, the entire team was amazing and made things easy and run smoothly. Molly listened to what we wanted, took measurements and pictures for us and worked with us to modify our food and drink packages to be exactly what we wanted. She was also so helpful on the day of the wedding getting everything in place and keeping us on track. Crystal and the entire wait/bar staff at the rehearsal dinner and reception deserve a huge round of applause as well as the service was second to none. Second, the venue was great, from the globe lights, to the table settings, to the large space that allowed everyone to spread out and have a good time. Lastly, the food was phenomenal (as it always is) and the drinks were plenty. We got so many compliments on how good the buffet was and how much fun everyone had, which happens with the top shelf bar package. All in all we wouldn't have changed a thing as it was the perfect place for our wedding. Thank you again everyone on The Grand St. Café team.

Grand Street was a perfect place for our daughters wedding reception. They were extremely accommodating in meeting all of our needs. The venue was very classy and the food was delicious.

Grand Street Cafe was so amazing and incredible for our wedding reception! Working with Logan (Event Coordinator for Grand Street) was a dream! I started the wedding planning journey about two years ago and Logan has been there every step of the way! She was very timely and open to ideas. She answered emails and texts non-stop! I always felt that she was working in your corner and always had my back. When my wedding day arrived, everything went so well! The space, appetizers, meals, and alcohol were so amazing and literally the best wedding meal a lot of my guests have ever had! The flow of the space works with all guests and is so easy with the private parking garage underneath the restaurant. Seriously, I'm so happy I went with Grand Street! I will for sure have another party there soon and I am recommending the venue to everyone I know!

We held my daughter’s wedding and reception for 210 people at Grand Street Café. Here are five reasons why you should consider this venue for your wedding or other special event: 1) Gorgeous space – The best way I can describe it is urban chic. It contains modern, loft-like elements with the warmth of beautiful dark hardwood floors and huge windows that overlook the Plaza. And it was large enough to accommodate both the ceremony and reception. 2) Everything included – When you rent the space at Grand Street, it includes tables, chairs (really nice chairs, not folding rental chairs), linens, candles and table numbers for the centerpieces (we just added a vase of flowers), a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony, a sound system and ample underground parking. We didn’t have to worry about finding or paying for those items separately. That was especially nice since we were planning the wedding from out-of-town. 3) Amazing food – After the tasting, we were so excited about the food we had selected, and Grand Street did not disappoint. Here’s a direct quote from a guest: “The food was spectacular…the best food I have had at a wedding ever.” 4) Event staff – If you read the online reviews for Grand Street, you’ll see people talking about the venue’s event team, Logan and Elliot. They are amazing and will make your life so much easier. We had the pleasure of working with them both throughout the planning process, and Elliot served as our “day of” coordinator, making sure everything ran smoothly. 5) Value – For all these benefits, you would think the venue is expensive. It’s not. It’s one of the best values in Kansas City, and I researched wedding venues and vendors extensively before we made our choice. Having the wedding at Grand Street allowed us to entertain our family and friends with appetizers, a delicious dinner and a full open bar for a very reasonable cost. It was a beautiful and memorable night, thanks to the team at Grand Street.

Everything about the Grand Street for our wedding was perfect! Elliott and her team were professional and responsive and made sure everything was perfect! We had a blast, our guests did too and the food was amazing!

I loved working with Grand Street on the Plaza. It was absolutely perfect. Logan was a dream to work with. She was fully a part of the wedding planning process from the beginning. She responded quickly, suggested new ideas, and accommodated us in many aspects. Grand Street’s staff was amazing, my family and myself did not have to worry about set up or clean up day off which was a huge relief. The staff was kind the food service was especially wonderful. The food was amazing and I got SO many compliments on the food. Having a plated meal was one of the things I really wanted and Grand Street provided exactly what I wanted. Would highly recommend this venue!

Hello! We just hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Grand Street on the plaza and it was beyond what we had hoped it would be. When we first saw Grand Streets event space, we loved the black/white decor which made it so easy to pick flowers and other decorations. Logan was our coordinator, and she made the entire wedding planning a breeze! And not just Logan was great, but every person of their staff that we worked with was wonderful.

We opted not to have a wedding coordinator, and not once did I question if anything would be just as we thought it would have thanks to Logan and her team. She worked with us down to every detail and it was exactly how we had pictured it when we showed up the day of.

Besides the amazing coordinating and staff, the food is to die for. We did apps and a plated meal and desert from there, and everything was delicious and gone! Our friends have asked for specifics on the meals to try and find recipes for themselves!

Looking back at our pictures, the space not only accommodated our wedding and reception, but also photographed perfectly and made for the best background for our forever pictures.

The Grand Street venue was perfect for our Wedding Reception for 250 folks. The food was excellent and the bar service was excellent too. The view of the Plaza at Dusk was outstanding. Logan (our representative) did a great job of coordinating all the details needed for a reception and helped make it a a very memorable experience for all. We would highly rate Grand Street for any important event.

Amazing value for a plaza wedding. The event space is dramatic and elegant enough on it’s own and needs very little decorating. The food is top quality and we had a plated meal with 3 different entrée choices that was served without fail. The servers were delightful and the guests raved about the food and service. I would recommend Grand Street without reservation for any event; wedding or otherwise. Great food, location, service and space-we couldn’t have asked for more!

Where do we even start? Logan at Grand Street Cafe is by far the best thing to ever happen to us during our wedding planning experience. She is super professional, full of great ideas, and very easy to work with. She never once said no; there was always a solution to whatever we wanted. Logan helped us keep our sanity. She is a wedding planner, event planner, catering coordinator, and vendor organizer all rolled into one. You can email her, call her, text her, or see her in person. Whatever works best for you works best for her. While she is willing to do whatever you want, she also isn't afraid to tell you what won't work; she seemed just as invested in our wedding as we were. Additionally, GSC is reasonably priced, but looks expensive! The event space is so beautiful you don't necessarily have to decorate, but it also looks great with any kind of decor you do have in mind. The food is fantastic, and the staff was friendly and efficient. We did our ceremony and reception at GSC, and both were executed flawlessly from beginning to end. We were able to get the wedding we wanted within our budget, with fantastic service.

Logan Mitchell was awesome to work with! She provided options with menu, bar service, a plated meal vs. buffet (we opted for buffet). We had a taste sampling months before to see what would work for us. The room was beautiful and the atmosphere was great. We had 270+ in attendance and there was plenty of room.

Grand Street brought ease and luxury to planning our wedding. From beginning to the end, we enjoyed our experience there!

We were so impressed with this venue and their staff from the very beginning!! The views of the plaza are great, but we were sold on being able to mark so much off our checklist with one vendor! There's so much to plan and coordinate but with Grand Street, they took care of EVERYTHING!!! Logan was amazing to work with! She knows what she's doing and took the worry and stress out of coordinating our night! She was extremely responsive through the whole process and worked with all of our vendors to keep things moving. The food deserves another 5 stars! You CANNOT go wrong with anything on their menu! They even kept some of the cocktail appetizers for us at the end of the night. This team is flawless- the space is modern and simple- perfect Kansas City venue!

Our event coordinator Logan Mitchell was so responsive, flexible, and encouraging. The food was great, though on the expensive side. Bar service was great. The space is amazing and unexpected to guests.

My reception was at the Grand Street and it was simply PERFECT!! The space is amazing and the staff is above and beyond. All my guests at the wedding were raving about the food, the service and the atmosphere at the Grand Street. My husband and I and my family were treated like we were the most important guests the GSC ever had. I HIGHLY recommend them for ANY occasion. The staff did EVERYTHING I asked to make my wedding a fantastic event. Logan is truly the BEST!! She made my day STRESS free and I could not have been more pleased with everything. Bri is the best head server and quite the professional. The food at Grand Street is to die for! My guests are still talking about the wedding. This is the biggest compliment I can give Grand Street. I will tell everyone I know to use this venue! The staff is fantastic and worked so well with all my vendors. Thank you GSC for making our wedding unforgettable!! Logan you need a raise girl!!! Absolutely hire Grand Street for your event and ask for Logan!! You will NOT be dissapointed.

Our rehearsal dinner location was fabulous and the food fantastic. Working with Grand St was a pleasure and I know my mother-in-law trusted them with her vision for the night. We had great service, excellent value, and the view of the Plaza and the Plaza lights was stunning. You cannot go wrong with them!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Grand Street Cafe. They literally were the best experience possible. The space is beautiful on its own, but they provide plenty of decor for you to add. That saved us so much money, we brought in very little of our own decor. Out of all the venues I toured Grand Street Cafe was the easiest to work with. Everyone provides similar drink packages and meal packages, but nobody allows you to make affordable changes to packages the way Grand Street Cafe does. I loved their staff! Make sure you take the staffs personality into account, after all you will spend a chunk of your wedding day with them. I was happy to spend my wedding day with the event staff at Grand Street!

If I had to plan my wedding all over again, I would pick Grand Street again.

The new event space at the Grand Street Cafe is excellent! We've always loved the food and have eaten at their restaurant many times, but we were very happy with them as an event location as well. The food was just as good as dining in, there was plenty of room for the guests, it was decorated nicely, and all of the bartenders and workers there were friendly. The only thing that could have been better were the few times when the event coordinator couldn't remember details about our wedding and what we had asked for. But when the big night came, everything was set up perfectly and the night went smoothly.

The first comment from everybody was how magnificent the food was. As good as it is in the restaurant. The servers and bartenders were excellent.
