When we started researching DJs in Tampa for our wedding, it became clear pretty quickly that Grant Hemond was the way to go. They’ve been in business for decades and have thousands of 5 star reviews — and with good reason! Music was incredibly important to me, so I was convinced I was going to be that annoying bride, but they were absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding.
After reading through pages and pages of reviews, I noticed the same names of DJs keep popping up, so even though they say your DJ isn’t assigned until the week before your event, I asked if I could request a particular person. They said we absolutely could request specific DJs, so I gave four names. Two were already spoken for (a year out!), but she wrote into our contract that we were guaranteed to have one of the other two assigned to our wedding. We booked them to play music for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and to provide uplighting for the reception as well.
Over the next year, my husband and I compiled playlists of music we wanted to have played during cocktail hour or dinner (in other words, songs that we really liked but that you couldn’t really dance to), songs we wanted for the reception, as well as a “do not play” list.
A little over a week before our wedding, Craig Hemond reached out to us, introducing himself as our DJ. He sent over a questionnaire and set up a time for us to talk on the phone. I sent back the questionnaire along with our spreadsheets (yes, plural) of playlists, and we proceeded to have a two-hour (!) chat on the phone about how the music would go for the ceremony, cocktail hour, wedding party intros and reception. He was incredibly thorough and just the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet.
Craig totally understood what I wanted for my reception — I told him I needed this to be a throwback to the late 90s/early 2000s. He knew how to get people on that dance floor, and everyone had such a fun time! And he made our reception look amazing as well with the uplighting, which we asked to be a dark teal color. He also had the ability to change the colors throughout the night, and to have them change along with the beat of the music.
Start to finish, Craig did an absolutely wonderful job — I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! -

He worked with us the week before the wedding and provided just what we wanted. Our guests were pleased that he was so kind to play requests.....very kind and pleasant to everyone. Thanks Craig! -

Aaron was AMAZING. He was professional, respectful, detailed, and fun. We were truly blown away by how sweet he was - he felt like family. He was great at reading the crowd and modifying the music to fit the vibe and tailor to the bride's schedule. Aaron did great with the grand entrances, and we had an epic dance party! 100% recommend him. -

This company had the best professionalism and always responded very quickly. After I mentioned what I was looking for in a DJ, they matched me with Adam. He was the BEST! It was crucial to me that my DJ was going to be able to provide a great atmosphere for my parent's family + friends as well as all of my friends from the younger generation. He nailed it! I have had countless people mention to me after the wedding how great of a ob he did catering to everyone. I had zero stress because from the moment I talked to Adam on the phone, I knew he was going to be great. Nothing but great things to say! Ask for Adam Hensleigh! -

Our DJ Adam Hensleigh was absolutely the best! He was professional, prepared, friendly, accommodating, and fun! He played the vast array of songs we asked for, which were from many different genres and time periods. He made our dinner time elegant and romantic, and made our dancing time as good as any club. Our guests are still raving about it being the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding and that all of it was just perfect. -

We hired Adam to DJ our wedding at the James Museum at the recommendation of some newly married friends. He did an excellent job keeping the party alive and well throughout the night! He was professional, listened to all of our requests, and kept the dance floor moving the whole night. 10/10 recommend!!! -

Jason and the entire Grant Hemond Team were all absolutely amazing! Communication was spot on. We saw Jason DJ a friend’s wedding and had to jump on board the Grant Hemond train when we got engaged! The vibes were excellent. Multiple guests came up to us throughout the night to tell us how amazing he was and how well he set the vibe and read the room. He was an absolute joy! Highly recommend! -

GHA is top notch. Our wedding was a few days ago and people are still calling me to say what an incredible job our DJ, Jeff, did. Every single guest was on the dance floor... ages 6 months to 85 years. He understood exactly what kind of music we wanted and every single song was a hit. I would recommend them to anyone! -

Our DJ, Caleb, was absolutely incredible. I truly could not have asked for a kinder, more attentive, or intentional vendor to work with for our wedding day! He was very thorough and walked through every step of the process with us. I was planning a wedding in Florida from where my husband and I live in Nashville, and I was so overwhelemd by all that had to be done remotely. Caleb and the staff made everything seamless, it took another thing off of my plate that I did not have to worry about. Even better, he's just a super amazing guy! I searched far and wide for music vendors (this was probably the most important part of our reception for us) and the quality of Grant Hemond could not have been beat, I mean that so sincerely. Could not recommend them enough! -

Everyone at Grant Hemond was phenomenal! From the very first email with Jamie to the day of with Jason, the professionalism was always spot on. The day of the wedding Jason kept asking if we needed anything which was not his job, so that extra care was very appreciated. We also sprung some last minute announcements and changes on him and he handled it seamlessly. My husband and I have very different music tastes but he blended it all perfectly and really read the room throughout the night. I may be biased, but the music and dancing was the best I've ever experienced at a wedding! People of all ages were on the dance floor all night long. I was so happy with Grant Hemond and would recommend them and Jason to absolutely everyone! -

Branham Wedding!
Jason Tally was beyond amazing! He made our day extra special and helped us navigate through that. I have had many many compliments on how we made our music and song choices, dances so personal which made the whole day. Adam was our DJ for our wedding this past May and I can't recommend him enough! We spoke with him about a week before the wedding to discuss our song lists and general time lime of the day which he executed flawlessly. Amazing Fun Time
It was so easy to use Grant Hemond, Michelle helped me along the way ensuring everything I needed was in place. They did a great job communicating with my coordinator as well.
DJ James King was fantastic. As soon as we were assigned, James King, he reached out to us to plan our day. He was very detail oriented as well. Most of all, on the day of our wedding he kept the party going nonstop! I highly recommend up lights with Grant Hemond, the colors brought dimension to the room and was great for dancing. -

Everyone at our wedding kept telling us at the reception and the rest of the weekend how DJ Tom DeLisa was the best DJ they’d ever seen at a wedding! He had the dance floor packed all night, read the room so well, but he also had the perfect mashups and mix transitions that kept the energy high the whole time! Best moment was the Bohemian Rhapsody straight into All The Small Things - everyone went WILD. He kept the music flowing for seamless transitions, no awkward pauses, and respected our ask for no breaks once the dance floor opened. My friend told me mid-dance I needed to hire Tom for my baby shower 😆. Thank you Tom, you were fantastic and we loved every minute of our night. -

Craig was absolutely fantastic and I could not recommend him enough. He paid attention to every little detail and spent over an hour with us before the wedding day to ensure everything went seamlessly. Craig was so fun and had the whole wedding up and dancing until closing! Best DJ and made the night so much fun!
We are so happy that we found DJ Jason Tally with Grant Hemmond. He had everyone on the dance floor and he was so professional and polite! He made the evening better than we could have ever hoped for! A DJ can make or break an event and we are beyond thrilled we found such an amazing one. My daughter and son-in-law were so happy and had the best time at the reception. Thanks again Jason for making my daughter’s reception so fun. You are the best! -
