Greystone was the perfect location for our wedding reception. The food and service was fantastic and we got lots of compliments on it. They really treat you well there and are very accommodating to your requests. Before the wedding even our other venders were very excited to be working there because they run things so well. Only 1 small critique--the signature drinks served to the head table tasted a little water down, but from guests on the main floor no one had any issues. Overall though extremely satisfyed with our choice!Greystone Hall's reply:

Magnificent wedding venue!!
Words cannot describe how happy we are that we chose Greystone Hall!! We had our ceremony and reception there and everything was perfect!! The venue is just gorgeous and has so much character and charm. Ron, Kelly and Christine were all amazing to work with and we really enjoyed the whole planning process with them as well! The staff is very attentive and kept our guests happy the whole night. The food was incredibly delicious and all our guests raved about it!! Everything about Greystone was fantastic and I would recommend this venue to anyone! Very grateful to all the staff for making our wedding so memorable!Greystone Hall's reply:

Greystone Hall was an absolutely perfect venue! We knew right away when we saw the ballroom that we wanted to get married here. There is so much history in this building and it's beyond gorgeous. The coordinators and staff also just blew us away with their amazing customer service and attention to detail. Marcia was amazing to work with for the ceremony, and Ron and Christine knocked it out of the park at the reception! Every single employee that was also there to support us that day were great (maintenance, sound, servers, bartenders, chefs, etc.) They were so accommodating, allowed us to make suggestions and determine feasibility, and were so attentive and supportive. Not to mention THE FOOD! Everything was delicious. This place operates like a well oiled machine! -

Greystone has a dream-team of associates who will work to make your special day perfect (including Marsha Newman, Ron Dorsey and Misti Sherman). They anticipated needs and answered essential questions that weren't even on my radar. My wedding day was stress-free because I felt completely confident about the event management and planning with the team. As a Program Manager, I am very meticulous, and their ability to nail down details, hit key milestones and deliver was exceptional!
The hall itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the food is delicious. We received dozens of compliments from guests that raved about the venue. Greystone helped me realize the vision for my wedding that I had dreamed about! -

The best venue thus far!
I cannot say enough about the staff and the experience I had at the Greystone Hall. The service, attentiveness, food and the staff went above and beyond my expectations. They really put me at ease and made me feel like they were a part of "my team". The venue is fabulous, I wish I could do it all over again, I would not change one thing! -

We can't say enough amazing things about our wedding at Greystone Hall on November 2, 2019! As a bride who works in the wedding industry I was very particular about the venue we would choose and what it provided/offered. After our initial tour with Marsha we were sold. She was able to answer all of our (my) questions with ease, even the obscure ones that most brides don't think about. As the planning process continued the staff at Greystone was there to answer any questions I had along the way. Everything from the tasting and planning meeting handled by Ron, to setting up the venue the week of with the help of Christine was perfect.
The day of the wedding we were both able to relax and let the professional staff at Greystone take over and let our wedding vision come to life. Family and friends in attendance all had such amazing things to say about all aspects of the day and the venue itself. Greystone is very much a Cleveland like wedding venue hidden in downtown Akron.
We truly can't say enough about the professionalism of Marsha, Ron, Christine, and all the Greystone staff we encountered in-between. -

Beautiful venue with very experienced staff!
First of all the pictures do not do this place justice! Greystone was so professional and clearly has had lots of experience with weddings. Ron and everyone I worked with were very knowledgable, flexible, experienced and prompt with responses. They provide catering (it was really good!), the bar, the linens, chairs and tables which meant I didn't have to coordinate with/pay other vendors! Because they cater the event the price to rent the venue is super cheap! After the first meeting they will give you a price estimate for food, bar, linens, chairs, etc and it is all inclusive with tax and tips so there really are no surprises with payment. We met with Ron to do the menu tasting and they have a great variety of options. He also guided us through planning a very detailed timeline of the night, things we didn't even think about! He took all our vendor names (DJ, photobooth, florist, bakery) and contacted them to set up delivery time and set up- I didn't even talk to these vendors day of and everything was set up perfectly! They were flexible with last minute changes right up to the day before. The day of the reception the wedding coordinator with us kept everything moving smoothly and made sure to check in with us. Their attention to detail really shows that they have a lot of experience and really care that the night goes perfectly for the couple. My reception went so smoothly and I felt so relaxed as the only thing I had to do that day was get ready and show up! We have gone to other weddings since ours and talked with other couples and realize how lucky we were to have no complaints with our venue. Our experience with Greystone was above and beyond what we expected and we still remain amazed at how perfect our night was! I can't recommend this venue enough! -

Beyond our expectations and a dream come true
First off, Marsha took us on a tour of the facility and listened to what our goals and dreams were and then helped us to envision those happening in the space at Greystone. From there, after deciding to have our reception at Greystone, Ron responded within hours with any small or large questions we had throughout the whole process. Everything was done beyond our expectations. For example, the servers delivered the bride and groom's plates to our table after we filled them at the buffet. Little details throughout the night were above and beyond our expectations and our guests received that as well. -

The service, from the time we booked until the last second of our wedding was perfect. I would tell anyone to plan their wedding at the Greystone. It is stress free, as they take care of EVERYTHING, and just breathtaking. Not to mention, the food is INCREDIBLE! The coordinator even went above and beyond when our DJ backed out the night before the wedding. Ron Dorsey at Greystone called around and found us an extremely last minute, PHENOMENAL DJ. -

So many guests were saying it was the best wedding food they ever had. The building is elegant and service is unbelievable! Definitely a hidden gem in downtown Akron. They saved our wedding day! We are happy we followed our gut & changed our venue to Greystone 4 months prior to our wedding. Highly recommend to any couple looking to have a classy & elegant wedding! -

Amazing!
Had a December wedding here and everything was absolutely perfect! The set up/take down, food, service and staff, I could go on and on. Amazing and adorable price for what is offered! I could re-live our day here over and over again! -

While not the cheapest option, the money you spend will be noticed by your guest. The food and venue are tremendous. Rob and Kelly run a tight ship, and they know what they’re doing. The only hurdle or negative mark that I have is nit picking, because of how their organization is set up, they have rules and ways of doing things. Not a bad thing, just takes a little trust. If I had to go back and make all our decisions over again, I am 100% confident I would choose Greystone again. -

WOW! The food was fantastic, the venue is STUNNING, the cater waiters were intuitive. I cannot recommend Greystone enough!! Ron was an amazing head of catering-- he anticipated all of our questions and made planning a wedding for the first time feel like a walk in the park. We had a lovely tasting and personalized the menu to exactly what we wanted. Ron set the room, designed the floor plan, helped us pick linens, and put our minds at ease. My dad is still talking about the short ribs!! Delicious!
During the wedding (buffet) the spoon for a serving dish fell into the food and before my sister could scoop it out with her fingertips, the cater waiter swept up the entire dish and brought a fresh one out from the kitchen! Wow!
The jack-of-all-trades, Michael was an awesome help with audio visual set-up and general logistics. Awesome guy.
After the wedding, the venue packed-up all of our decorations so carefully and thoughtfully for us. My parents went back on Monday to pick everything up. Nothing was broken or misplaced. The only things we had to be concerned with the night of the wedding were our gifts and card box. Everything else was taken care of. Incredible!
My only complaint was the difficult sales staff. We worked with Christine and Kelly. While setting up decorations for our wedding I had to ask over and over for someone to move our cupcakes into the refrigerator. No one from Greystone helped us set up décor (except to yell at us about putting UNLIT candles too close to the curtains) and they kept disappearing to their offices across the street for long stretches of time; We were alone without anyone to assist us. To my horror, Kelly walked a prospective couple through my wedding set-up without offering me a lick of help. I'm not sure if this is a normal practice, but our contract listed Byers as my 'Day of Coordinator'. She coordinated nothing.
Fast forward to getting ready. I'm having trouble with my dress and beginning to panic. The stress alone was enough to send me into orbit. Enter Kelly. This woman huffed and puffed about us running late. She checked her watch constantly, reminded us that we were late LOUDLY, and kept announcing the time. It was really troubling and not the kind of positive energy I wanted in the room. I was finally laced up and ready and Kelly prevented me from taking photos with my mom, my sister, and my friends. We were hustled upstairs to the chapel without any of the photos I'd envisioned. We were less than 15 minutes late to start the wedding. The music was NOT provided by the venue for our ceremony as previously promised, so when my Matron of Honor walked out and the Wedding March began to play, Kelly lost her mind-- adding stress to the moments before I walked down the aisle-- telling me that my DJ, who stepped in at the last minute to provide ceremony music, was ruining everything.
Byers is, unfortunately, one of the most memorable parts of my wedding. In the worst way. -
