    Wedding at Edgefield

    Brittany was hired two years ago to coordinate our wedding. We had a lot of details planned out, but mostly needed a coordinator on the day of the ceremony. Brittany worked over-time once we had to cancel during Covid and remained with us the following year when the event finally occurred. She was amazing, such a blessing to have working with us. She thought through all the little details that we didn't have time to deal with and made the event day magical and perfect. The cleanup afterwards was as spotless as the setup itself. We completely recommend Brittany for your special day (and in fact asked if she could just organize the rest of our lives for us....is that possible?) Love, Sarah and Wendy

    The best decision I've ever made

    We reached out to Brittany for day-of coordination about 2 months before our wedding. Within a few weeks, our wedding was cancelled due to COVID. Brittany helped us reschedule the entire wedding- vendors, musicians, photographer, venue. As we neared our second go-round, we were constantly amazed with Brittany's attention to detail. She did SO MUCH MORE than day-of coordination. She gave us piece of mind every day! The day of the wedding I knew that I could relax and actually be present for the whole weekend because Brittany was there, FLAWLESSLY executing everything!

    Melissa was GREAT! You NEED her!


    I am so incredibly grateful for Melissa! She went above and beyond and was very helpful with every detail that you don’t even know about yet. She is professional and very good at being a wedding coordinator. At the same time, we is fun and friendly. The perfect combination of organized and hard-working yet friendly and helps you enjoy planning and your wedding festivities. If you’re wondering if you need a wedding planning, the answer is YES! I can’t imagine navigating all the to-do’s without her and I even had my mom helping me with everything. There are so many details that I didn’t even know existed and she was calm and helpful in helping us navigate it all.
    Our indoor venue fell through 3 weeks before our wedding and she brought her expertise and did so much extra work to help us change our venue to outside (in the April rain). THANK YOU!!!

    A Must for Your Wedding

    I have to start by saying if you’re reading this and you’re unsure whether you want to invest in a wedding planner for your big day, my now husband and I were in your shoes but I’m here to tell you that Melissa is BEYOND WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY. From the minute we sat down with her at our first meeting, we knew we had to have her! She took care of everything you can think of (and made it look easy) and we always knew she was a quick email or phone call away. Having her in our corner made us feel so at ease and allowed us to enjoy every single moment of the planning process AND wedding day itself. At the eleventh hour, I had to find a new makeup/hair team and Melissa had a list of available artists she trusted/worked with before in LESS than 24 hours. I was so worried about making sure I brought all my bridesmaids their robes and gifts that I forgot my own, and Melissa without hesitation picked it up and delivered to me the morning of. She took care of our big exit (a pedicab through sparkly downtown Portland back to our hotel-so beautiful!). She offers so much creative input in whatever ideas or vision you have. Most importantly though, she continually reminded us that this is OUR day, that what we wanted came first and before anything else, and made us feel like gold. These are only a few examples of how Melissa went above and beyond. The without-a-doubt best decision we made for our wedding!

    Fantastic wedding planner

    Melissa was an absolutely AMAZING wedding planner!! She worked tirelessly with my husband and I throughout our engagement process to make sure we had our perfect day. Countless requests, questions and momentary freak outs were responded to promptly and efficiently. She took care of every single little detail I could possibly think of! Looking back our our wedding day, I cannot stress the vital role Melissa played. She planned the entire day of schedule, helped coordinate the vendors, and made sure everything went smoothly. I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes and that was WONDERFUL. Melissa made our dream wedding a reality!! She is kind, incredibly organized and responsive, and knows weddings like the back of her hand. I can not recommend her enough!!

    Melissa is an amazing organized kind coordinator. She did so many tasks well. Most brilliant idea Melissa had: photographer took bridal party pics prior to ceremony. So only needed family pics after. This was huge help as it was outdoor ceremony in high 90's. Thank God we had her. She made everything go so smooth & well.

    Melissa and her team are fantastic

    Melissa and her team were AMAZING! She helped make our wedding match our expectations and even more! She is detail-oriented, efficient, fun and friendly. She works so well with the vendors and helps everyone feel at ease. Melissa was also indispensable in avoiding a crisis! Days before my event, one of my bridesmaids badly ripped her mail-ordered dress. Melissa offered to go to a bridal store and found a dress that matched so closely you could hardly tell it was different! Your event is in excellent hands with Melissa!

    I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Melissa. This woman was built to be a wedding planner. She’s capable, professional, sincere, detail oriented, fun, thrifty (for example, she saved us hundreds of dollars by reusing flowers from our wedding for our breakfast, sorting it all with the venue without being asked by us), extremely responsive, excellent at putting out fires (without letting you know anything is on fire - what else can you ask for??), a calming joy to be around, and great at staying on schedule. She kept the day focused on us and responded to any question from us about wedding stuff with ease. She went above and beyond in so many ways. Hire her!

    For many brides planning a wedding is a stressful but fun experience. There are so many details and checklist that seems 10 miles long. I know when I was planning my thoughts were where the heck do I begin?!

    This is where Melissa Griffin plays the perfect role. Melissa was recommended to my husband and I by a really close family friend. They are the kind of people that if they recommend you have someone like this you don't question it. It was seriously the BEST decision I have made in the whole wedding process.

    From the day we met Melissa she was organized, fun, positive, asked amazing questions and was supportive in whatever we needed to make our day exactly what we needed. She was there to take my late night texts and last minute panic phone call moments days before my wedding.

    Melissa was so amazing about reviewing with my mother and I days before all of our decor and exactly how we wanted everything set up. The day of the wedding she had her assistant Britt with her. Melissa and Britt both came by our hotel to check in with myself and my bridesmaids and my husband and his groomsman to make sure we didn't need anything. I seriously know for a FACT that the day would not have turned out as flawless and beautiful if it wasn't for Melissa and her team.

    My wedding was everything I could hope for and I cannot recommend Melissa enough. I truly do not have enough words to describe how flawless she is at her job. She was clearly born to do events and is such a pro. Melissa was there with such tiny but SO helpful little tricks when it came to planning and decorating and allowed me to put my fears aside and enjoy my day.

    Spending the money I did to have Melissa and her team was the BEST money I spent for my whole wedding. I cannot recommend her enough. We love you Melissa and were so grateful to have you apart of our special day!!

    The day we met Melissa I knew we had the right person. She was instantly so warm, understanding and focused. She knew what questions to ask, and how to balance all of the opinions (seriously so many opinions). Right away, she was insanely helpful in finding vendors, even setting up appointments and going all day with us back to back. Throughout the coordination process I truly handed her the reigns, she has excellent style and is a great listener so I knew she would make good decisions. It was only a few weeks into working with her when I knew that I could trust her with anything. By the time the wedding came she was so much more then a coordinator. I trusted her completely to do everything that needed to get done, and to manage my emotions on top of that. She handled every single hurdle with grace, solved problems before I even knew they existed and made sure the day was perfect. The day of the wedding everything just happened like magic around me, and I know it was all because of Melissa. Truly, I didn’t think of ANYTHING except for marrying the love of my life. I cannot thank her enough for paving the way for me to have a truly enjoyable wedding day. I think my feelings about Melissa can be summed up in the fact that on the day of the rehearsal, I was the most excited to see her, over any other friends and family, because it meant that my job was done and I could just relax.

    When I talk to other brides now, the #1 piece of advice I give is to hire a coordinator, I cannot imagine putting our wedding money to a better use then hiring Melissa. Plus, she helped keep us in budget with all her suggestions and decision making. Budget for a coordinator, then hire Melissa. You will not regret it. No question her business will only keep growing, and soon every bride in the city will be knocking on her door. She is fantastic.

    P.S. She gave us the adorable bow tie and leash for our pups (pictured!)
