  Shawn totally delivered!!

  We cannot say enough amazing things about Shawn!! From the moment we met him, my husband and I knew this would be an awesome partnership. Shawn was so kind and quick to accept our music requests. We wanted to start out with family friendly “classic” wedding music and then transition into true club music with lots of fading between songs. We were blown away with how he completely understood the assignment!! He really has a passion for music and DJing and we were lucky to have him at our rave in the woods.
  
  We had a fairly spread out venue with our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and dance floor all in different places. I was really concerned with how Shawn would navigate this but he was so professional and easy and ended up setting up his equipment in two different spots!! It was perfect and really was such a relief.
  
  Not only was Shawn professional and talented, but he was also such a fun guy to have around!! Our guests absolutely loved him. They’re all still talking about “Sexy Shawn: dopest DJ in the PNW”
  
  Our wedding reception was awesome and we really owe it to Shawn for giving 110% effort and throwing us a damn good party at an incredibly reasonable rate.
  
  Definitely hire him (and Groove On Hyde). You won’t be disappointed!

  10/10 A List Team Player Vendor

  We worked with them recently as their micro Day of Coordination team. They were very nice, quick to respond via email (COMMUNICATION is BIG in our book), incredibly fast setting up, and calm under pressure. There were some major issues day of, and they didn’t once complain. They were just asking “ How can I help?” or “How can we adjust?” “Do you need us to stall for like 20 minutes?” We have never worked with the team from Groove on Hyde Street before and we so pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism that they have. Our couple had DJ David H. He not only went above and beyond to find Ukrainian/ Polish/ current non English world music for the couple- he confidently mixed it into rotation. The sound was solid for speeches, amped up at the correct moments, guests of all ages enjoyed themselves and our team was very impressed. Kept our 32 guest micro wedding on the dance floor for hours. 10 out of 10 will refer DJ David H. and the incredible team at Groove on Hyde Street to any of our couples.

  I worked with DJ Darrius on a recent project, and was so extremely satisfied with his work. I have worked with a ton of DJ's, and i know a pro's pro when i work with one, and Darrius, is a PROFESSIONAL DJ. So, if you want someone that takes cares of all the details, is so responsible and dependable, i HIGHLY recommend Darrius.

  Dwayne was our DJ/emcee for our wedding banquet out in the Bay Area, CA. He responded promptly to messages and requests for phone meetings leading up to our big day. Dwayne also mentioned scouting our venue, prior to our wedding day, to ensure there would be no issues with his equipment. On the day of our banquet, Dwayne was professional and on schedule with announcements, and played music requested with good song transitions. We also received good feedback from our guests. Would recommend if you need a DJ/emcee for your wedding. Thanks Dwayne/ Darius and Groove on Hyde Street!

  Darius was an AMAZING DJ for our wedding! We had a unique layout with the ceremony and reception rooms, but Darius navigated it flawlessly. He also took our eclectic music taste and spun it into pure dance floor gold! His transitions were smooth, and he kept the energy high all night. He even cued the music perfectly for the songs that were special for us that we were hoping to hear (songs from our first date!). Darius is a joy to work with and will make your wedding unforgettable. If you're looking for a wedding DJ who will keep your party going strong, Darius is the best!

  Yodeling Fox Monthly Tenant Karaoke

  Darius has been great to work with over the past several months at our building's social hour - karaoke edition.   Darius was great! We gave him some songs to give him an idea of what kind of vibe we wanted for our reception and he took it from there. He read the crowd very well and understood when to switch genres if needed. Our wedding ceremony and reception were at different locations and he made sure to be set up at both with plenty of time. Thanks for making our wedding so much fun!

  My team and I from Table Catering Co. got the pleasure of working with DJ David at a wedding on Lake Sammamish. David was efficient, organized, and flexible. He was focused on the guest experience, making sure that the guests heard every song they wanted to hear and played song that kept the energy high. He was communicative throughout the night and made sure we were all on the same page. It was a spectacular wedding with amazing music and good energy!

  Storybook wedding!!

  Thank you Darius for helping us create the absolutely perfect storybook wedding for Katie and Tyler! The music was fantastic from procession to last dance and everyone had SO much fun dancing the night away!
  
  The whole wedding went off without a hitch! The photo booth was a blast and the digital pictures will be a wonderful reminder of what a joyful, amazing, happy day we created for our family & friends!
  
  Thank you for working with the kids to plan all the music prior to the event! Such a well organized system!

  Darius and Art were wonderful

  Darius the owner was super easy to deal with, communicated well, and listed to our ideas. Honestly I was kind of a pain in the a** to deal with as I had a million questions but he was patient and understanding. The DJ did a tremendous job, was dressed nice, set up a really good sounding system, was punctual, and made the party a blast. Overall I'm very pleased and will be using their services again in the future.

  Darius was the ultimate professional to work with! He worked attentively with the bride and groom leading up to the wedding to understand what they wanted their celebration to feel like. He achieved that seamlessly. He read the crowd and kept the dance floor filled the entire evening with his music choices. It was a party, and there is no question how important it is to have the right DJ to create that atmosphere. Darius is THAT DJ! He worked thoughtfully behind the scenes, before, during and after the wedding (we used his photobooth service as well, and he sent all of the photos taken throughout the night to us digitally), keeping the focus right where it should be - on the bride and groom!
