  Great place. Price was reasonable. Food was fantastic. They really let us customize the room to our full content. Lorrie was a pleasure to work with. The wedding went smoothly and on time. Would Reccomend.

  Lorrie was amazing to work with! She is flexible to meet up with especially for last minute things. My guests are still talking about the amazing food Groton Inn put out for our wedding. The Chicken cordon Bleu was delicious! Lorrie is such a sweetheart!

  Had a spectacular wedding day thanks to all the careful planning by Lorrie. The tables were set up and decorated as we asked. Lorrie added her own details to make it even more beautiful. Every space we needed for my wedding was decorated with lots of care. Just beautiful. The food was simply delicious! and plenty of it. Awesome cooks!! Plenty of appetizers for the entire cocktail hour. Always refilling trays. The beverages- all so good. The plated meals were beautifully presented by the staff. They were all so helpful to our guests. Our guests raved about the delicious food and beautiful views. All had an awesome time!

  I wanted to take time to say thank you so much for being a part of our special day. It was truly the best day of our lives and we loved every minute of it! Thank you for continually working with us and helping us create personalized touches, and an amazing day, truly unforgettable memories. You were patient, not pushy nor did you rush us into a decision just because. It was a very stressful time for Cam and I and our mothers, we couldn't have asked for more than we got. You managed us and them wonderfully. At the reception, everything fell into place and everyone had an amazing time. Words cannot fully express our gratitude. The food was amazing and our guests were more than happy to let us know that they enjoyed dinner. Your ability to manage all of our guest, not only all night, but during dinner was well noted by us and our parents as well. My father was impressed in your timing and understanding on how to get people moving and organized. When I needed or anyone needed anything, there you were. My mother-in-law was just so pleased and said, "I just had to look for the red top and there she was. She was professional, dependable and helpful, she really knows what she is doing." We couldn't praise you and the staff enough they did an amazing job. Not only was it an amazing magical wedding at St. John's Church in Niantic, but it was a fun fill, food fill, cake fill, dance fill night at the Groton Inn and Suites. We were very pleased and overjoyed in how everything turned out and how smoothly you and your staff made everything for us and our guests. Everyone is are still talking about how much fun it was and ​we ​just wanted to let you know that. We will definitely recommend your business to anyone and everyone who is listening.   I never imagined I would have my wedding here because I didn't think it was upscale enough. Boy was I wrong! Brian & Beverly provided the most professional service! They answered every phone call and ensured my wedding would be perfect. They provided a tasting for up to 6 people so we could choose our menu. I had red and white wines on every table, open bar for 5 hours and the cocktail hour/reception food was superb! The allowed me to decorate with anything. They even provided chair covers and sashes. What a HUGE difference that makes. We had an evening wedding and after tons of white toule, white lights and candles, I walked into the most incredible space! My wedding was unforgettable. Thank you Brian & Beverly! xo

  Brain and Beverly where great with all there help with our wedding I would highly recommend the Groton Inn & Suites to any one to have there reception or any occasion there.   We had our daughter’s wedding here in February. It was amazing and the bride, groom and guests were very pleased! The staff was great and Lorrie couldn’t have made the experience any better if she tried!! You truly feel as though she is the planner, hostess and your savior all in one.

  When booking a wedding at the Groton Inn, you can have one of two time slots for your reception, and during the busy season they sometimes do two events in a day, which means that there isn't a lot of flexibility in terms of timing, setup, etc. The event rooms are a little on the dated side, but I don't really have any complaints there. Because we had 100 guests attend, we got a complimentary room in the hotel which was nice. It had a king sized bed, a couch, a mini fridge, and a cramped little bathroom but other than that the room wasn't anything to write home about. The service staff were great. I heard great reviews about all the waiters and bar staff from my guests, and the event coordinator on site was fabulous (though at times I sensed that she felt she was too good to be working on our offbeat wedding.) On the other hand, the head waiter was amazing. My only major complaint about the entire event was that the vegan dish (a portobello mushroom stack with roasted red pepper puree) and the vegetarian dish (pasta primavera) got mixed up because the kitchen staff put cheese on the vegan dish (therefore making it not vegan), so in reality the vegan dish was vegetarian and the vegetarian dish was vegan. I also heard both dishes were pretty flavorless in general. If vegan or vegetarian dishes are a concern for you, MAKE SURE you discuss exactly what constitutes vegan/vegetarian before the event, and do a tasting of the dish if possible.
