  I found Debra via a web search and she is a true gem! We exchanged emails and then talked by phone and immediately I felt a connection. I met Debra for the first time in person the day before our wedding. She listened and took my idea and made it a reality. My hair is just past my ears but she managed to create an "up do" that looked like I had shoulder length hair. My make-up was perfect. As our wedding was in the late afternoon I wanted to keep the make-up light, no heavy eye and a fair amount of shimmer. She did it - it was perfect! She even used her magic skills to cover up my tan lines (I wore a strapless dress). I think my favorite part was that the morning of our wedding we woke up to rain - Debra called me around 10am to reassure me that the rain was due to pass by Noon and sure enough - by the time she arrived at 2pm the sun was out the sidewalks were drying. She truly has a talent and we are blessed she shares it with wedding parties along the central coast. Thank you Debra for helping make our day so special.

  I just loved her! She did such an amazing job! First she was so comfortable to be around. She is funny and just had amazing positive energy. I was so relaxed with her. She made me look great for my rehearsal. Then on the wedding day she showed up very early which was such a relief because as a bride you fear something going wrong or running late. She also did my mom's hair and makeup and she looked absolutely stunning. She did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup and couldn't have asked for anything more. I highly recommend her to everyone for any special occasion they might have.

  Debra does a great job with hair and make-up, and my wedding day hair turned out even better than during our trial! She let my entire bridal party get ready in her home so we could go straight from her salon to the venue. She really made the entire process easy and enjoyable.

  Debra was fantastic! She is so sweet and welcoming and was so patient to get mine and all my bridesmaids hair done on time. She even did my grandmother's at the last minute! I would recommend would be doing the trial run a few weeks before the wedding, instead of the day before. This gives you time to see it in pictures and change it if you want to.

  Choosing Debra Angell to do my hair & make up for my wedding was one of the best decision I made - I can't say enough good things!
  
  She provided some really good advice prior to meeting with her - what types of hair pieces I should look for, tips on growing out my hair - and was extremely friendly and comforting on the phone. In person she's even better! The day before session was a lot of fun. I liked seeing how my hair & make up would look prior to the event and she really accentuated my features. My mom had had a great time that afternoon too.
  
  The day of, she came to me at the venue and did an AMAZING job on both my mom & mother-in-law. My mom was so happy how her hair turned out that she didn't shy away from any pictures. My father-in-law hung out all afternoon with us ladies and Debra took it in stride, keeping him involved and entertained. She provided some excellent make up tips for all throughout the day too.
  
  My hair was perfect for the event, my dress & my face. Somehow she made it look like I had a lot more hair than I do - I loved it! Thank you Debra -- every time I look at the pictures my eyes gravitate to my up-do and I think fondly of you!

  Debra Angell is AWESOME!! I got a good vibe from her the minute I spoke with her on the phone. She is one of the most kind-hearted, positive, talented people we worked with throughout the entire planning process. I was really nervous at first because I was only going off of the vibe I was getting from her and from her portfolio online. You just never know. But as soon as I went to my trial run, told her what I wanted, Debra had it nailed. She was perfect. Listened to what I wanted, gave me advice and suggestions, and together we came up with the EXACT hair and makeup I pictured. I love this woman so much I hope to stay in touch with her just because she is such a kick in the pants!! She is so happy and fun and I just want to be friends with her. Love you Debra!! PS -- I now own brown eyeliner... are you proud?? :)

  Debra made me look beautiful for my big day! At the trial, she made my Mom, MOH, and me feel right at home. She even offered us snacks! On the big day, she got everyone's hair and makeup done on time and she made everyone look great!

  I was looking for a hair and makeup professional in the Morro Bay, CA area. Not from that area, I checked the Internet and came across Debra Angell's website. From the very start I was impressed with its presentation of her expertise. I met with Debra on one of my pre-wedding trips down to Morro Bay. She is very personable and easy to work with.   Debra was fantastic at putting me at ease and did a beautiful job. Our wedding was a destination wedding so I was not able to meet her until the day before. She made sure that we still had time to do a dry run the day before so I had beautiful hair and make-up for the dinner the night before the wedding and fabulous hair and make-up for the wedding.

  Debra did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my wedding, just a total pro in every sense. We did a trial run the afternoon before the wedding to work out what I wanted and what I didn't. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her work and her cheerful aura made the morning of getting ready that much more stress-free.

  I loved my hair for my wedding. It was exactly want I wanted. Debra was amazing and very supportive of me on my day. Not only did she do amazing hair and makeup but she talked me through all the stress and calmed me down for my big walk.

  Debra Angell, of Hair and Makeup by Angell, did my hair and makeup for my wedding day on May 18, 2013. I am so thankful that Debra was there; she truly went above and beyond my expectations. When I arrived at the chapel, I was a frazzled bride; Debra instantly calmed me down and helped me stay in the moment. In addition to the fact that she made me look beautiful, it was the little things that she did that meant so much to me: making me feel comfortable and cared for, running interference with my fiancé before the ceremony, helping me into my dress, reminding me to breathe, packing my belongings and putting them into my car while we were busy with the photographer.... basically being a godsend, as well as a rock for this nervous bride. I can't express how grateful I am to Debra for her professionalism and coolness under pressure, as well as her incredible kindness. I wanted to look radiantly lovely on my wedding day and Debra made me look better than I could have hoped for. I highly recommend Debra Angell; you will be in good hands!

  Since I never wear makeup, I didn't have a clue of what I wanted for my wedding hair/makeup, especially after having a nightmare run thru with another makeup/hair stylist that made me look and feel like a clown. I like that she had ideas and suggestions, listened to what I liked and didn't like.... and was patient in working with me while I figured out what would be best for my features while being about to match a style that went along with my 20's theme. Debra is a true professional, personable, and has great skills.   Debra was so great to work with! Since I was a destination wedding bride, she met with me once I got in town at her house for my trial hair and makeup. She was very efficient and listened to my requests. On the morning of the wedding she arrived right on time to our hotel and got to work on bridesmaids. We were going for a very natural but still elegant look and she pulled it off on each of my girls. She did well styling all different types of hair due to different ethnicities with no problem.   Debra was so great to work with! Since I was a destination wedding bride, she met with me once I got in town at her house for my trial hair and makeup. She was very efficient and listened to my requests. On the morning of the wedding she arrived right on time to our hotel and got to work on bridesmaids. We were going for a very natural but still elegant look and she pulled it off on each of my girls. She did well styling all different types of hair due to different ethnicities with no problem. She gave the moms a great deal and they were really happy with the results as well. I would definitely recommend working with her!

  Debra was so much fun! Man, that gal can sure work a curling iron! She did the wedding party hair, and my two daughters have very long, thick hair. Debra never complained!! My bridal make-up and hair was beautiful, and she made my mom and sister look like queens. And the personal touch that she gives, really put me at ease on my special day. Thank you, Debra!

  Debra is beyond amazing! Not only did she do my hair and makeup (which included extensions and a gigantic flower), she did the hair and make up for four bridesmaids and two moms!! I was complimented all evening that I looked amazing and I couldn't have done it without her. My mascara even stayed FLAWLESS for pictures after bawling during my ceremony. I can't recommend Debra more highly. She cares about her customers and is ridiculously talented. Book her. Book her now before she fills up. You won't be disappointed!

  She does quality work on hair and make-up. She comes to your location for the same cost that other bridal hairstylists charge for you to go to their salon. She was friendly and helpful (like a bridesmaid helping with my dress and jewelry).

Other potential vendors I spoke to tried to convince me to get fake eyelashes etc. Debra listened to what I wanted and produced the look I wanted. Thank you! She was easy-going and worked around my schedule for the day. She even helped me with a beauty mishap the week before the wedding. It was a pleasure working with her and I would recommend her to other brides.
