I hired Hair by Mimi for my wedding specifically with the Hollywood Waves hairstyle in mind. Not only is Mimi a complete gem of a person, she is SO talented and professional - I have never felt more beautiful than I did with this hair on my wedding day! I received countless compliments ALL night long - everyone was obsessed with my hair! And it lasted all through the night of sweaty, humid dancing. Hire Mimi for any special event - especially your wedding - and you will NOT be disappointed!! Thank you again Mimi!! -

Mimi is such a sweet person and it’s hard not to love her. I found her on Instagram through hashtag searches. Her Instagram sold me before I even had my trial. She was able to fit me in since I was coming from out of town. Originally, for my trial I chose to do an updo. Ultimately, I decided to go with Hollywood waves, which is her specialty. My hair stayed in place all day, even when I had to put it up in a bun for paebaek. She did all of my bridesmaid’s’ makeup and hair beautifully as well. If you look at her Instagram, hair_bymimi, it’s self-explanatory. She is amazing 🙌🏻🔥 -

Hair for my wedding
Mimi is the absolute best! When I saw her Instagram page I thought that she would be booked already but I wanted her so bad for my wedding and surprisingly she was not booked. My hair came out so beautiful for my wedding! She’s seriously the sweetest and best hair stylist ever! Thank you so much! -

Mimi is very professional and sweet hairstylist Mimi did my hair for my niece engagement party. She did a great job, her work is very neat. That day I got my hair done around 11 and it lasted so long. I would go to her agaian.

Mimi was amazing for hair and I would highly recommend her. She was super easy to work with before the wedding, showed up early the day of the wedding, and despite people changing their minds as to how they wanted their hair, she accommodated them all with a smile. I would highly recommend her when you need someone to make your hair look stunning! -

After one failed trial with another vendor, I asked my makeup artist for suggestions and she led me to Mimi. Immediately I was at ease with her friendly, relaxed personality and she was super accommodating to help me find exactly the right style for my big day. Mimi made my entire bridal party (7 ladies including me) look amazing and we finished on time too! I can't say enough good things about her - she was just phenomenal! Thank you Mimi for making me feel and look my best on my wedding day ;) -

Amazinggggg!!!
I don’t know where to begin. Mimi is my all time favorite hair stylist in the DMV area!! I found her on IG 3 months before my wedding back in 2017 and she was an absolute delight! I was planning my wedding from Canada, so I didn’t really know what to expect when I went for my trial. I’ve dealt with unprofessional and not so talented stylists in the past as I have family who lives out here and been to various weddings over the years - so I was a little nervous.
Her professionalism, work ethic, confidence, kindness is beyond the world. I haven’t met anyone in this industry, in VA or Canada, who has her persona. Any person who has booked her in the past understands and agrees with this!
The moment I met her, we automatically connected. She made me feel calm and listened to everything I asked of her to do. She took my imagination of how I wanted my hair to be and brought It to life - TWICE! Once at the trial and the second on my wedding day! Even my husband loved my hair! She was so sweet even in our text correspondence prior to meeting in person! I literally felt like I was asking a friend to be my hair stylist!
The day of my wedding, Mimi was punctual and enthusiastic. She was ready to get the day going and made sure my nerves were calm as she dolled me up. She cracked jokes, made suggestions, was social and kind with my family. She did a total of 10 women, if I can recall correctly, all in a matter of 5-6 hours! Talk about being productive! And let me tell you, that hair stayed in place, all night along... and into the next day lol!
I have continued and will continue to recommend Mimi to any future bride, bridesmaid, MOB, MOG, or any woman needing a stylist for any occasion. She is reasonably priced, and worth every dollar! That’s my girl forever and I’m so blessed to have her as my friend as well! Love you girl, and wishing you the best success always! -

Mimi is AMAZING at what she does. Over the years, she did my hair for my wedding and other parties. When I book her I know there’s nothing to worry about and whatever Updo or style she does on me, the final product will be beautiful. She is professional, caring, courteous, detailed and makes sure not a hair is out of place.
