We can’t say enough good things about Hamilton Hall! Our wedding day was perfect, Robin Perry and Vinwood Caterers were spectacular, and everyone had so much fun at such a unique and beautiful venue. Thank you HH!

We got married at Hamilton Hall in February 2019 and it could not have been more perfect. The ballroom is stunning and we loved the history of the building. Our ceremony photos in front of the gorgeous gilded mirror are stunning. And our outdoor photos on Chestnut Street are amazing.

But probably the biggest thing going for Hamilton Hall is Robin Perry, the event coordinator. She was AMAZING. She was so so helpful during the planning process, answering every question I had and even helped us get a discount on our thank you gifts. And on the day of she was outstanding. Everything ran so smoothly because of her. And she worked with our caterer (Vinwood) to make sure all of our decorations that we brought looked gorgeous (I DIYed our flowers and decor, so there was no florist to do this for us). She was an absolute pleasure to work with and really wants you to have the best day ever. I am so glad we got to work with her, and so so thankful to her for making our day absolutely perfect.

Also really worth mentioning: we had 100 guests and the alcohol bill, because you get to order from Kappy's and return the unopened portions), was only $1000. That's $10 per person. I mean, you can't beat that. Huge huge huge money saver versus venues that want to charge you 35+.

Last thing: the location is so perfect. It's walking distance to the Hawthorne Hotel, Salem Inn, and Salem Waterfront, so we didn't have to pay for shuttles. And there's so much for guests to do in Salem.

Altogether, we were thrilled with our Hamilton Hall wedding. Highly recommend!!!

I fell in love with Hamilton Hall as soon as we visited and Robin really sealed the deal for us! Not only does she have great connections across the North shore, she also provides fantastic advice on how to make the most of the rental period and wonderful cost saving tips! She was quick to reply to emails or let us know if there were any potential concerns; getting engaged and married within 8 months made getting one of the last liquor licenses a little stressful but we did it! It was the perfect backdrop for our December wedding and the hall had already been decorated for the holidays as an added bonus - not that this place needed much! The chandeliers and gold mirrors are already breath taking!

My partner and I has our ceremony at Hamilton Hall, and she and I were extremely happy with the choice. The space is beautiful and offers some great rooms for photos. Robin was just amazing to work with while planning. On the day of the reception (a Saturday in October) we had our last shuttle running late in traffic with a reader and close family member on board, and while I was panicking, Robin was gracious and reassuring! Hamilton Hall helped make ours a special and memorable day!

Hamilton Hall was perfect; I couldn't be happier! The hall itself is gorgeous and full of history, and the fact that it's a non-profit made us feel even better about giving them our money. Robin was absolutely fabulous to work with, answering my myriad questions in the months leading up to the wedding and handling the day-of coordination perfectly. It was truly one of the best nights of my life, and Robin was a big part of making that happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hamilton Hall was amazing. As a lifelong Salem resident, I always knew I wanted to get married there, it is a beautiful venue, and it is full of Salem history. When we went to go look at the venue we first met Robin, the day of coordinator, who ended up being so much more than that. I was able to e-mail her with questions, and her input helped immensely. If I was wondering what to do to to save money or what was a the best thing to do, I e-mailed Robin, and she gave me her input. The reception hall was amazing, It was beautiful, and everything I could have asked for. We got married the first weekend in November, and it was magical. the hall was beautiful. If you are thinking about getting married in Salem, you need to call Robin at Hamilton Hall- you will be happy you did.

We had the most amazing day at Hamilton Hall with Robin's support & guidance. She truly helped make our vision a reality. From recommended vendors to the flow of the day she made sure no detail was overlooked.

We had the most amazing experience with Robin at Hamilton Hall. The hall is beautiful and full of history. It is on a beautiful residential street just outside downtown Salem. It was nice to have the option to have the wedding inside or in the park across the residential street. I cannot recommend this site more highly. Everything went more smoothly than we could have even hoped for. The pictures are fantastic because every room in the building is stunning.

I would highly recommend Hamilton Hall as a wedding venue. I think it was the perfect mix of details- the lovely location on Chestnut Street in Salem (but walk-able to the bars for after), the beautiful outdoor ceremony option in the park across the street, the historical Hall and ballroom with amazing details and accents- just made it perfect for our New England wedding. Robin was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, just extremely helpful and insightful- including reaching out with ideas for vendors (that saved me money) and other recommendations that were so helpful that I never would have known. I can't say enough good things about Robin and the Hall, but I truly loved having my wedding there and would do it again in a heartbeat!

I know when people give everything 5 stars it seems like they're exaggerating, but I couldn't be happier with Hamilton Hall. More specifically Tricia Schott at Hamilton Hall, who helped make our wedding a complete success and totally stress free. From the moment we met her, we knew we had to have our wedding at Hamilton Hall. We were hell bent on a non-traditional ceremony and reception, and she had amazing suggestions and was incredibly supportive through out the entire process. The space is beautiful and hardly needs decorating, which definitely helped us save money. Tricia makes sure the preferred vendors on her list are among the best, and help to make everything run smoothly. I highly recommend Hamilton Hall for any event you might be planning. You will not be disappointed.

What a beautiful and underrated venue! The ballroom contains beautiful mirrors, windows, and chandeliers, which allows the room to be dressed up as much or as little as you would like. The original details are simply lovely. This truly is the most Salem venue you could possibly book. The coordinator Robin was on top of everything and really helped me feel organized and prepared in the months leading up to our event. We could not have pulled off such a wonderful event without her help and insights!

We recently had our wedding at Hamilton Hall and it was beautiful! I never had that wow moment with my dress, but I did when I saw this venue! The historic grand ballroom is charming and stunning with its grand mirrors and windows. It was absolutely the perfect place for us. We were able to choose our own vendors and customize everything, from the caterer to the bar to the decorations. It is also very reasonably priced for what you get, especially compared to some other venues in the area.

Robin, who is the coordinator, is so on top of things! She thinks of every little detail and gives great professional advice. We went over so many things I hadn't even thought of during our final walk-through - other brides, be prepared for this meeting! She made sure things went seamlessly on the day of, and her primary focus was making sure we were happy. Thank you Robin and staff!

On 09/22, I held my reception at the Hamilton Hall. I can't begin to explain the exceptional experience I received from the staff there at the venue.

If you are looking for a venue that provides personality and historical attributes all enclosed within a New England colonial style building, then this IS the venue for you.

Parking: 5 Stars
Don’t fret brides-to-be – while street parking is residential every day of the week – Hamilton Hall is contracted with all residential homes on the street to provide day of event parking.

Inside the Venue: 5 Stars
You walk into the first floor and through a small hallway into a historic and vintage part of the building with hardwood floors, area rugs, and benches aligning the walls. It’s a large space to host cocktail hour.
Just upstairs… when you walk upstairs, you are transformed into a totally different environment from the downstairs. Just behind the French doors is a beautifully LARGE ballroom. There are three gold mirrors that align the back wall and certainly are the BEST attribute to the entire space.

Staff: 5 Stars
These women who work here are professionals and do this daily as a job so put your trust and faith in knowing they KNOW what they are doing.

Unlike hotels and other wedding specialized venues, Hamilton Hall allows you to bring in your own catering and bar services. In this economy – being able to HOST your own open bar can save you thousands and thousands of dollars… this venue is worth exploring for this reason alone!

I can't begin to thank Hamilton Hall for ALL they've done for my husband and I on our wedding day. The venue, staff, and overall experience was exceptionally positive and would recommend this venue to any and EVERYONE. You won't regret your decision throughout your planning process... its affordable and if you are reading this review, a reason to inquire within!

Tricia at Hamilton Hall serves as your day of coordinator in addition to working for Hamilton Hall. The hall itself is historic, classy, and just spectacular looking. She coordinated everything for us perfectly, contacted all the vendors, stored all the items after the wedding and she is so helpful and flexible. It isn't the cheapest venue, but it is certainly on the lower end of the rental price scale and you get more than just the ballroom, you get a cocktail room, as well as a FABULOUS room for pictures and a dressing room and they only do one rental per day. Check it out, it's gorgeous.

Hamilton hall is gorgeous and unique. You won’t find another place like it. The food was fantastic and the ice cream sundae bar a huge hit!

The only feedback I will provide is that the hall is way too small for the 160 person cap. We had 145 people and there wasn’t enough room for dancing and cocktail hour was very congested. I would recommend not going over 120 people.

Otherwise, we had a lovely wedding.
