I can not rave about this venue enough! My husband and I saw 11 venues upstate in our search for something that was outside of Brooklyn/NYC. We saw many venues that were gorgeous but did not feel like the personal touch would be there. We wanted something original and felt professional and buttoned up while remaining approachable and FUN. This is exactly who Kate and Huck are and exactly what this venue is. Kate and Huck manage this venue with professionalism and grace. They make your day so easy and so lovely and nothing is overlooked. The venue itself is an absolute stunner. There are so many places for guests to relax and chat. I loved that guests would go outside and have a drink or be inside on the dance floor. It all felt seamless and very open. All of our family and friends can not believe how beautiful and lovely the day was. It was truly a dream.

From the second we stepped foot into Handsome Hollow, we knew we had to get married here. It truly is a special place. Kate and Huck are the absolute best of the best at what they do. They were incredibly responsive during our year of planning and when the weekend finally came, they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and looked beautiful. We had some weather issues after our rehearsal dinner, and they took full care to make sure everything went on as planned. We are so grateful we found them.

My wife and I got married at Handsome Hollow this summer. From the first minute of our visit until we packed our bags and left the Sunday after our wedding, Kate and Huck were an absolute dream to work with. We could not have hoped for a better venue and better people to work with.

The venue itself: Handsome Hollow is absolutely stunning. I’m biased but it’s the nicest wedding venue I’ve ever seen. We visited countless venues in the city and upstate and nothing came remotely close. We knew it was where we were going to get married the second we drove in and saw it. It’s really majestical.

Kate and Huck: Kate and Huck, the owners and operators of the venue are just incredible people. They are responsive, empathetic, positive, and helpful. We had a million questions planning our wedding and could always rely on Kate to respond. No question is out of bounds for them and they go out of their way to make things as seamless as possible.

Upstate/Location: The Catskills are gorgeous and the Western Catskills can feel like the most perfect and underrated part of the country. We were certain we wanted to get married there but coming from the city, had concerns about finding vendors, accommodation, etc.
Kate put as at ease from the first minute and we had quite a substantial number of top notch vendors to choose from for every aspect of our wedding. Accommodation turned out to be a breeze with really lovely B&Bs around the area, and some really large Airbnbs that are great for big groups a short distance away from Handsome Hollow. We also easily found a transportation company through Kate that was able to accommodate a wide range of destinations and each of our guests was picked up and dropped off to wherever they were staying with ease. Our caterer and florist were both incredible as well. There quite literally wasn’t a single vendor we struggled to find, in no small part due to Kate helping us every step of the way.

We cannot recommend Handsome Hollow enough.

Handsome Hollow is a stunning venue! We had rain in our forecast but no problem, because the barn is as beautiful as the grounds! When the skies cleared at the last moment, the staff made sure my daughter had her dream outdoor wedding. Kate, Huck and staff are responsive, professional, accommodating and just plain wonderful! Our vendors loved working with them and made my daughter's day so special. Little details are seen to and big details are handled. Handsome Hollow is perfect!

There is nowhere else to get married in the Catskills. Kate and Huck are absolutely perfect hosts! Everything about our day and leading up to it was easy, seemless, and perfect. My husband and I couldn't have had a better day. Love you Kate and Huck!! ♡♡♡

Stop your search, you have found your wedding venue!! Handsome Hollow is truly the most beautiful place in the world, and we feel so lucky and honored to have been married at such a gorgeous place and work with such an incredible team.
We visited HH *two and a half years* before our wedding day, and we knew from the moment we drove up that we were going to get married there. The venue itself is stunning--the farmhouse is gorgeous and impeccably decorated, the barn is beautiful and has some really sweet details, and the grounds themselves are truly like nothing you've ever seen at a wedding. We got married in the forest surrounded by trees and ferns, and all our guests commented that it was the most magical ceremony they'd ever been to. It is just so peaceful and beautiful, and it really felt like something out of a fairytale. It was exactly what we wanted. Our reception was in the barn surrounded by the beautiful greenery and the sounds of bullfrogs, and we may have even heard the slap of a beaver's tail at some point during the night. It was so, so special and we really could not have imagined a more beautiful place for the day.
But HH is more than just the grounds, it's the owners, Kate and Huck, and their team that make the experience so wonderful. From the moment we met them, they were so incredibly helpful, flexible, positive and fun. Kate even greeted us at our first meeting with cookies and coffee, which was a really sweet detail and an especially nice touch after a couple hours of driving in from NYC :) For the entire wedding planning process, which lasted *years*, Kate and Huck were there every step of the way to help. They even let us come back a month or so before the wedding to bury a bottle of bourbon on the grounds for good luck :)
The wedding weekend itself, we really could not have done it without Kate and Huck. We had both our wedding and our rehearsal dinner on the property, and they helped coordinate both of those events and really made them so beautiful and special. They also calmed us down when the weather was acting up, and it ended up being a really gorgeous weekend.
We really cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful, incredible venue and team. We would get married all over again at Handsome Hollow if we could! We love these guys and we love this place!!

Handsome Hollow is the most beautiful property on the planet! The vibe was excellent. Kate made us feel reassured and confident that every detail was accounted for. Our wedding was perfect! PERFECT!! 10/10 would get married here again!

Handsome Hollow is absolute magic. From the moment we stepped on the property and met with Kate, we knew we had to have our wedding there. We originally went to visit in the early spring before everything had bloomed and reserved our date trusting that it was exactly what we saw in photos, and we are so glad we did.
Kate and Huck made us feel like family from the get go, and were there every step of the way (over 15 months) to put our minds at ease, answer questions, and to generally make us excited for our wedding. Especially during such a time of uncertainty with Covid happening, Kate always made us reassured us that things would work out perfectly.

Kate and Huck assisted with vendor planning, site set-up, logistics, day-of coordination, the list goes on. They were there for us fully day of. From the very minute we arrived on the property, until the very end, Kate and Huck made sure everything ran smoothly.

And who can forget how absolutely stunning this property is? We got ready at the property, making full use of the farmhouse for the girls and the barn loft for the guys.
Come showtime, our guests were baffled by Handsome Hollow. “Where did you find this place?!” was the most common question of the night. After all, they’d had welcome drinks next to stone ruins, walked through a fern forest to a wooded ceremony, and partied all night long in a barn fit for a Hollywood film. When the sun goes down, the place turns into an entirely new type of dream, fit with string lights, lanterns, and Huck’s famous campfire.
We had a vision for our wedding, but Handsome Hollow blew every vision out of the water. Our guests are still telling us how incredibly beautiful the place was, and how high we set the bar for future weddings.
It was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Thank you, Kate and Huck for making our day everything it was.

We had our wedding at Handsome Hollow on 10/22/21, and there are truly no words for how perfect of an experience we had. The area of upstate NY, the barn, the farmhouse, the property, it all possesses a unique intrinsic charm that you just can’t find anywhere else. We were buzzing with happiness all weekend; it was the most magical and enchanted time of our lives. The venue is elegant and intimate, truly everything you could ask for and more. We are so beyond grateful.
In addition, Kate and Huck are the most wonderful, hospitable and helpful individuals. Their organization, attention to detail, and endless support act as built in wedding planners the day of and leading up! Not only were they sweet and respectful, but they made sure that everything was done, in place, and moving smoothly the entire day so that we could be present and enjoy ourselves in the moment. Their love for each other, and what they do is palpable. When you have a wedding at Handsome Hollow, you truly feel like family. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how our wedding was “the most magical venue they’ve ever been to.” All credit to Kate and Huck!
Our day was 10 years in the making, therefore you have no idea how much it meant for a decades worth of dreams to come true. So if you’re looking for the perfect place to unify with the love of your life, you’ve found it!

I knew I wanted to get married at Handsome Hollow for about 2 years before I was even engaged. I had seen a post somewhere on instagram about it and just knew it was my venue. Once my fiancé proposed, we scheduled a walkthrough of HH pretty quickly along with one other venue in the area. There was no contest. From the moment we got there, Kate was confident, knowledgeable, and comforting. She showed us around the entire property and answered every question we had with thought and care.

Once we secured our date, Kate sent a list of recommended vendors which was extremely helpful. All had great things to say about HH as well and were excited to work another wedding there.

For the 2 years leading up to our wedding (9/24/22), Kate and Huck were incredibly responsive. They had a way of making us feel prioritized even though they were working with 30+ different couples all at the same time.

Our wedding day truly couldn't have been more perfect. Kate was so comforting and provided a really lovely stress free vibe. The grounds were groomed to perfection and everything went off without a hitch thanks to Kate's recommended vendors and the Handsome Hollow team.

I cant say enough about our weekend at Handsome Hollow, I want to relive it over and over again! I hope I get to be a guest at a wedding there one day so I can experience it from the other side! Thank you Kate and Huck for the best day of our life!

I honestly can't imagine having a better venue for our wedding. Handsome Hollow is a special, special place and is the perfect canvas for painting the memories which will fill your dreams for a life time. I want to start by saying that Kate and Huck are just amazing people with a perfect sense of professionalism, style, taste and love. They know what their couples are looking for as if it were a sixth sense. They were there with us every step of the way and it was not always easy considering that we live in Europe. But from the moment we found Handsome Hollow to the moment we left, filled with love the day after our wedding, Huck and Kate provided a guiding and experienced hand. Everyone that attended our wedding RAVED about how it was one of the most unique, special and magical locations they'd ever celebrated at. Many of our guests specifically noted that they had been to hundreds of weddings in their lives and Handsome Hollow was an easy pick for top 5 venue they'd ever been to. Perhaps most importantly, the vendors all loved working at Handsome Hollow which is absolutely crucial when hosting an elaborate event like a wedding. We would recommend having our wedding at this photogenic, warm, love soaked barn in the Catskills with all of our heart. Please don't think twice, you won't regret it.

We were married at Handsome Hollow in July 2022. They were the first vendor we booked 2 weeks into being engaged, and it was truly the foundation for the rest of our wedding vision. HH is not just another barn venue - it's tucked away into it's own quiet nook of land & immediately upon entering the grounds, the rest of the world fades away. The setting gives you the opportunity to truly focus on the emotions of your wedding and memories you're creating with all of your loved ones. It's also incredibly versatile with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces that can be utilized to set the tone of your event & allow you to really get full use of their expansive land - almost all of which you have full access to. The farmhouse, barn, and fern forest are each so romantic & magical in their own individual ways.

Kate, Huck, and their staff were great to work with! Kate is very detail-oriented, and when your wedding weekend begins, she & staff are available to you & completely focused on your unique event. She keeps things very organized and helps to buffer any stress/communications with other vendors the day of, while still being collaborative so that things unfold the way you, the couple, imagine.

Logistically having an event at HH does take a bit more coordination. The location is remote, so transportation & accommodations for guests need to be planned in advance & with care, and communications with your guests should be frequent & clear. These are things that Kate is very open about up front, and she is knowledgeable & helpful in terms of helping navigate these challenges (suggested vendors, timeline suggestions, etc.). Ultimately that is Handsome Hollow's greatest asset - Kate, her expertise & her forthcoming POV about what to expect & how to uniquely approach event planning there. We loved our experience with Handsome Hollow & highly recommend it to others!

When visiting the venue (covered in snow) in March 2021, we immediately knew that this was the place where we wanted to celebrate with our family and friends. As outdoorsy people, we love how the venue is nestled in nature (no other property or road in sight) and features both a vibrant fern forest and rolling mountains. We also adored the charm and high-end details of the barn–the romantic string lights, the large rolling doors on each side of the barn which allow guests to enjoy the outdoor setting while inside (in comparison to the stereotypical dark barn), the details on the bathroom floors, and more. In short, the perfect setting for a summer wedding in the Catskills.



Initially, some of our guests questioned why we’d get married in such a remote place, but even our most skeptical guests instantly fell in love with the venue and thought the trip was more than worth it. Lots of guests told us that our wedding was a true fairytale and encapsulated who we are as a couple. Besides the serene surroundings, we also loved the variety of sites at the same location. Guests were welcomed with a drink at the ruins, we then got married in the stunning forrest (people were raving about the natural light beaming through the trees and birds singing), we enjoyed cocktails and life music on the romantic patio, dinner and dancing in the barn, snuck in a s’more at the majestic bonfire, and took some late-night photos underneath the outdoor string lights at night.



While we were not in close contact with Kate during the wedding preparations (although she did answer every question promptly), her eye for detail and attention to us and our guests on the day of the wedding did not go unnoticed. We organized the wedding ourselves, but worked with a wedding coordinator on the day of the event so we could fully enjoy our day. We highly recommend collaborating with Every Little Detail (coordinator) and Main Course (caterer) as they frequently work together with Kate and are perfectly attuned to ensure that all details are in order and guests can enjoy the best experience.



If you’re dreaming of an outdoorsy whimsical wedding, we highly recommend Handsome Hollow. That said, here are a few considerations to keep in mind as you start planning:

(1) A big part of the magic of Handsome Hollow is that it’s nestled in nature but the remote location also implies that you’ll have a smaller set of vendors to choose from and higher delivery or travel costs.
(2) There are few hotels in the area that allow larger room blocks. Villa Roma has very poor ratings and boutique hotels don’t allow you to block multiple rooms far in advance. Most of our guests opted for AirBnBs, which made it hard to organize buses.
(3) There are no Ubers/Lyfts in the area and very limited taxi services. Further, if you want to extend the party after 12pm, you’ll be obliged to organize buses or taxis (even if your guests are scattered across the area).
(4) The preferred vendor list we received could benefit from some updates as multiple businesses were no longer in business or no longer want to travel to Handsome Hollow.
(5) Make sure to remind your guests to take a shawl or jacket for the night, even on warm summer days.

Handsome Hollow was the first & only venue we looked at and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! The venue is beautiful, we got married end of April when things were still starting to bloom and it was still breathtaking. Kate & Huck were there every step of the way - from picking our vendors to helping to coordinate the day of, and every little question in between (not to mention helping us postpone our wedding due to covid!). Kate provided me with a list of all different vendors in the area that she has worked with and it was a lifesaver!!! It saved me so much stress, not only did all of my vendors know Kate & Huck but they also knew each other & it made my life so much easier! It really made the whole weekend come together perfectly. I also love that you get to stay the weekend in the farmhouse, it was a little getaway and the perfect place to spend our wedding weekend. Nothing better than walking a few steps to bed after a long day of celebrating!! We had our welcome dinner/drinks, reception and farewell brunch all in the barn and the team at HH had it set up differently everyday to change things up which was a really cute touch. Thank you Kate & Huck (and all of the amazing staff at HH!) for making our wedding weekend everything we had dreamed of!

I think the photos speak for themselves but Handsome Hollow is truly a magical place. Our guests cannot stop talking about how breathtaking our wedding was. Kate and team are so professional and responsive, and you know instantly that you are in good hands! Kate gets things done and will make sure that you do not have to worry on your day about a thing. Handsome Hollow will always have a special place in my heart and I hope to return for someone else’s wedding! Do yourself the favor and choose HH as your venue, you will not regret it.

Handsome Hollow is a dream, I wanted a fairytale wedding and that is what I got! The grounds are beyond beautiful, but the entire experience from day one is what makes it truly special. Kate is friendly, personable and extremely professional. She makes all of her hard work look effortless, and makes sure you are at ease at all times. She will think of the details you won’t, and make sure your day or weekend is as close to perfect as possible. Her staff is sweet and always available, timely and just a pleasure to be around! The house and the barn are impeccable, elegant and timeless. This is what sets them apart from any other “venue”. There are so many options to make your day unique! You don’t just get a magical wedding day when you book, you get a fairytale that lasts the entire weekend and memory that lasts forever.

There are many wedding venues in the Catskills and many barns but nothing as special, beautiful and romantic as Handsome Hollow - and nowhere that will provide the service and level of professionalism that Kate and Huck have (that you will want and need on your wedding day). The location is even more magical than the pictures, and Kate and Huck do an outstanding job running both the venue and your ceremony/event. We didn't have a planner, but they were extremely responsive and helpful answering my many, many questions, plus provided an extensive list of recommended vendors covering every base that made planning our wedding here extremely stress-free. They truly cared about me and my husband and making our wedding day feel like it was the only one in the world. Kate kept me calm and sane throughout the process, even when we moved our wedding twice and even when I had two small freakout before walking down the aisle. The price was higher than I initially budgeted for a venue, but I felt it was an amazing value considering how much is included that you may not initially think about, like farm tables, chairs, a ceremony location, the bar, heaters, a bonfire, an entire prop room filled with decor you can borrow (to save you a lot on purchasing small decor you will never use again), two nights at her stunning farmhouse that felt like a luxury hotel... plus, the ability to turn to Kate with any question or concern (about the venue or your wedding in general) that is truly priceless. I would get married here every day if I could. Thank you Kate and Huck for giving me and my husband the wedding of our dreams.

Choosing a wedding venue can be a daunting process but for my husband and I it was an obvious decision. Handsome Hollow is such a truly beautiful and magical place! The barn is so elegant with its timber framing and natural grey tone and the patio was absolutely perfect for cocktail hour! The farmhouse provided us with so much comfort, it was amazing to be able to stay right on site. The wrap around porch was a haven for us the next day to soak in the whole experience! The property is honestly breathtaking, I couldn’t have imagined it better! Kate and Huck were incredibly helpful, from the planning process to the day unfolding their organization and experience truly made the day what it was! Thank you so much!! If you're reading this, comparing the NY barn venues just like I did, do not hesitate, just book the appointment to meet Kate. Handsome Hollow was the first venue we visited and we literally cancelled every other appointment on the drive home. No exaggerating, it's that amazing, and you just know meeting her Kate is a master of weddings. We just had our wedding 6/19/21 weekend and it was everything we had dreamed and more!
The beauty and charm of the space is undeniably magnetic - the ceremony site in the fern forest, the speckled light coming in through the barn walls, the ruins, the lights, the farmhouse - every detail is immaculate and our guests were in awe the entire night.
Having the farmhouse for the entire weekend was such an oasis for us both, to be alone at night looking out over the fields leading to the barn made the whole experience extra special. Also definitely recommend booking the entire Handsome Archive rental package, the mismatched tableware Kate has collected is to die for.
Beyond the obvious value of the venue, the real hidden gems here are Kate & Huck, the masters behind the scenes, the night would not have been remotely smooth if not for the both of them. Kate was with us through all of our prep questions, just a phone call away, let us have our run of the barn while we set up decorations, and helped us navigate a rainy afternoon effortlessly.
Couldn't more highly recommend Handsome Hollow. Yes, of the upstate NY barn venues it's the high end of the spectrum but one visit will tell you why. Wish we could throw the wedding all over again!

Handsome Hollow is absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I found HH after searching for a venue that was organic and nestled into nature. There 2 outdoor ceremony sites are just amazing in the middle of the fern Forrest or out in the meadow the views are just jaw dropping. Kate & Huck are amazing and available to answer questions or assist you on your journey as you plan for your big day. The day/weekend of, they are there with you and have a team ready to make your dreams come true. I have always had this vision of getting married out doors in the trees, but when Mother Nature had a different plan Kate and our other vendors turned the reception barn into a DREAM. So no worries brides even the “plan b” here is a A+ plan! Our guests would not stop raving about the venue, so unique, so so beautiful. I highly highly recommend Handsome Hollow, if we did it over it would be Handsome Hollow every time.

After being engaged to my best friend the journey to find the place we would get married began. We wanted something different from a ball room wedding, somewhere that was beautiful and peaceful all on its on. I came across Handsome Hollow on a IG post and got lost in the unreal photos. After spending hours researching this beautiful place we set a time to meet Kate. From the moment we stepped on Handsome Hollow's property we were enchanted by this magical place. Everything from the Farmhouse, Barn and to the site we would have the ceremony was everything we could ever dream of. Kate and Huck have done something special there and you can feel it the moment you arrive. As the planning picked up and only 8 months to go, a pandemic put a huge dent into our plans. Kate and Huck were there for us every step of the way. With their help we deicide to go forward with our October 2020 wedding and it was the best thing we could have ever done! Our wedding went from 175 guest to 50 and even though we did not have as many people, Kate and Huck made sure that we felt the love. The Handsome Hollow team rose to the occasion when it came to making sure all our guest and their staff were safe. While working their way though this "new normal" they were able to still make our day a dream come true. Handsome Hollow forever has a special place in our heart, as I am sure all the other couples before us can agree on. Kate and Huck know what they are doing and we will forever will be thankful for them. 2020 has had a lot of darkness and we are just so grateful that they gave us a whole lot of light!

The decision and re-decision to cancel/postpone/continue with our wedding was as present in our daily lives as blinking. Thankfully we re-decided, over and over again, to keep our date, keep calm, and carry on.
Our wedding had to be smaller than was originally intended, as per NYS rules. We were capped at 50, which turned out to be the perfect number. Our family was there. And our close friends were there.

Something else to note:
Kate and Huck at handsome hollow know what they are doing. They knew what they were doing before the pandemic, and they still know what they are doing now.
They made all the appropriate accommodations for the bride, groom, and guests that one would expect a great venue to provide; seamlessly integrating new health and safety protocols.
It’s completely natural for you to be nervous about planning and executing your wedding. Perhaps the best part about handsome hollow is that every interaction with Kate and Huck comes with a wave of anxiety relief compliments of the hosts’ preparedness and organization. In dealing with these people it becomes obvious, really quickly, that you can trust them and your ability to relax on your wedding day.
If you’ve seen it, you know the place is beautiful. Turns out: it’s even more beautiful when it is your guests sitting down at your wedding.
Look: COVID-19 changed the world. People are still in love. Your wedding is going to be a little different. But it’s also going to be amazing. When we first toured handsome hollow, we knew that was the setting of our wedding. The world changed a little before our big day, but we still got our perfect wedding.

Handsome Hollow was the first venue we looked at and after seeing another venue the same day, we quickly hoped on the phone that afternoon and booked Handsome Hollow.

From the moment you step on the property it's obvious that it's breathtaking. The farmhouse and barn are elegant, yet what we loved about it so much was you feel like you're at home. (Brides, I'm not kidding you when I say this farmhouse is unreal. You are going to want to get your picture taken in every room in this house. Every inch is a perfect photo.) We had our ceremony in the back wooded area and it was an absolute dream. If you chose Handsome Hollow, I would highly recommend you use as much of the property as you can. It is just too beautiful not to.

Aside from the property itself, I could not say enough positive things about Kate, Huck and their entire staff. When I say as a bride I did not stress about one thing related to the venue or how things would run that day, I really mean it. Kate has it all under control and it was a huge relief. Working with the Handsome Hollow staff took so much stress out of the planning and the day. Working with vendors that we connected with were really important to us and Kate and Huck are two of the worlds most lovely individuals. It was an absolute pleasure working with them and I could not imagine getting married any place else. If you choose Handsome Hollow for your venue, please invite me to your wedding so I can go back :)

Mike and I are still on a high from our epic wedding weekend at Handsome Hollow. The venue and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking and we knew from the moment we saw it that we had to get married there. We decided to have our ceremony in the back woods area and so many people told us that it was the most magical and stunning ceremony they had ever seen. We had peak foliage that weekend so we had a pretty sublime backdrop with leaves cascading around us. The barn itself is a showstopper. Once the doors opened up for dinner and dancing everyone was in awe. Kate and Huck were so professional and on top of their game. They were always so helpful and communicative with us up until the day and went above and beyond for us the day of the wedding. I love how hands on they are and I always felt like I was taken care of because they make the whole day as stress free as can be so you and your loved ones can just enjoy. I can't thank Kate, Huck and their amazing staff enough. Everything was run so seamlessly I wondered how it was getting all done! Being able to stay onsite was one of my favorite things because I could easily stay on top of what needed to be done and get a head start on our personal decor. The farmhouse that is included is not only a dream home that I wish I could live in forever but it is stocked with anything you may need. Kate and Huck have really thought of everything. Get married at Handsome Hollow if you want the most Magical, Memorable and Beautiful wedding of your dreams.

Not only is Handsome Hollow the most beautiful venue, but it's run by two of the kindest people. After meeting Kate and Huck we knew we didn't want to get married anywhere else. They made us feel completely at ease from the very beginning. They were so helpful, so kind and so on top of everything I never felt stressed.
