  Unique, Creative and Professional

  Hannah is INCREDIBLE! We originally hired her last year for our engagement session and we were in love with those photos.
  
  We had initially planned to have a destination wedding in New Orleans, so we chose to go with a local photographer instead for the big day. Then COVID-19 happened. All of our plans were up in the air! We knew that we had to have something much smaller and local to New York. In all of this confusion, we turned to Hannah -- our trusted and favorite NY area photographer. She was so so so helpful and provided us with vendor ideas and other planning tools. Thanks to her input, we ended up planning a last-minute microwedding upstate in July and it was absolutely beautiful. We are both super grateful that we were able to have Hannah capture this weekend for us. It ended up being a silver lining in all of the plan changes and postponements.
  
  Hannah trekked through the woods and fields of wildflowers to showcase the best parts of our day. She is so kind, charming, and talented at what she does. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a relaxed, yet professional photographer for their special event. Thanks, Hannah!

  Hannah is incredible

  Hannah is an incredible photographer and we cannot emphasize enough how much we recommend her and how we feel beyond grateful to have found her for our wedding (and engagement photos, which were also amazing!). She is so talented, makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and has an unbelievable natural eye for capturing both formal and candid moments in such a beautiful, authentic, unique way. Looking through our wedding photos has been such a joy and they feel completely like "us" - it is like reliving all the emotions and beauty of that day. Hannah is also extremely communicative and organized - she made a stressful wedding planning (and re-planning due to Covid) process so much easier for us. She is a true artist and perfect professional and we truly cannot thank her enough or have asked for anything more.

  Talented, Thoughtful and Organized!

  Hannah was the PERFECT photographer for our wedding. We originally planned on getting married in 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic. Throughout the entire process, Hannah was an amazing resource and incredibly helpful. She helped us navigate the entire process with ease.
  
  We ended up doing a micro wedding with family in Vermont and feel so lucky that we had Hannah there to capture the entire weekend. Leading up to the wedding, she was extremely organized and provided great advice in what she had seen work best with previous weddings. During the weekend, Hannah made my husband and I feel so comfortable and captured the most breathtaking photos. Hannah was critical in creating the weekend of our dreams. I don't know what we would have done without her!

  Great experience

  We originally hired Hannah to document our wedding which had to be postponed - she was super flexible and understanding about the postponement. In the interim, we decided to elope and she was able to capture it for us! Hannah was so friendly, communicative, and flexible, and even trooped through the pouring rain with her equipment to capture our outdoor ceremony. She made us feel at ease during our portrait session and had tricks to make us smile and laugh naturally. She delivered the final photos in a timely manner (at the end of a very stressful election week no less!) We loved how beautiful and natural the photos came out - we found them perfectly cinematic yet unfussy. Thank you Hannah, we can't wait to work with you again next year!

  Your collaborative partner, organized professional and visionary behind the lens

  I’ve been a long-time admirer of Hannah’s work for years. When I had finally gotten engaged, it was undoubtedly a necessary requirement to have her document our nuptials. We hired her for our two part experience. She flew across the country to document our City Hall experience at San Francisco City Hall this past April and will be documenting our wedding in upstate New York.
  
  She is your collaborative partner in helping you make difficult decisions, an organized professional who keeps you informed and a visionary behind the lens. I barely remember the moment I said “I do”, but I am so grateful that I have Hannah’s photos to remind me of how I felt. The photojournalistic approach to her work has staying power. They are timeless.
  
  She is the only vendor in my wedding planning journey who responds in a timely manner - which is a valuable trait if you are seeking a photographer to hire. I can’t wait to work with her again in September and fully intend to work with her beyond the wedding for all of our significant life moments.

  Great experience!

  Hannah is a great photographer! I'm so glad I chose her, I couldn't be happier. Her true professionalism, talent, and willingness to accommodate her client's needs is rare to find! The photos came out truly amazing. Her style is consistent and she makes sure that she brings out the best result. We received way more photos than expected and ALL of them were so beautiful...and I'm a tough judge! Overall, the experience was great. I'd definitely like to work with her again in the future.

  Hannah Jan is everything you could want in a photographer.

  From the beginning, Hannah made the process easy and clear. She asked a lot of critical questions, we had several phone conversations, and she got to know exactly what we wanted from our wedding day photography.
  
  That meant that when she showed up on the day of the wedding, everything went along on schedule with ease. Hannah knew when and how to take control of the situation to make things like groomsmen group photos and a picture of all 110 people at the wedding happen! But during the ceremony and reception she was extremely subtle while still managing to capture every key moment.
  
  It is nearly impossible to believe that Hannah captured such stunning portraits and perfect moments in the brief time of our wedding day. We are so delighted that the gallery of photos she put together truly conjure the feelings and emotions of one of the best nights of our lives.

Hannah did such a great job of blending seamlessly into our elopement. She provides a perfect combination of guidance but also knows when to step back and let it all unfold. She’s fun, easy-going, insightful, extraordinarily talented and put us both at ease in front of the camera. Not to mention, all of our friends are super jealous of our very cool rooftop elopement photos :)

  When we were planning our wedding we were looking for something intimate, something special, something that met with our standards. For us, a wedding is the joining of two families. It was a celebration of our two families coming to celebrate our decision to marry. It was easy for us after finding Hannah. She understood, she listened, and she took AMAZING photos! During our engagement session we talked about how we met, she walked us through some fantastic places with amazing images, and from then we knew we found the right person. So when it came to the actual wedding ceremony we knew that every special moment was going to be captured by someone who understood what we wanted and knew how to get the right shot. It was amazing to feel so comfortable with someone after such a short period of time. She was able to capture the moments that mattered to us and even captured ones that matter now looking back. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and working with Hannah and the fantastic moments she captured, made it all the more special for us. We could not have found a better photographer than her!
