  Delicious food for our wedding

  We hired Harrison’s to cater our wedding at General Potter Farm and we are so happy we did! Everyone told us how much they loved our food! We appreciated working with Natalie and how flexible she was to help us create just the menu we wanted. We were able to customize our menu down to the proportions of each type of appetizer (we decided we wanted some sautéed mushrooms, but fewer of those than our other two appetizers which were bruschetta and beer cheese pretzels). Harrison’s was able to offer us a great mix of comfort food and creative dishes, which our guests thoroughly enjoyed. We heard great things about both the Mac and cheese and the “zingy” coleslaw salad! We were grateful for a nice variety of options to serve our guests with dietary needs and even just differing preferences. We were very pleased with both the appetizers and buffet options. Everything looked & tasted great! Prices were reasonable. We also liked being able to hire our bartenders through Harrison’s as well. The day of the wedding everything went smoothly and the food was all displayed nicely where we had indicated. Harrisons staff brought my groom and I plates of food to our table and even drinks from the bar. Our guests said the bartenders were very nice and helpful. We so appreciated Harrison’s staff packing up the extras in labeled containers and storing them in the refrigerator for us. They were willing to cut our cake from a different vendor and even boxed up the extras for us as well. We sent home some of our yummy leftovers with a few very happy groomsmen!

  We hired Harrison's to cater our wedding at Harmony Forge Inn. Natalie was easy to communicate with and professional throughout the whole planning process. She was flexible with her schedule and willing to communicate with other vendors to make sure we had a great experience. The staff from Harrison's did a great job on our wedding day. They gave me and my husband a plate of appetizers during the cocktail hour while we took pictures, brought our dinner plates to our table for us, and boxed up all of the leftover food for us to take home at the end of the night. We were very happy with our choice to hire Harrison's!

  I had my wedding here and had a great experience. Natalie was very helpful and accommodating in helping us to organize everything, and very prompt with responses throughout the whole process. The venue itself is beautiful, with the windows and views doing most of the decorating work. The food was delicious as well (especially the mango salsa!). I would highly recommend holding an event here.

  We had to arrange a wedding in just 2 weeks due to a military deployment. Harrison's staff was very helpful, namely Natalie and Susan. As was Nancy from Hilton Garden Inn. Excellent food and service and great atmosphere, all done in a very short time frame. Sincere thanks to all! It could not have gone better.

  By far the best caterer in town! State College brides...be aware, this is the only caterer we spoke with that would box our leftovers from the buffet, everyone else would've thrown them away! The catering staff at Harrison's is full of professional individuals. Natalie you were awesome during our entire planning process! You helped us with menu suggestions and catering to our gluten-free and vegetarian guests. On the day of, the entire staff was on point with everything! The food was delicious! They brought my husband and I a plate of food before the buffet line opened and they even got us drinks from our bar! It was the only time we sat down the entire evening and it was a great addition to be waited on! We highly recommend Harrison's for all of your catering needs, big or small!

  Harrison's food was SO good. We had numerous guests tell us they loved everything they ate. A few people even said they don't like salmon, but they liked this salmon. The staff was professional and helpful and the setup was great. Can't say enough good things.

  Harrison's Catering was great. My only qualm, and this is such a tiny tiny thing, was that they did not choose the wines we selected for the happy hour. They were only supposed to put out certain bottles and everything was put out, but it wasn't a problem and it was a tiny thing. The other thing I would always suggest a catering company to do is make a plate of apps for the bride and groom, that also was not done. That being said the food was delicious, and service good. They provided a very basic buffet for us and catered our menu to fall tastes. Apple braised beef, butternut squash pasta, grilled veggies, a harvest salad, and bread baskets. They cut our cakes for us as well !

  Harrison's showed up on our radar as the top rated caterer in State College, and they demonstrated why. The food was fabulous, our guests made sure to let us know how great the options were. Harrison's was also tremendous in the planning process; they walked us through our choices and were a huge help the week of. They allowed us to drop off large quantities of water, alcohol and other supplies so that we needn't worry about them. When weather forced them to put away all of the place settings minutes before the wedding, they were impressive in how quickly they got everything reset up beautifully and quickly. We are grateful for Harrison's in how flexible they were and most of all, how great the food was.

  Overall, Harrison's was very accommodating for us. We had some last minute major changes and they worked very hard to straighten out everything and make our day run smoothly. We worked with Marissa and she was incredible to work with. We were surprised with how expensive drinks were and thought things were a bit overpriced, but overall they were helpful and worked well for our wedding.

We and our guests were very pleased with the quality of the food, though not with the service we got. It was very difficult to get in touch with our contact person at Harrison's, and the caterer-in-charge during our wedding was inexperienced, as was the serving staff. There was not enough ice nor enough food, even though we overestimated our guest count by a significant amount. The last few guests to go to the buffet table did not get enough food, and that was very embarrassing. I would still recommend Harrison's to a friend, but would make sure to wildly overestimate the guest count.

  The food was delicious (I didn't expect guests to rave about mac and cheese on our picnic-style buffet!) and event service was stellar. The planning and responsiveness, however, was frustrating at times. Despite working out details 8 months prior to the event (and confirming during an on-site visit), changes to the layout/setup (which required changes to rental items/equipment) were made less than 2 weeks prior to the event date. Do not recommend for those that are planning a wedding long distance, but the food is high quality.
