Elaine is AMAZING! Honestly (not to be cheesy), her pictures are truly worth 1000 words. She was so easy to work with and did such a great job capturing our special day. She was very efficient as well, which was great because we were able to maximize our time with our guests instead of spending hours taking pictures. i seriously can't recommend her enough!

LIGHTNING SPEED! I would like to point out that I got married on June 4th and by June 18th I had over my 1,000 final edited photos from my wedding, all immediately ready for download for no watermark. If that does not make you want to book Elaine immediately, you are out of your mind. Anyway, Elaine is a hoot. She makes people feel comfortable and gives just enough direction that you are not floundering out there, but is also not contorting you into these unnatural poses. She is also very good at giving you the types of images you want (from your pinterest board for example) while still getting great candid shots. The photos are stunning and she is very easy to work with, not to mention her prices are way more competitive than other places. She was always punctual (early even) and always stayed an extra 15-30 minutes without charging us, which is not something to take for granted in the wedding world. She was very organized and started to lay out a very detailed schedule with me several months in advance to make sure she was able to capture everything we wanted and even did a recon of the venue before the date. She is a professional and a really sweet person to boot. Her assistant was able to manage 4 grown (often confused) men with ease and take stunning photos of my husband. Like most brides, I had phone screened several photographers before coming across Elaine. As soon as I got off the phone I told my now husband, “I finally found our photographer!” One less vendor for me to search for and stress over, so naturally he was happy. My husband has a very crazy work schedule and she was able to work with his limited free hours to take our engagement pictures. She made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. And if your fiancé doesn’t like modeling for the camera, do not worry one bit, she doesn’t make him pose and my husband actually enjoyed our engagement session!

During the time between engagement and wedding photos Elaine was incredibly responsive and so timely with her editing. Not to mention her work is beautiful.

On our wedding day Elaine felt like a member of the family. She went with the flow and again, she was so relaxed which made me relaxed. It rained, snowed and the wind was fierce and cold (in the Spring time!) I started to get frustrated with the weather and she helped get me through the day by taking great pictures where we could. She is a true professional who can make the best of your venue when it’s not ideal to go outside. Looking back on my wedding day I will remember Elaine as my amazing photographer who was a part of my big day.

We are going to hire Elaine in the future to document our family and I strongly encourage you to consider hiring her for your wedding day!

I can't even begin to express how much I loved working with Elaine Studley! This was our second wedding so we wanted all fun and no drama or fuss. Elaine has a warm and calm personality that we really connected with (and reassured those last-minute jitters). She and her 2nd photographer (Becky) were always there when we needed them - super easy family portraits and lots of fun candid shots - I can't wait to see the photos!

Elaine did a fabulous job photographing our wedding! We chose Elaine because of her extensive experience and gorgeous photos, and we could not be happier with our choice. She was easy to work with and our engagement photo shoot was a breeze. The day of our wedding she was friendly and professional, easily switching between posed and candid photos and dealing with shooting in multiple locations. She had a second photographer with her the whole time to make sure there were many photo options. The photos were BEAUTIFUL, and she got them to us by the time we got back from our honeymoon. We could not be happier with Hay Mckenna Photography. Elaine did a work of art quality photographs for our wedding. In ever picture she captured the moment and energy. I don't think she missed a thing! We also had our engagement session with her and pictures were stunning.

I never write reviews, but I think that Elaine deserves a fantastic review. She photographed our wedding last weekend and we could not believe the time that she took with us in planning for this huge event. She spoke to us and emailed us whenever we had any questions, and she did it quickly. Her and I spoke regularly and she not only was very professional, but also she was very personable. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her. At the wedding she had so many great ideas but did not force any of them on us. She came early and stayed late even though she was not required to. She knew we wanted fun an out of the box photos and we got them. She got many other shots as well and we can't wait to see all of them. I highly highly highly recommend Elaine and her whole team.

Elaine and Hay McKenna Photography are amazing!! Not only is Elaine an absolute dream to work with her pictures are just stunning! Elaine is very laid back and makes you feel so comfortable. She photographed my engagement pictures and wedding. She captured so many amazing moments at our wedding and was extremely knowledgeable about my venue (Stone Manor) and knew where all of the great photo spots were. I would give Hay McKenna 6 out of 5 stars if possible.

I just love all my photos from Hay Mckenna Photography! Elaine did an amazing job capturing the day!! She was quick to get them back to us too. The price was great as well for 2 photographers for the whole day. I am in love with so many pictures that I am not sure how I will decide. I am never photogenic! But you wouldn't know from the photographs she took. I would highly recommend hiring them!

Elaine Studley is a talented photographer with creative artistry, humor, patience, and heart. As mother of the groom, I worked closely with Elaine on an outdoor, post-wedding photo session, including preparation and follow-up, since the bride and groom reside overseas. I found that one of Elaine's most praiseworthy attributes is her consistent willingness to overcome obstacles and to find a "fix" if challenges arise. Let's be real: even in "fairy-tale" weddings, stuff happens. When our family encountered problems and things did not work out as planned, Elaine not only rose to the challenge, she went the extra mile. Elaine, you are phenomenal! Hay McKenna was so flexible when it came to working with our budget and scheduling (we were planning from out of the country) that we were just blown away. It was difficult choosing a photographer without meeting him or her in person, but after speaking with Elaine over the phone it was an easy decision. She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and really went the extra mile to check out the venue ahead of time and accommodate our photography desires.

The photos from our wedding are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! Elaine and her second photographer Jose managed to capture so many wonderful shots and somehow managed to be in the middle of everything without being noticed. Really, they caught the feeling of our wedding perfectly and we will cherish the photos for years to come. Booking Hay McKenna is not a decision you will regret, but if you feel hesitant just give Elaine a call--she really was truly wonderful to talk to and work with. Thank you so much!

Three words - book her now! I found Elaine from the various wedding websites and I am so glad that I did. From the moment my now husband and I met her, we felt an instant connection where she made us feel at ease and very comfortable with how she would capture the event. She did not disappoint. She and her assistant were such a pleasure to be around all day and night. Family and friends commented all evening about how friendly and professional she and Jose were. As promised, she had her favorite photos up in a matter of days and the whole set one week later - amazing! She captured so many great shots and great moments, i am still glowing three weeks later. I am super excited to begin making the album with her. I can't recommend her highly enough. The minute my daughter got engaged I knew I wanted to use Elaine Studley. I have attended several weddings that she photographed and her work was spectacular. She did not disappoint! The pictures she took for us are works of art. Not only is she amazing at her job but she is fun to be around. She kept everyone relaxed and happy from start to finish. The timeline she drew up for us before the wedding was extremely helpful. Everyone involved from the caterer to the band appreciated it. We were speechless when she sent a few hundred of her favorite photographs to us three days after the wedding. The kids had already left on their honeymoon so it really kept the excitement of the wedding going for us to receive them so quickly. The rest of the pictures were sent two weeks later which I still consider to be incredibly fast. Thanks again Elaine for all your hard work and we look forward to working with you many more times in the future.

I can not say enough good things about Elaine! She is phenomenal. Her training is in photojournalism so she captures your whole day in action! She also does beautiful formal portraits. Elaine was easy to work with from the start. She immediately understood what my fiance and I were looking for and was game to go along with our sense of fun.

We did an engagement photo shoot session with Elaine also and I am SO glad we did. Not only was it super fun, but the photos are gorgeous. And we got a great sense of working with her.

Of all our vendors Elaine was by far the most responsive and the most organized. She never left my emails unanswered and knew just how to organize the whole day. We ended up 40 minutes AHEAD of schedule with the pictures before the ceremony!

The one time a small mistake was made Elaine owned up to it immediately and more than made it up to us. I am only even mentioning it because she handled it so professionally.

Check out her blog, her photos speak for themselves. I cannot recommend her more. The photos were so beautiful and of such a range (from gorgeous portraits to hilarious dance floor) I would have paid more!

Elaine photographed my wedding over a year ago and I still gush at my photos every day. She did such a stunning job and her assistants took amazing photos as well. From day one, Elaine was super easy to work with and put my husband at ease. My husband hates to get photographed but he felt super comfortable with Elaine and that was one of the main reasons we booked her, not to mention she has an amazing portfolio. Even to this day people are still complementing my photos and want to know who took them! To top it off she helped me make the most gorgeous photo album. The process was super easy and iterative so she made she the album was exactly what you wanted. I couldn't be happier with her services or my photos! You won't regret booking her!!!!!!!

My daughter and I knew that Elaine Studley would be a great photographer for us from our first meeting. Our instincts were right. Elaine was personable and fun, while also very professional. She wanted to get to know the bride and groom, and she captured the personalities of our families in her approach and her photographs. Everyone who has seen our pictures comments on how happy everyone looks and how much love they see.
Both the formals and the candids are high quality photographs. This is very important, not just because you want great pictures, but because you want your prints and enlargements to be excellent.
She set up a website for us with separate sections for Getting Ready, Details, Loved Ones, the bride and groom, the Ceremony, and the Reception. I love all the photographs but might be most partial to the details, that is, after the bride and groom and family photographs. The reason is that the flower arrangements were a high priority for us, and Elaine and her team captured the beautiful work that our florist did. She also captured all the details that my daughter designed and that she and her husband planned out.
It is also important to note that Elaine worked well with all of our vendors. That is an important factor in having a wedding that goes smoothly and leaves lasting good memories.
We had an unusual time schedule with a ceremony with limited time at the venue on one day and a reception on the next day. Different clothes, jewelry, hair, and flowers for each day too. Elaine worked with us to get all the shots we wanted in the compressed time of the ceremony day and even spent extra time with the wedding party after leaving the venue. She assured us that we could take extra time for formal shots the next day and we did. When Elaine tells you how much time is needed to take your formals, listen to her; she knows what she is talking about. She was also very generous with her time and gave us a price that barely accounted for the two days' worth of time she spent with us.
The ceremony and reception were both held at River Farm, and Elaine and her team took full advantage of the beauty of the venue to capture exquisite shots of the location and the bride and groom.
After the wedding, Elaine told us that she could set up a separate link to our favorites. It was terrifically difficult to narrow the number of pictures that I would share with my family and friends, not only because they are all great, but because the pictures as a whole tell a story. Elaine's forte is photojournalism, and her pictures tell the story of our two days, and who wants to leave out a single moment of that story?
Elaine has also been helpful in retouching photographs and making sure that we have everything that we want.
Elaine, should I tell everyone about the photobooth? Not sure whether you will do it again? I'll write about it anyway. We asked Elaine if she did a photobooth. She didn't, but decided to try it with us. She researched photobooths, experimented with cameras, printers, computers, and back drops, and set up all the connections. We bought the props. She created a photobooth that produced pictures of substantially higher quality and at significantly less cost than you get from the photobooths that you rent. Our guests had a blast and so did Elaine and her assistants.
Elaine Studley earns outstanding reviews and I add mine to the list.

We had an amazing experience with Hay McKenna Photography. Elaine shot our engagement photos and our wedding. The photos turned out beautiful and so natural! She caught the light just right and did a great job at getting the right shots. We had fun and the pictures reminded us of all the fun we had on our big day! We had some trouble deciding on our wedding photographer, but once we talked to Elaine we felt she’s the one! It turned out we made the RIGHT decision! From the time of consultation at her home studio, to engagements shot @ Great Falls, then wedding & reception, she was friendly, efficient, courteous, artistic and professional. She effortlessly guided us to pose for photos and listened to our ideas. Elaine and her assistant Melissa were very spontaneous, they appeared with their cameras (even when it was their time to take a break) whenever there was laughter and commotion, captured a lot of precious moment that we would’ve otherwise missed. We truly feel like they were not just the photographers there, they were part of us. And after wedding we got to see all the AMAZON shots online within days.

All in all it was an awesome experience to work with Elaine, we could not have asked for a better photographer for our big day! Thank you Elaine and Melissa!

After our first visit with Elaine, we knew we had found our photographer. Looking at her previous works in the studio, it was obvious with Elaine; I would be dealing with an experienced and qualified professional. Our engagement pictures were beautiful. Our picture session flew by, even my fiancé who gets stiff when taking pictures enjoyed the session and loved the pictures. We both come from big families, and family portraits were challenging, but with Elaine’s delegation we breezed right through. She was my companion on our wedding day and was very accommodating to our needs, and had helpful advice for my girls and I. I must say, after our Wedding I realize how important it is to have proficient vendor, because a good vendor can make your day smooth sailing and a bad vendor can ruin a beautiful memory.
