Sure, Kevin checks all the boxes of what you want in a great wedding photographer: awesome shots, always at the right place and right time, able to direct a crowd, focused on good lighting, and comes to you with photo opportunities proactively, etc.
What you get from Kevin beyond that is someone who your guests will remember!
Kevin felt like a wedding guest himself, making conversation with our guests, and getting to know them between photos.
We were so delighted that our guests told us they loved getting to know our photographer!
Having a photographer that can mingle and contribute to the vibes of your wedding is something you might not be thinking about now, but makes a difference in how comfortable everyone felt getting their photos taken.
People were sad when Kevin had to leave (he stayed beyond his contract hours, but our wedding ran late in the evening). They were sad because they wanted to have a drink and conversation with him!
If you book Kevin, you'll get a wonderful photographer who knows how to befriend you and your guests. -

Effortlessly easy to work with
Working with Kevin as our photographer was amazing. Then again I might be biased, see I've known him for well over a decade and have loved his wide variety of photography subjects. I've seen this photographer grow over the years, watched him develop his style and his portfolio. Not only is he a friend but he is a professional. On our wedding day he was so helpful, guiding us on beautiful poses, making us feel so comfortable and capturing many amazing moments, photos my mother has said "captured the pure joy in our faces" I am so glad we decided to have Kevin as our photographer and anyone who hires him will end up with the most incredible wedding photos. -

Best Photographer in the area!!
Kevin was a dream to work with and so incredibly talented! He was so flexible when we requested certain shots and multiple locations, often suggesting additional ideas to bring our dream to life. He gave expert advice in the moment for capturing the best lighting and creating natural angles as well as capturing moments I didn't even know happened through candid shots! All of our guests were amazed by his professionalism and commented on how easy he was able to navigate the crowd, how they didn't even know a picture was being taken, and how down-to-earth he was and easy to engage in conversation. Book Kevin for your Richmond wedding!!! -

My venue was new for Kevin, so he showed up early to scope out the place. It rained, so we ended up changing locations, which he was very flexible with. Honestly, other than him being a part of that conversation, I never noticed him again until the end of the night, which is what you want from a photographer.
Kevin was definitely faster at getting photos to us than most of the photographers I communicated. They are great! My husband doesn't love having his picture taken but is photogenic when he wants to be or you drag it out of him. I'm delighted to have some great candids as well as some posed pictures of us where he looks relaxed. There are also fun dancing photos. -

I absolutely loved working with Kevin and his team to capture beautiful moments from my wedding day. I sent all of my inspo pics and videos directly to the team. They happily scheduled meetings/ calls with us; and together we were able to bring my fairytale vision to life. The professionalism and quality was far beyond what we could have asked for. A first class service and experience for sure.
My only regret is not hiring them for a longer period of time lol. Would highly recommend, so worth it! -

Kevin is simply amazing. From the first day I contacted him I was blown away by his responsiveness, professionalism and flexibility. After a first wedding was COVID cancelled I was skeptical about even scheduling another wedding and another set of vendors. Kevin was beyond attentive and reassuring to my fiancé and I about the whole process. We booked engagement photos along with our wedding day photos and have received so many compliments on his work. Day of wedding day he was 100% involved, yet invisible to the guests at the venue. He blended in seamlessly and was constantly on point with all of the shots and requests from me and my family. His level of detail and professionalism was beyond anything I expected. Within 8 hours of my reception being over I received a handful of previews, blown away from that already, days later we received even more photos!!! Because of all of this we will be using Kevin for all of our photo needs, he is truly a wonderful gem, a great friend and an amazing artist. -

Wonderful experience
Kevin was extremely kind and professional throughout our whole wedding process, he captured beautiful engagement photos, and showed up early on the day of the wedding to take photos of every special moment. The pictures were amazing. I'm so glad that we found Kevin! -

Kevin is a gem! He went above and beyond for me and my husband's big day. Not only is Kevin professional and timely, he also has an amazing eye for light and composition. My wedding party included a newborn and a puppy and he was able to capture both of them flawlessly. And I can't forget to mention, he was able to catch me at all of my good angles, which again, was no easy task. Not only were my photos beautiful, but he was able to get all of my photos processed a week after my wedding! Just do yourself a favor and message Head Above Heart Photography. -
