  The ladies at the Heard Craig Hall were wonderful, very polite and flexible, answered all of our questions quickly with all the details we would need. The venue was perfect and when everything was set up it was beautiful, and the best part we got twice as many hours for less then what everyone in the area wanted to charge! Thank you ladies my day was perfect!

  My expectations were exceeded at the the Heard Craig Center! We had our ceremony there and everything was absolutely beautiful. Our day of coordinator, Linda, went above her job expectations to make sure we were on time, well prepared and had everything we needed.

  Overall very great for the price. There was one lady we had difficulty getting to call us back on occasion but I'd recommend them!

  I am so sorry that you experienced a delay with a return call. We try very hard to return calls on the day they are received and certainly no later than 24 hours. Our office is closed on Sunday and Monday so if a message is left late Saturday afternoon it usually won't be returned until Tuesday. I am also very happy to provide my cell phone to a bride upon request.

  We chose to have our rustic wedding in Katie's Garden outside of historic Heard-Craig Hall. Barbara is absolutely amazing! She was so accomodating and helpful throughout the entire process. The other associates....not so much. A month before the wedding I got a threatening email regarding a $100 balance that hadn't been paid. It was absolutely an oversight on my part but I was traveling and let the person know i'd submit a payment through my bank account when i returned to my hotel and they would have it by the following Friday. TWO days later (Saturday/Sunday) she said my contract would be null and void and I would lose my reservation..TWO.
  
  On the day of the event they were very accomodating and Barbara even had her husband rake up some hay we had missed. The two ladies who worked our event felt like security guards watching our every move and were quite rude to my mother at the end during clean up.
  
  The venu is beautiful but I would suggest utilizing a venue that is all inclusive. Paying for linens, plates, cutlery etc can add us and in negated the value we had initially thought we had received.

The negative would be that we didnt see the contract until after we paid the deposit. there were a bunch of details that we should have known upfront before we paid, we had to change around a lot more stuff after reading all the new rules, which ended up costing us more money then if we would have gone somewhere else more expensive, but would have taken care of everything. the place is beautiful and was big enough for the 200 people we had to be sat comfortably, but if you decide to use it, make sure you see a copy of the contract before you pay anything!

  When we meet with prospective Heard-Craig Hall clients we always explain that the 8 hours they are given with their rental includes the time for decorating, the event, clean-up and removal of all of their belongings. We require that all items be removed after an event because our facility is booked daily and it is unfair for our next client to be encumbered by items left by a previous client. This is a policy that is adhered to throughout the industry.
  When the client books our facility we prepare a contract that outlines our requirements/rules for rentals. There is a cover letter that provides bullet points of these rules (those that the bride above is noting) as a reminder. The contract comes with a list of all of our requirements and has a line for the client to sign that states that they have read and understand the requirements. The above bride signed this.
  Referencing the bride’s comments above:
  Two days before her reception she called to say that the rental company she was using would pick up the rental items on Monday morning. The reception was on Saturday so I reminded her that the items would need to leave that evening as outlined in her contract. She and her family were quite upset about this so I broke our own rule and offered to meet her on Sunday morning for the items to be picked up. They used two extra hours on Sunday to remove the items for which I did not charge them and I refunded their security deposit. Therefore, they were not out any additional money for the use of our facility. I understand that weddings can be very stressful for families so we always try to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a wonderful experience for the client. We certainly did go above and beyond for this client.
