    Wedding Day Dreams!

    Hello Darlin' Glam is the best choice to bring your hair & makeup dreams to life! We had 16 people doing hair and makeup for our September wedding and we were having a hard time finding a vendor who could take our large group and was LGBTQ+ friendly. Luckily from the initial conversation with Samantha, our group size was not of concern and we saw other LGBTQ+ couples on the HDG website/social media. In addition, Samantha was excited, detailed, and listened to our needs. We were pleased to hear they had options for the team to come to our venue for getting ready and no hidden fees. The price transparency and options were so refreshing after reviewing so many vendors who charge for parking, mileage, travel with limited distance and upcharge for each additional artist. HDG has is packaged so you know the cost per person. It was easy planning with them; their response time was quick and they include out of office replies so you know if they won't be able to respond for a while due to the demand of business. We had a fun time at our hair/makeup trial and felt extremely comfortable expressing what we wanted, tweaks, etc. We never felt we would offend the artist and ultimately they wanted us to feel 100% on the big day. The wedding day getting ready was seamless. The timeline we prearranged with Jess (Beauty Coordinator) was so helpful so our bridesmaids knew what time each service was and when they needed to go to their artists' chair. Every single one of our bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup and many wished they could of had HDG for their wedding (truly, I am not just saying this!). Samantha did both our bridal makeup and Melissa and Stephanie did our bridal hair and we are still swooning over how we looked. When I tell you not a single hair was out of place and our makeup still looked flawless at the end of the night, that should help solidify HDG for your big day! We are so thankful!

    Excellent!!!

    WOW! The four girls that came to Rollins Mansion to do our hair and make up were absolutely phenomenal. They made each and every one of us feel so pretty, especially me, the bride! I’ve never felt more beautiful. Their communication was great leading up to the wedding and they were right on time the day of! I’d recommend them to anybody!

    Absolutely Amazing

    I cannot say enough good things about the Hello Darlin' Glam team! From start to finish they were such a joy to work with and in no way shape or form did they add any additional stress to an already stressful event! They communicated beautifully, they were on-time, they listened extremely well to what I did and did not want for my hair and makeup, their platforms are super easy to navigate, and more importantly did an AMAZING job on my big day! They literally executed my hair and makeup perfectly and I cannot thank them enough. You will not be disappointed with Hello Darlin' Glam!

    Highly recommend Morgan and Arianna!

    Morgan and Arianna were amazing on my wedding day! We had 8 people for hair and makeup and everyone looked so good!! Morgan did makeup and Arianna did hair. Both were so fun to work with. They were great with staying on time but not rushing and helped keep the morning so relaxed. I love that it was all through one company too to make things easier planning wise on me!

    HIGHLY recommend

    If you are looking for a organized vendor who makes your day stress free then book Hello Darlin Glam. All of their girls are extremely talented. I wanted a second hair trial and they were happy to accommodate. They will not disappoint!

    They are the best!

    The Hello Darlin' Glam team is an incredible choice for your wedding hair and makeup! I did so much research and finally decided on this company as their work is flawless. They were recommended by one of my best friends, whose wedding actually came first and I had never had so many compliments on my makeup as a bridesmaid. When it came to my wedding, they made me feel absolutely beautiful and were such a blast to work with.

    A great experience for all!

    I had Arianna, Bek, Jen, and Morgan for my wedding hair and makeup! I loved that they sent 4 artists for my 9 gals getting hair and makeup done! It made it go by so quickly and everything stayed on time, which is amazing since most weddings get behind from hair and makeup. All of my bridesmaids and the MOB/MOG looked SO GOOD, and I loved my hair and makeup as well! Hello Darlin' was so easy to work with, and Bek was so open to any changes I wanted in makeup and was super helpful answering any questions I had during my trial and on the day of. All of the girls were so pleasant and professional on my wedding day, chatting with my girls the entire time, it was just such a fun atmosphere with everyone getting ready together. I LOVED that they do both hair and makeup, so I didn't have to book a different vendor for each that I would've had to coordinate, it made the process so easy for a super stressed bride, I would definitely recommend Hello Darlin' for your bridal glam needs!!

    Talented stylists for wedding hair/makeup

    I would highly recommend this vendor for wedding day hair styling and makeup. All the stylists were very talented. It was so relaxing having the team come to us at the hotel to get everyone ready!

    Amazing team

    I absolutely loved working with the Hello Darlin' team! It was easy to schedule with them and Samantha was wonderful in setting up a makeup trial. On the day of the wedding, Samantha and her teammate came and made everyone feel comfortable and beautiful, without taking too much time. Samantha does airbrush, which is exactly what I wanted. Fabulous makeup team!

    Professional, Sanitary, & Fun!

    Hello Darlin' Glam is amazing! Sam did my hair and makeup for my wedding this past spring and I am so thankful I went with Hello Darlin' Glam! She was incredibly professional, came prepared and on time, and was incredibly sanitary. She made getting ready so much fun. As a former bride and a wedding vendor, Sam is the best out there!

    Best Makeup in IOWA

    Samantha is seriously the best makeup artist around. I picked Hello Darlin’ Glam because her work is so versatile. She can do beautiful natural looks but what really stuck out was her ability to do glam looks! Most artists I looked at just didn’t have as wide of a portfolio for what I was looking for. She made me look gorgeous for my wedding day. I felt so good about myself. She was so easy to talk to, very prompt in her responses and went above and beyond for my wedding that changed multiple times due to the pandemic. Don’t look any further, this is a sign that you should hire her!

    Simply outstanding

    She is hands down the best makeup artist in town! I don’t ever let people do my makeup and there is no one I trust more than her! She has an amazing spirit and incredible vibes along with insane talent! Her creativity is brilliant! 10/10 would recommend!

    Morgan and Arianna are the best in the game!!

    Hello Darlin' made me look better than I've ever looked in my life and will likely ever look. They saw the vision and executed it perfectly. I live out of state and wasn't able to do a preview so I was nervous how they would do but they are certified professionals! Morgan and Arianna are brilliant artists. I would HIGHLY recommend Hello Darlin' to any brides in the DSM area! The cost is... well the cost is high for brides - but the look? Impeccable. If you want soft glam - definitely worth the $$.

    So thankful for Sam!

    I am SO thankful that I found Samantha and Hello Darlin Glam for my wedding. She did my hair and makeup for both my small first wedding during COVID-19 and for my second larger wedding in July 2021. She had another stylist that helped my bridal party of three. Both of these women were AMAZING. Clearly they have been doing this forever, and we all couldn’t believe how beautiful we felt. Samantha was professional, efficient, a good communicator, down to earth, funny, non-judgmental, knowledgeable, and a good listener. She was worth every penny, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs hair and makeup done for a headshot, engagement pictures, wedding, senior pictures, whatever. She’s amazing!

    Friendly, talented stylists….but!

    Had my hair and makeup done for a trial and on my wedding day. I am particular about certain ways my makeup is done, so on my wedding day- I did part of my own makeup, which was fine! I wanted my hair just down and curled with big, loose curls. My trial hair didn’t turn out quite like that, so on my wedding day I was more specific and showed a couple pics and it still didn’t turn out that way. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to even really look in the mirror and make changes, so I didn’t notice it until I have been looking back at pictures and I don’t like how my hair looks in any of them :/ Both stylist, however, were professional, so nice, and fun! They did my sister, mom’s and MIL’s hair and makeup and all of theirs turned out amazing! So, that being said, maybe take this review with a grain of salt? Maybe I’m too picky? But ultimately what I asked for isn’t quite how it turned out & I’m wishing I had done my own styling.

    Horrible!!!

    After spending close to $1000 for me and my daughter to get our hair and makeup done for my wedding day, I cannot tell you how unbelievably horrible it all turned out. It looked more as if I was being prepped by a mortician for my funeral. The makeup was so caked on and pale (even after we made it very clear at the beginning we wanted no white or paleness added, we wanted a bronze glow). It was so caked on you could see every line and pore, and again it was caked on with white powder. And, when we expressed how we didn’t like it she insisted it looked good (as well as the hair lady), and told us we just need to go look at it outside. After, still being highly dissatisfied, she began to just cake more of this white powder onto our face. We finally told her just to stop because it was just making it worse and worse. She then put almost no mascara on our eyes, and again we had to beg for her to add more eyeliner to my eyes. When again the bare minimum she put on at the beginning was not even visible. After my sister, daughter, and wedding coordinator all expressed how I indeed did look like I belonged in a casket instead of walking down the aisle for my wedding I had to completely wash my face and restart. Our cover girl mascara and bronzer that I applied myself looked beyond one million times better than what she had done to my face. We also had to take the lipstick off because it was so dried out, our lips looked cracked and horrible! We replaced it with Vaseline and again that unfortunately looked better than what the professional makeup person did. Like my sister said, I was unrecognizable, it didn’t even look like me. Unfortunately, the hair was no better. I asked her opinion on some hair ideas (since she is supposed to be the hair expert doing my wedding hair) and all she would say is “I don’t know it’s up to you”. She would give no insight at all. She ended up straightening my hair and adding a few “waves” in my hair. These “waves” looked as if I had had my hair done the night before and slept on it. The bottoms were flipped going in different directions, it was frizzy, and after maybe thirty minutes the “waves” were gone, because she put no hairspray or anything to hold these so called “waves”. The back of my hair was so flat and frizzy, the wedding coordinator actually had her intern stop at her house to get her own straightener and curling iron to help fix the mess this company caused. The bartender there for our wedding is the one who fixed my hair for me. I’m sorry but how qualified can you be as a hair stylist for our bartender to do a better job than yourself? Again, within an hour of the hair person leaving my daughters bobby-pins were falling out. The makeup lady did not even wait for my hair to be done to ensure I didn’t need any touch ups before packing up and leaving. All she left was a Q-tip with dried lip stick on it for “touch ups”. You think she could have stuck around considering the hair lady spent a total of 10-15 minutes max on my hair. Again, for the money, and the special day this was all for it is beyond disappointing. I just think it is embarrassing for this company that they have workers like this tainting their name. Luckily we had an amazing wedding coordinator who fixed all of their companies mistakes.
