  We’ve used Kara for several cakes. They were all delicious and amazing. She puts so much care and detail into the designs she does. My favorite is the banana cake with brown sugar frosting, but the cookie dough filling is also divine. My family never cared for fondant, but we gobble up the Hen & Chicks fondant. We’ve used her for four birthday cakes and also ordered cookies.

  Our experience with Kara was perfect from beginning to end. She listened to our thoughts on design and offered welcome input based on her experience. She was so easy to communicate with and we could see the passion she has for her craft. Her final product delivered in every way. This was one element of the wedding that didn't just meet our expectations (which were admittedly very high in all respects), but exceeded them. The cake was absolutely gorgeous. She made the most amazing flower. When I was talking to a guest when dessert was served, I saw her husband finish up his piece of cake and grab hers with a guilty smile on his face. He was obviously loving it! People raved about how delicious and special it was. I will recommend Kara to anyone who asks and can't wait for another event in whiich we can have her cake again . . . maybe a baby shower? We are so happy that we found her!

  Hen&Chick was so accommodating. Kara took on my rush job and did such an amazing job decorating and was super creative. Will definitely be using her the next time I need a cake or cookies.

  Kara is focused on providing exemplary service and her cake was delicious and visually stunning. She took the time to walk us through and test our myriad choices, worked with us on a personalized design, and timely delivered a stunning wedding cake for which we continue to receive compliments from guests long after the party has ended.

  If you want someone to execute your cake to perfection, then this is the place for you! Not only will it look absolutely amazing, it will taste equally amazing. I have had 2 cakes made by Hen and Chicks Cakes and both experiences have been wonderful.

  I was sold after the first cake tasting, wow what a presentation. The quality in the cake was outstanding! I told her what I wanted and asked for her to put her own special artistic twist on it. I was speechless when I saw the final cake and it was so good. She did our wedding cake and a grooms cake, our guests were so impressed and could not believe the whole cake was edible. Kara is not just a baker she is an artist. You will get personal & friendly service. I would highly recommend her cakes for your wedding. I am waiting to have another party so I can order some of her amazing cookies as well. The detail she puts into her work is just incredible.

  I have used Hen & Chick Cakes not only for my wedding but also for baby showers, wedding showers, bachelorette parties, and birthdays. She is an amazingly talented decorator and puts a lot of time into perfecting the flavors and textures of her cakes. The hand decorated cookies are also amazing; I have found there is no limit to what she can create. During the initial planning and ordering phases, she is a really great and honest collaborator and has let me know when my ideas won't work or if there is a better way to execute my vision. I have never been disappointed by her cakes or cookies and will admit to being brought to tears by a recent Baby Shower cake she made. Highly, highly recommended!

  The cake I ordered for our parents 60th wedding anniversary was not only beautiful, it was delicious! The whole family was pleased with the elegance. I was so impressed that I hired Hen and Chick to make cookies as party favors for orr holiday party. She did not disappoint!

  Absolutely hands down the most gorgeous cakes in the Detroit area. She made a special cake to fit my personality for my bachelorette party as well as a delightful floral cake for my wedding shower. You know your cake will be one of a kind and guests will be wowed .

  Hen and Chick Cakes are not only beautiful and unique; they are also delicious! Kara has created two cakes for us and they were absolutely perfect. Her cakes and cookies have amazing detail and are almost too pretty/cute to eat. Kara is also wonderful to work with and I can't wait to ask her to create more cakes for us in the future. Highly recommended :)

Kara's cakes were by far the most delicious and flavorful compared to all the other places we tried - and we went to 3 or 4 well known and popular bakeries in the Metro Detroit Area. We would highly recommend Kara for any and all entertainment needs! We loved our wedding cake :)

We would highly recommend Kara for any and all entertainment needs! We loved our wedding cake :)
