I can't say enough how absolutely amazing Herrington on the Bay was for us. From the jump we felt so welcome and so lucky. My husband and I never thought two educators would be able to have a wedding like we did here, but it was everything we wanted and more!
We worked with Taresa as our Event Specialist and she was DARLING. We truly felt so understood and so well taken care of. I can't say enough about how she handled my being an anxious bride, but I will say she was always there for a late night email or to be a calming reassuring presence when I needed it.
Lexi was our outstanding Event Coordinator and Katie was our VIP server the day of. They both were so wonderful and did such an amazing job with everything, we felt so grateful to be surrounded by so many kind and hard working people on our big day!
If you are looking for your dream location, this is IT! You seriously will not find anything better, I mean it. You can truly feel the energy of this place the second you arrive there. The town is darling, the food is phenomenal, and the experience of having your dream wedding at Herrington is unmatched!

This place has incredible views with a kickass team. The food is very high quality and delicious, the staff is high execution as well.

It’s pricey, but worth it for brides who are looking for an stress-free day and as a trade off for an event planner. You’ll receive dedicated service and attention to detail with your wedding specialist and day-of coordinator.

Our wedding was an absolute dream!

Although this venue is expensive, they do put on the best wedding I have ever seen or even imagined! They truly make your day go as smoothly as possible and make sure that you're happy no matter what. They charge a lot for everything but it's worth it in the end!

We got married at the HOB yacht club on 10/11/24 and I truly cannot express how amazing everything was! From the beauty of the venue, to the ease of working with the staff, everything absolutely exceeded our expectations. The staff has been helpful and attentive since day 1 and they were amazing on the day of as well. They treated all our guests exceptionally and made sure that we, the bride and groom, had everything we needed at all times. Everyone raved about the food all weekend and truly it was some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had. We love HOB and can’t wait to be back in the future!

My husband and I got married 9/21/24 and we have the absolute best day of our lives!!! The staff at HOTB was extremely pleasant and quick to respond. MAGINE the perfect wedding – you’ve just imagined Herrington on the Bay! The staff, the food, the venue, the setting are truly what dream weddings are made of. For one and a half years we planned our daughter’s wedding, and based on the over 200 texts, emails, phone calls, and letters we received after the event, I’d say, with the help of the incredible staff at Herrington on the Bay, we created a truly magical experience! Our designated personal planner Lexy Buchanan, tirelessly worked with us (sometimes day and night – and that is no exaggeration) to develop a vision that was uniquely our daughter’s. From the beginning she guided us as we explored local vendors. Believe me - no detail was left to chance – the chairs, the table clothes, the tables, the food choices – you name it – together we explored and edited and explored some more… WOW Lexy was worth her weight in gold one hundred times over! As we progressed through the planning process additional staff were introduced to us that would be with us on the day of the wedding – including Amber and Katie. We truly have NEVER experienced so much support and guidance and with so much love and care!! You would truly have thought we were the only family having a wedding that entire weekend! And we weren’t – it was Labor Day weekend, but it did not matter – you would NEVER have known that anyone else mattered except for our daughter! The day of the wedding was just completely out of a fairytale – Lexy, Little Lexy, Amber, and Katie coordinated and organized our event like a finely orchestrated play! The staff were INCREDIBLE! The bartenders, the wait staff, you just cannot even imagine a better organized event! The kindness and caring that each and every staff member extended to us and to all of our guests was A-1 PERFECT! Guests could not believe the number of staff that were at the wedding – at no time was there a line at the bar, a wait for food (WHICH WAS INCREDIBLE and PLENTIFUL!). If you are considering this venue – please look no further – Herrington on the Bay is the perfect venue for your upcoming wedding!

Our wedding at Herrington on the Bay was truly magical and exceeded all our expectations! We were actually set on booking a different venue, but after touring Herrington and meeting the wonderful staff, we fell in love with the space and knew it was right for us. It is an inviting "hidden gem" in North Beach, MD with stunning views. You can really see and feel the care and attention the owners and staff put into the space. We booked the Garden and Yacht Club for our wedding, but honestly you cant go wrong with either of Herrington's venues -- the Yacht Club or Tent -- both are really amazing spaces. The entire team worked so hard to help us make our perfect wedding day happen.

On the day of our wedding, the venue looked absolutely stunning, and the staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. The food provided was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, impressing all of our guests. We were particularly grateful for the team's flexibility in catering to our specific requests, making us feel special and cared for throughout the entire event.

Taresa, Katie, and Megan from Herrington on the Bay were an absolute dream team for our wedding day. Taresa's attention to detail and genuine care for every aspect of the day truly stood out. While there were no major negatives, there were a few neutral aspects worth mentioning. Some areas could have been communicated more clearly, but in the grand scheme of things, these were minor blips that didn't overshadow the impeccable service we received. Overall, working with Taresa, Katie, and Megan was a seamless, stress-free experience that allowed us to fully enjoy our special day. We couldn't have asked for a better team to bring our wedding vision to life. Highly recommend these amazing pros to anyone looking for a top-notch wedding experience at Herrington on the Bay.

Herrington helped plan our dream wedding venue. From the food which we got to completely customize to the bar to the incredible people we got to work with (should out to Lexy and Melissa) it was the perfect day. They even gave us free upgrades the week of the wedding. I truly can’t imagine getting married anywhere else because this place was perfection. The amount of compliments we received saying “this is the best venue they have ever been to”

The team at Herrington on the Bay helped execute the most perfect wedding day we could have asked for! The entire planning process with HOTB helped us stay on track and feel confident that we were getting everything done with time to spare. Professional, enthusiastic, and genuinely compassionate for our vision - the planning process was seamless and enjoyable. And the efforts continue at the set-up and the special day. The team coordinated with all our vendors, managed the timeline, and oversaw the entire event flawlessly, allowing us and our families to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the joy of the occasion.

My husband and I could not recommend Herrington on the Bay enough. From our first encounter with them to our wedding everything was more than we could imagine. We actually made the decision to book a venue before getting engaged because we wanted to get married on a specific date (12.31.23), I started reaching out to MD venues to see who was open during the winter, HTOB got back to me within the hour of my inquiry. When we went to look at the venue, we were greeted with beverages and appetizers. All of the staff we worked with wee amazing and extremely professional. Our day off coordinator, Melissa was absolutely fantastic. From our last planning meeting together to making everything run smoothly on our big day she was the best. Melissa, was extremely responsive even on off hours and was on top of everything. It’s been two weeks since our big day and we are still getting compliments from our guests on the wedding and the staff and how great the evening turned out. If you want to surprise your guests with something they won’t forget, opt in for the wow experience. The fireworks were the hit of the night and were better than we expected. Scott and I highly recommend Herrington on the Bay for your wedding, you won’t regret it!

We got married at Herrington on the Bay on November 3rd and I had the very best time! Although it leans more toward the expensive side at this venue, you get exactly what you pay for. The environment for the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception was great, the food was delicious (farm to table which is unique and amazing), and the staff were extremely kind and attentive the day of.

On the subject of the staff, I did remove one star because the turnover at Herrington seems to be high regarding at least the day of coordinator. We ended up communicating with 4 different coordinators throughout the planning process. They did do a nice job of passing the baton to each person but as the wedding day got closer it became convoluted and a little stressful to determine who we were supposed to be communicating with, for that reason I am thankful we had a separate wedding planner working through that with us.

I do want to commend Melissa Jacobs for being phenomenal at her job. She was right there when we needed her on the day of: she had appetizers from cocktail hour delivered by the V.I.P server to the shuttle for us and even had the kindness to fix my lipstick for me before we made our grand entrance (I'll talk about that moment forever!). She was the best so if you can make a request to have her I recommend doing so!

There were some other minor details that occurred the day of that kind of bothered me to think back on but they by no means ruined our wedding night! Despite those minor things I would recommend this venue.

Simply…perfect. Since the first day, every single person was warm, kind, helpful, patient. Marcie, Katie, Lexy, Mickey, and our awesome VIP server, Samantha, made the day-of stress free, easy, and SEAMLESS! The only thing they seemed concerned about was if we were happy and having fun. Everyone worked so hard to make our day their priority. It was all so special - from planning all the way to the grand sparkler exit. All of our friends and family had a BLAST. The apple cider/hot chocolate station at the ceremony site, the appetizers, our dinner, the drinks were seriously phenomenal. Herrington was actually my first job when I was 14 years old, and the level of genuine care and attention to detail has always been a staple here. I am so thankful for every moment and person involved!!!

Herrington on the Bay was wonderful from start to finish. I was immediately sold on the venue after the tour. Lexy was assigned as my "wedding planner" and she was SO so helpful! She was very kind, quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and I felt very supported through the whole planning process including the wedding day. Katie was also involved as our day of coordinator, and Jessie as our rehearsal and ceremony coordinator. Everyone was truly fantastic and did everything they could to ensure the wedding day ran smoothly and beautifully!

I can’t even put into words how special this place is and how wonderful all of the people we worked with were. From the moment I toured Herrington, I knew I had to get married there. We had to wait almost two years until our big day since they book out so far in advance, but it allowed us plenty of time to plan the perfect wedding with our wonderful coordinator, Lexy. She kept us on schedule, answered every little annoying question I had throughout the process (and I had a lot of them), and went above and beyond for us. We checked in regularly to work through our menu, timeline, vendors, and decor. Everyone at HOTB is a true professional and they go out of their way to make your special day come to life. We got married at the Polynesian lawn/paradise ballroom and it truly felt like a beautiful destination wedding. The waterfront venue and landscaping are so breathtaking that you barely need to decorate the space at all. The paradise ballroom was an elegant and enchanting space to have our reception, with it’s twinkly chandelier and spacious layout. HOTB provides everything you need: ceremony/reception space, food/servers, alcohol, event coordinator, tables/chairs/linens. It takes so much stress out of the planning process knowing that you’re in their capable hands. Last but certainly not least: the food was amazing! Some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had. We had braised short rib and chicken Chesapeake, which were both delicious. Our appetizers were a big hit with our guests as well! They source local, seasonal ingredients and there is an amazing variety of options to choose from! If you made it this far, you need to book here. I can’t tell you how many times our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. This place is truly special.

There aren't words for how amazing Herrington on the Bay and all their staff are. Every little detail was accounted for and helped planned by their amazing event coordinator and day of coordinator that are included in their wedding package. It's a gorgeous venue with amazingly kind and helpful staff who's only goal is to make sure you have the best wedding possible. I have nothing but good things to say about every step I the wedding planning process and it's all because of them. I can't recommend them enough!

This venue is 5 stars all around!!! We landed on Herrington after touring a few venues in the area, and although the price point was slightly higher it was SO worth it and one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process.

Lexy was our POC all the way leading up to our wedding and she went above and beyond every single time we contacted her. Even our wedding planner was impressed by how much Herrington took on. They make it SO easy and she answered every question with ease and grace. She even helped us with vendors. I can't even begin to put into words how amazing and integral she was in the entire planning process.

Our day of planner was just as outstanding and the day went off without a hitch! The food is delicious and there's so much variety. Our guests raved about the arepa bar, the crab cakes, and even the tater tot bar.

Herrington on the Bay is stunning and the staff is just as amazing. From the beginning of our journey with our wedding and connecting with HOB, to the end, was top notch service, easy and smooth, and we felt like we were the only couple getting married there. We were made to feel so special and communication was phenominal. Marcie and Amber were our coordinators and they were SO nice, so professional, and just all around the best. I cannot speak higher of them or thank them enough for all they did! THANK YOU Herrington on the Bay for giving us the best wedding ever!

Two months ago, we had our daughter’s wedding at Herrington on the Bay. It’s taken me this long to puts words to paper that can describe this beautiful venue, and more importantly, the
incredible staff! From our first tour of HOB, we realized that this was indeed a special place.
I believe because it is ‘family owned’ there is a definite sense of care and attention to detail.
Our Event Sales Consultant, Corinne Beylo, provided our initial introduction to the property and what a wedding at Herrington would be like, with venue options based on availability. It just so happened that the Chef was in that afternoon preparing for a Sunday wedding, so we were
fortunate to have him join our meeting and then bring us a sampling of appetizers! They were
handcrafted with a beautiful presentation. The wedding menu options are endless with HOB,
including late-night snacks and options for the cocktail party.

Once we signed our contract with Herrington on the Bay, we were assigned a specific Event Manager by the name of Marcie Licker. To say that Marcie was amazing would be an understatement. She was so responsive to our dozens of questions and requests over the
six-month planning process, that I honestly felt as though we were her only client! Marcie made suggestions based on her years of planning experience, giving her honest opinion when we needed it.

The venue location our daughter selected for the ceremony was the garden location, right on the beach, followed by a cocktail reception on the patio and inside on the first floor of the Yacht Club. It was nice to have these indoor/outdoor options. They had a bar inside and our daughter and her fiancé’s signature drinks prepped and ready to go (which was so nice that people did not have to wait).

The dinner was in the top level of the Club, which comfortably seats 150 people. They set-up
two bars on this level, which was really nice for crowd flow when people first gather upstairs
for the plated dinner. We opted for a champagne toast (and sparkling cider as a nonalcoholic choice) which was very reasonable. The Yacht Club is a beautiful quintessential “New England”
Club with white and gray paint, lots of windows overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, and a stunning chandelier that suspends down the center of the building. While dinner was served upstairs, the staff was converting the first floor to the dessert bar and dance floor. It was a seamless transition from dinner to dancing and dessert downstairs. The evening went by quickly, 5 – 9:30 pm, but it was a magical day for our daughter and she said, “this was the best day of her life.” Marcie consistently checked in with us to make sure all was going well and that there were no concerns to be addressed. A shout out to Chef Sarah for the beautiful meal. Everyone loved the food, it was hot, and each table had plenty of servers. The bartenders were fun and courteous, and all blended well with the DJ and photographer. We also hired a Wedding Coordinator, Leslie Jefferson with Wedding Savvy, who was recommended by Marcie. Without a doubt, Leslie was a treasure and worked magnificently with the HOB staff to ensure every detail was kindly care for. If you are considering North Beach, Maryland as a possible wedding location, Herrington on the Bay is magnificent!!

If you are seeking a garden or waterfront location, Herrington on the Bay is the perfect location for your special occasion. My daughter got married at Herrington on the Bay (May 2023) and the experience was magnificent. This waterfront venue provided a stunning backdrop and their top-of-the-line services and amenities are all inclusive. The staff was professional and accommodating. I can not say enough good things about this venue and the staff! The process was flawless from the moment we stepped foot on the venue and signed the contract.

I worked directly with Taresa and Katie and they both went above and beyond to ensure that the day went off without any major concerns. Teresa is phenomenal and she did everything to make sure my daughter had her dream wedding, even running last minute errands. Both ladies were responsive, responsible, patient, organized, and made sure every detail was attended to. Their team completely managed the set up and break down, kept the evening on schedule, and Katie checked in with me throughout the event so I did not have to worry or stress. Katie and her team ensured there was never an empty glass or hungry stomach at the wedding.

I highly recommend Herrington on the Bay. I loved the entire experience. From the beautiful garden view to the breathtaking waterfront; the delicious food and amazing drinks; exemplary service and skilled personnel. The service was exemplary and as I reflect back, the day was close to perfect, thanks to the amazing team. The guests cannot stop talking about the service and the VIP treatment they received. Unsure how to write a review that can fully capture how AMAZING the Staff at Herrington is. From our first tour with Kira from the Sales Team we knew that Herrington was where we wanted to have our big day. There are two venue options. We went with the Yacht Club. Though both venues are genuinely stunning in their own ways.

Marcie, was our Event Specialist, and made the planning process as easy as possible. She was so quick with communication and incredibly organized. She answered questions promptly, laid out timelines clearly, and was overall just fun to work with!

We were fortunate enough to have two wonderful Day of Coordinators, Brittany and Melissa. Who were also just fabulous and so thorough with everything. Unfortunately the day of, we did have to transition to the indoor option last minute due to summer storms rolling in, but these ladies and the rest of the team made sure it was a quick transition from outside to in and it was still so, so wonderful even though it was not Plan A.

Charlie, our Garden Attendant, who ended up having to set up the ceremony twice with the switch was also just amazing. Charlie was so sweet and fun to work with. He was willing to help with anything needed the day of. And for any future brides that work with him, he is the king of bustling dresses and will make sure that dress stays up all night long!

Our guests complimented how wonderful the entire staff was the night of our wedding. From those mentioned previously to cocktail waiters and bartenders, everyone was attentive and friendly.

The food at the wedding was amazing. Herrington has extensive options to choose from, that are all so delicious. They will work with you to create food options that are curated to your taste. Along with the food, the drinks were great as well! With different bar options and Signature Drinks to make sure your bar is just how you would like on your day.

I feel like I could go on and on about the little details the team at Herrington did not only on our day but leading up to it that made everything so special. Picking a venue for your wedding is a huge choice, but I genuinely could not recommend Herrington enough to any engaged couple looking for a spot. To anyone on the Herrington Team seeing this, thank you again SO, SO much.

Our experience with Herrington on the Bay was amazing from start to finish! From beginning to end, the entire process was so easy and stress-free and organized. Our wedding was really our dream come true and everything came out exactly the way we envisioned. We chose the Polynesian Garden venue.

Our initial tour with Laura was amazing and the food was so delicious that we knew we wanted to book this venue.
Lexy was so kind and responsive the entire process and answered all of our questions promptly.
Amber, our day of coordinator was also so kind, patient, and attentive the entire process and especially the day of our wedding. She made sure everything went smoothly and perfect!

We were extremely stressed out with the weather showing rain all week. Amber was very communicative regarding the indoor rain plan. She sent us photos to show us the options beforehand.
Taylor was our rehearsal/ceremony coordinator and she was also really kind.
The day of the wedding, we had to make the call of indoor vs outdoor due to the rain coming and both Amber and Taylor helped us make the decision, showing us the weather radar and going through options. Luckily we were able to have our ceremony outside like we planned! (Though the indoor option would have been fine too!)

Herrington is such a beautiful venue that you do not need to add a bunch of extra decor but there are also options to add on to make the venue even more beautiful. We added on the lanterns which made the venue look SO magical! We also added on the lights on the patio which we loved! Guests enjoyed the fire pit.
Our guests raved about:
-the food! they said absolute BEST food they have had at a wedding ever! they loved the appetizers and the entrees plus our signature cocktail. we also had late night tater tots plus topping bar which was a hit!
-the photo ops! they loved taking photos out on the dock, sunset photos, the ceremony site with the arch. we were so happy guests were able to enjoy the venue and take lots and lots of photos
-the venue- they said it was absolutely beautiful. some said they felt like they were in Hawaii with the bay and the palm trees.

The staff during the wedding were also great! The bartender was very nice and the wait staff were great.

The Inn at Herrington Inn is close by and highly recommend staying there as well in conjunction with your wedding at Herrington on the Bay.

They also had a tasting event prior to the wedding where we got to try different appetizer options and dishes and that was extremely helpful in making decisions for our wedding.

We just cannot recommend Herrington on the Bay enough! It really was our dream come true and we are so happy that we chose this venue. A HUGE thank you to Lexy, Amber, and Taylor who made our dream come true!
