Stevi is your cake artist and baking goddess! Her beautiful cake made all our guests (including my husband and I) take a double-look and say “well, Hey There lovely”! She has amazing talent, great artistic ability, and the cake tastes divine. Stevi and her Team took the time to understand our vision and nailed the vibe we were going for perfectly. We knew we had to book Hey There, Cupcake quite early during our planning process as we knew she’d make a cake that is truly unique, gorgeous, and a treat for the tastebuds. What really stood out about Hey There, Cupcake:
+ Very easy process to book a consultation and cake tasting.
+ Do the cake tasting; it’s 100% worth it. The hardest part was picking out our top flavors!
+ Stevi’s the only baker we found who had great ingredient textures in the cake (fruit pieces in cake, decadent expresso bean texture, etc)
+ Stevi really excels and stands out with her beautiful handmade waferpaper art
+ Very patient and open to listening to your ideas and preferences. Stevi magically manages to mix all your favorite cake ideas into one perfect cake!
+ Stevi’s hand drawn, painted, and gold leaf cake design sketch is amazing! My husband and I framed Stevi’s sketch right after our honeymoon.
+ Responsive to emails and questions during the initial planning process. When it reaches 2-3 months from the wedding, she was really great keeping in contact to nail down all the final decisions.
+ Stevi has a very unique personality, passion, and charm that definitely comes out in her amazingly unique and beautiful cakes!
My husband and I are so happy that we found Hey There, Cupcake. My husband was bouncing off the walls with excitement when he saw the peek-a-boo Ironman! During the planning process, we were struggling to find a baker who’s style fit our vision. Once we saw Stevi’s portfolio, we knew we’d be in for a truly unique cake and had to book her! Stevi is a pro. She created the absolutely most STUNNING, stand-out dessert table for our wedding day. People still haven't stopped talking about not only how over the top adorable the cake and desserts were, but also how delicious they were! She also made us an anniversary cake, which was the sweetest gesture and something for us to look forward to celebrating with in a year. Hands down the BEST! -

I imagine if I had the chance to take a peek inside Stevi's bakery it would be similar to that scene in Sleeping Beauty where the fairy godmothers keep changing the color's of the princess' dress as she's dancing with the prince because yes, her cakes are THAT magical. I know what you're thinking, "now but do they taste as good as they look?" -- my answer HELL yes.
Before we met with Stevi I remember looking through the pictures on her website and thinking to myself "wow, no two cakes look alike, how the heck does she do it". And then we met with her and I understood why. Stevi is a kind and gentle soul who's extremely modest about her talent. When you sit and talk with her there's a sincerity to her, she really wants you to enjoy what she's creating for you and wants to be sure your cake is everything you could possibly imagine and more. Rather than ask for a couple pics of things you've seen online, Stevi wants to learn about you and your general likes and dislikes. She considers patterns and different color palettes that you'd never even think of when you're dreaming up your cake (uh hello, like the magic she works with black fondant - and don't even get me started about how great her fondant tastes, there's no scraping this stuff off). And her flowers..........swoon......people gawked at our cake and were trying to figure out if her magical paper wafer flowers were real or fake. I don't know she does it, oh wait yes I do she has magic in her fingers tips.
Business wise Stevi is very responsive, understanding, and goes above and beyond when working with you to get that unique design. Our family is still talking about our cake. It had the magic to pull them off the dance floor to eat it - and if you've been to weddings you know that's no small fate. The best piece of advice I could give a bride working with Stevi; show her your design boards and then just let go of control and let her work her magic. You won't be sorry.

User1919876 Sent on 11/13/2014We got married in Palm Springs last month and Hey There, Cupcake did our wedding cake. Stevi did SUCH an amazing job on our wedding cake! She had never made our particular desert floral choice into an edible flower before but absolutely nailed it. All my guests thought our wedding cake had real flowers and were so surprised when they realized they were handmade! Stevi and I spoke via Skype before I'd signed with her and she was just absolutely lovely. She made me feel comfortable and also convinced me that she was right for the job. Thank you so much! xx -
