    Best Night of Our Lives!

Tiffany and the Catering By Michaels team were spectacular throughout the entire wedding planning and execution process. Tiffany acted as a liaison working with all of our vendors, and the team made sure that everything went smoothly the day our wedding. We would recommend this team to anyone looking to hold an event!

    Great experience

Had a great experience with our very small, COVID-compliant wedding! The staff on the day of the event was great and Tiffany was really great to work with throughout the planning process

The best wedding considering there were limitations due to Covid

As my daughter's original wedding plans were not going to happen due to covid and we still wanted a small wedding that felt every bit like a wedding but with few guests, I happen to gratefully come across this venue. The wedding coordinator that I worked with, Tiffany Otis, was the best. As covid changed, so did the guidelines. She helped us with every aspect of creating a beautiful event that made the day even more special. She helped with food decisions, answering any questions we had no matter how big or small, any changes we came back with, etc., etc. She helped us with every detail. And, she was so nice to work with. I really appreciated that tremendously as well. The wedding was gorgeous! The food was delicious! I honestly can look back and say there was not one thing that we could have or would have done differently.

From the beginning, the staff at the HPCC was amazing. They were flexible and did their best to accommodate any request we had. The venue was a little on the pricey side, but for everything included (butler passed appetizers, sit-down 4 course dinner service, champagne toast, unlimited wine, open bar, the list goes on...) it was on par with similar venues. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding (or other event!) Izzy, Kristen, and Kelly made the night memorable and beautiful.

When my fiance and I first got engaged we knew we wanted to get married at a country club and looked at a lot of places including Evanston Golf Club, Glen Club, Sunset Ridge, Michigan Shores, Valley Lo, and the list goes on. There was always something about those places that just didn't work for us. Maybe the room was the wrong size, it was too dark, no outdoor space, or just too expensive. When we walked into Highland Park Country Club, we knew right away that it was perfect!

Kristin who helped us throughout the process was great. The wedding package includes four courses, champagne toast, cake credit, bar and white table linens. We ended up renting chairs to cover the ugly pink ones that they have and added some uplighting. We used the large room with the outdoor space for cocktail hour and closed that off during dinner. We then opened the other bar for drinks during dinner. We did a chicken and filet combo plate and added a soup (for a total of 5 courses). Our tasting was great and the chef was flexible on what combinations were allowed for the entree.

Izzy (the banquet organizer guy) was truly amazing. Although, his responsiveness wasnt the greatest (he's a very busy guy) he really can deliver a great party. The day before the wedding we met with him and went over details including the menu cards, the table numbering and organization, toilet tree basket for the bathroom and even the golf carts that they had available for the wedding party to use for pictures. He didn't take many notes which made me nervous but everything worked out great. He stayed the entire night and was even there early the next morning for another event when we had to go back and pick up some items we had forgotten the night before. Give that guy an award (AND AN ASSISTANT)!

The course was beautiful (a wonderful weather day helped) and the food and service was excellent. From a picky bride to another... Thank you for a great day and memory!

This location far exceeded my expectations! The Chef was fabulous - and worked well with us to bring our vision to fruition. We had food stations throughout the night (and almost 300 guests). People are still raving about the food.
A great General Manager and staff.
    Great value.
    Easy, abundant parking.

The food was amazing, all our guests loved kept raving about the combination plate we picked! We loved being the only event there and not having to worry about people wandering into our wedding by mistake (this happened at our friend's wedding at a hotel). The staff was so flexible and easy to work with, they made sure everything went smoothly!

This was a great place to have our wedding. The food was wonderful! We received many compliments from our guests. The wedding package was very reasonable and included a cake from a very reputable bakery (Oak Mill Bakery). There were a few SMALL issues that involved communication, but everything worked out well, it just took a bit of time in some cases. Everything went really smoothly the day of the wedding. Afterward, we realized some table runners and napkins weren't put out -- not entirely HPCC's fault-- but they refunded our money very quickly, while the linen company dragged their feet about getting back to us. Very classy! Overall, very good experience with a beautiful location for the ceremony.

Our wedding at Highland Park Country Club (HPCC) was a resounding success. Despite hoping for an outdoor wedding, rain earlier in the week muddied the grounds, forcing an indoor wedding. HPCC communicated this to us with ample warning, so there were no surprises there. HPCC offered beautiful grounds on which to do photographs and a beautiful backdrop to our indoor wedding ceremony.

The HPCC staff turned the room around (from ceremony to reception) amazingly fast, it was totally ready after the cocktail hour. Rather conveniently, the bar was ready for cocktail hour with a number of ready-made cocktails for immediately after the ceremony. The drinks were solid, though the bar wasn't willing to do shots, neat drinks, or the like. In terms of food, the passed appetizers were delicious (the lamb chops particularly had raving complements) and the entrees were standard fare.

Both Sahra and Kristen were easy to work with throughout the entire wedding process, accommodating our requests and needs.

We had our Wedding Ceremony and Reception here last year and it went pretty well. The food was really good and the coordinator Kristen was a pleasure to work with. The Manager named Mark was our contact the day of the Wedding but he was not visible through out the night and the service was lacking because of it. Several times throughout the night after dessert we had to walk around and try and find Mark or a server and even had to walk into the kitchen to find someone to get what we needed. There was no one in charge of everything and that made everyone uneasy, especially my mom who was paying for the whole thing. Overall, a nice looking venue with pretty good food but the staff and the service was truly lacking.

This was the original place we were going to have our wedding, the price, location, and facility was perfect for our wedding. We placed our deposit to hold the date. We arranged our tasting through the wedding coordinator whom we will not name. We emailed and confirmed that there will be 6 adults and 1 child attending. We asked if there will be plenty of food and if we can purchase additional food so that this can become more of a dinner/tasting. Our response (in writing) that this is not a problem and it will be full portion.
We arrive for our tasting. The table was set for 4 people. The appetizers arrive..4 pieces each of the 4 we selected and the 5th type of appetizer was not available because it wasn't delivered on time. Ok no problem. The salad arrive.... 2 salads. My fiance and I looked at each other and we had a bad feeling about this. Our guests went with the flow. The entrees arrive....2 entrees. I checked my email on my phone, just to make sure that I did not misunderstood. Nope it was in writing. We pulled Izzy aside and asked I calmly asked the banquet manager (mind you this is the guy that is going to handle our wedding reception), what is going on? I have 6 ppl here for the tasting, which we emailed you one month prior and you confirmed. Where is the food? How can this happen? His reply. Please talk to the Director tomorrow, I have let the cook go for the evening. My fiance wanted answers too but his reply was the same as the one he gave me. Even my fiance argued that if he saw that there were 6 ppl and you have the table set for 4 ppl.. why didn't he recognize there was a problem? Why didn't he handle it? Instead of ignoring the issue? The sad part is.. I've worked in the hospitality business (restaurant/hotel) and this should of never happened. As soon as you recognize that there was an error, acknowledge it, correct it to the best you can. We would rather lose the deposit then have them do our wedding.
