Hillside catered our daughter’s wedding party today. Everything was fantastic from the food to the setup to the service. Attentive, artistic and timely done to accolades from all. Helpful guidance and suggestions even for other ancillary vendors like tent/tables/chairs to bartender to package store, all of which were of similar great quality. We can recommend Hillside Organic Catering emphatically. Just the best of everything including the people!!! -

All we can say is, YUM! Patrick and all the staff at Hillside were so wonderful to work with and made truly delicious food for our wedding. Patrick was the perfect combination of being open to our thoughts and ideas and offering suggestions of what he thought people would like. We got so many compliments on the food - especially the Salmon Javanese. We had a few friends and family members with allergies and dietary restrictions and they made sure everyone got something yummy to eat. The desserts from Sweet Lucy’s were a hit. We were so thankful the have leftovers the next day so we didn’t have the think about what to make for dinner. We can’t say enough good things about Hillside! -

Excellent! Guest gave many compliments.
Patrick answer all my question extremely quickly. He also set aside a plate of appetizer for the Bride & Groom to enjoy, we wouldn’t have had any if they hadn’t done that.
Would recommend the Mac & Cheese to everyone it was the biggest hit. The flame mignon was so tender it fell apart in the mouth. Great experience working them! -

Elizabeth Sent on 08/09/2018Hillside Organic Catering catered my husband and I's rehearsal lunch and wedding dinner. From start to finish, Hillside executed our two events flawlessly. Well before the events, Patrick and Craig had us in for multiple tastings, sending us home with more food than we could ever eat. They were flexible with their menu options and were happy to accommodate any and all of our preferences. The food, particularly the wedding dinner, was impeccable. My husband and I come from a restaurant background, and trust me, this is not typical wedding buffet food. The filet was juicy and rare, the local veggies had texture and were super fresh, and the fish was moist and uniquely topped with sweety drops and mango (Patrick's suggestion). They even went so far as to cook separate vegan meals for one of our guests (and she said it was the best stuffed mushroom of her life). Not only was the food outstanding, but Patrick and Craig were two of the kindest and most professional people we have worked with. They were knowledgeable about food and event catering in equal measure. I would recommend Patrick and Craig at Hillside Organic Catering for any of your events. Give this awesome place your business- it is well worth it. -

My husband and I were planning the wedding out of state and from the beginning Craig was extremely accommodating and was able to meet with us during one of our few weekends in town. We met at Hillside’s Bernardston location while they were preparing for an event later that evening. He welcomed us in and provided us with a variety of appetizers and portions of entrees to taste and become acquainted with from his menu. To say we were blown away is an understatement. Every bite we had was simply phenomenal. The food quality was one of the top priorities for our wedding and we booked Craig on the spot. Hillside also has extremely reasonable pricing for the quality and variety of food your guests will receive. The Javanese salmon was a major hit with our guests, along with the butternut squash raviolis. Guests loved all appetizers, especially the apple maple brie wheels, filo wrapped asparagus spears with boursin cheese, and the wide variety of pizzas. Craig was very accommodating and particularly mindful of timing with regards to when appetizers should be ready, salad should be passed, and dinner served, which is of high importance during the flow of the reception. Working with Craig leading up to the wedding was a pleasure, knowing he was handling the food gave us such a peace of mind and during the day of we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We would recommend Craig and Hillside for any event and to anyone. -

The food was delicious and exactly what we were looking for and the service by the staff was excellent (there were two twin waiters who got high praise all night, but really, all of the staff was awesome). Patrick was in charge, and he was thorough, efficient and amazingly professional. All of our contact prior to that was with Craig and he put up with our endless questions and inquiries with good cheer. He also took care of our linen and dishes order without a hitch. Can't recommend them enough! -

Beyond hearing about the fantastic work he is doing in the community, we were so impressed with Craig's willingness to accommodate our budget and his death of experience, which gave us complete confidence in him and his team. Hillside was a real pleasure to work with onsite at our wedding, from bringing pizza to family helping to set up our wedding, to accommodating dietary needs of our guests on-the-fly. Overall, our guests raved about the food and we could not have been happier about the service. -
User1778549 Sent on 08/24/2014Initially, my (now) husband and I had an extremely awful experience trying to book a caterer and were left having no caterer 2 months before the wedding, which, as you can imagine, was extremely stressful. Then, my husband suggested this one place that he knew catered a friend's event. When I first heard Hillside Pizza, I thought to myself, "a pizza place? No way!", but I have never been more happy to have been proved wrong.
Hillside Pizza does not make your typical "wedding food" that people sort of brace themselves through and forget. They make delicious organic, local, amazing food period. Our guests kept remarking how delicious everything was and how amazingly professional and kind the staff was.
And the man behind it all? Craig, what a guy. Not one single person during the entire planning process made me feel so at ease than him, which is appropriate, since his personal motto is 'no stress!' He sat down with us, gave us his FULL menu, and then said that we could have whatever we would like on the menu and he would make it fit our price point. He worked so hard to make us happy and was beyond pleasant.
The staff the day of were extremely professional, kind, efficient, and very nice. -

Patrick and the team at Hillside knocked it out of the park for our recent outdoor wedding buffet serving 110 people in Bennington, VT. I do not think there was a single guest who did not mention how amazing the food was. After the tasting blew us away last year, Patrick promised us that the food at scale would be exactly as good, which was absolutely the case. Aside from delivering an incredible meal, Patrick and his staff were a pleasure to work with, were coordinated and attentive with setup and service, and worked together with a local bakery to provide us a dessert bar. And after an evening of dancing, provided hot and fresh pizza as a late-night snack. I really cannot say enough about what a positive experience we had. Thank you! -

Patrick and his team were PHENOMENAL, particularly on the actual day of the wedding. They were attentive to our needs, around for questions, and helpful in making sure everything was going appropriately. Not to mention that the food was amazing. Patrick even provided us with some sage advice on marriage at the end of the night that we will always keep with us. Highly recommend -

Delicious food
Patrick is just good people. From the moment we had our tasting with him, we were hooked on Patrick and his food. He went through 3 date changes with us due to Covid and we couldn't have been happier. Any time I got stressed during the wedding planning process I said "If nothing else, I am going to have a great dinner". We chose to do a buffet dinner and there was more than enough food for everyone and people enjoyed getting to sample the different dishes. Patrick personally went around and made sure our guests were happy with their food. And despite my mother's skepticism, it is possible to have the perfect filet mignon served buffet style if you leave them in Patrick's capable hands. We certainly enjoyed the "eat" portion of eat, drink and be merry :) -

Hillside Organic catering was a truly spectacular partner during our wedding . First, the food they served was incredible. We've never had salmon so good (especially from a buffet!) They made a custom menu, and we had two separate tastings. Patrick and the whole Hillside family are kind, loving people and did an amazing job. I'd like to highlight how flexible Patrick and team are - they made sure that all our heart's desires were satisfied. Looking back, we're incredibly lucky to have found Hillside, and will definitely stop by for pizza next time we're in Massachusetts! The only issue we had was that it was somewhat difficult to get in touch with the caterer in the last few months of the planning process.
