I really loved this venue. It's a blank canvas that really transforms to whatever vision you have. My ceremony was amazing with the lights! I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We had our daughters wedding a Hillwood. This venue is amazing. Reasonably priced, conveniently located and beautiful grounds. Cindy was very helpful and responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend Hillwood for weddings.

We loved this venue and it was so beautiful inside and out! We only had a few small problems and that was with the owner. She got a little snappy a few times but other than that, we loved having our wedding here and it was beautiful!

I had my wedding at Hillwood September of 2017. The venue was absolutely stunning and they give you a list of all their favorite vendors to help your wedding planning process, however, they allow you to bring any vendors that you choose! Response time was slow on occasion, however we still had a great experience at the venue. Everyone couldn’t say enough good things on how beautiful the venue was for our wedding day. The buildings and the property were flawless and were perfect for our fall wedding. Highly recommend using Hillwood for your wedding as they were affordable yet the venue seemed as if I had paid a million! I wouldn’t change my venue for anything in the world and I was so impressed with the venue and a majority of the staff! Thank you again Hillwood for providing a wonderful venue for the wedding of my dreams!

My daughters wedding was at Hillwood which is on the site of Davies Manor. Everything turned out very nice. They had plenty of tables and chairs and even a piano.

The venue itself is so beautiful and amazing value compared to other venues. Only cons is you have to do all the setup yourself, some of the tables are in dire need of replacement. Also there are very strict rules regarding the venue. Otherwise we loved having our wedding there!

Beautiful for weddings. Great scenery for pictures. The decorations inside are perfect for a wedding. Had a beautiful wedding and plenty of time to set up and clean up. Thank you Hillwood.

Hillwood provided the perfect rustic appeal we were looking for within an ideal budget. The fireplace, brick wall, wooden beams, and twinkling lights added a sense of magic that made our wedding reception unforgettable. The bride's room, which I only used to change into my getaway outfit, was a very spacious room. It easily could have been used to get ready in for a large bridal party. We only used the "christmas lights" and there was more than enough lights in the space for our guests to see by safely. The only drawback is the location. It is somewhat difficult to figure out which driveway you are to use to go in and out, but with the use of a GPS it was fairly simple to find seeing it is right at the entrance of Davies Manor.

Beautiful and very affordable venue. Some of the staff was difficult to work with at times but overall was a great value!

I loved this venue! It's absolutely gorgeous. I booked far in advance, so availability wasn't a problem. I did feel the woman running the place was not as nice or patient as she should have been. But for the price, a bad attitude is no reason to not rent here.

Hillwood and Davies Manor Plantation provided a beautiful venue for our wedding and reception. Hillwood is gorgeous and the grounds made for perfect wedding photos, I wish I could give them 5 stars but other factors make me hesitant. First, please be prepared to stay on their schedule, they are serious about their deadlines! The grounds are very pretty but the only guarantee you have is that the grass will be cut the day (or two) before the wedding. A few days before our wedding there were weeds knee-high along the 'aisle' with no guarantee that it would be cleaned up. If Davies Manor/Hillwood is going to present themselves as a wedding venue and you can use any part of the property, it should be maintained which includes weeding along sidewalks. We were responsible for clean up afterward, that is fine but someone should make sure the facility was cleaned previously. We had to mop the sticky floor prior to setting up for the reception. There is a $300 security deposit required which we would have gladly given up if we didn't have to clean afterward but were instructed that was not an option and we had to clean. The wedding was over a month ago and after making 3 phone calls which went unanswered, calls have not been returned and for that matter, neither has the deposit. To be fair, as a wedding venue I would give Davies Manor Plantation/Hillwood 4.5 stars. As far as management, communication and responsiveness I can only give them 2 stars which is a shame. People are still talking about how beautiful the venue was and it does deserve a much higher rating but their management style hurts them. No regets from my end I just wish working with them had been less stressful.

Beautiful location with signifigant restriction for our large (300-400) wedding reception.

Hillwood at Davies Manor is absolutely beautiful, but that’s about it. Everything must be done in person, and with an appointment. Their schedule is Tuesday-Friday from 10:30-4:30. This was really hard to work with if you have a regular 9-5 job, and she does not make exceptions like staying later or coming earlier. There is also not a drop box so you must adjust in person meetings during business hours. We were also given a lot of information that was constantly changing. There was also a lot of discussion as to which package we had paid for, despite the fact that we had a signed and paid for a wedding contract. The wedding package comes with a 2 hour rehearsal session, but they don’t guarantee the day before your wedding. We were told several times that we had the rehearsal time, but then we didn’t because they had to keep it available for other people to book that day. We finally got a confirmation the week of the wedding only after a month debate over our contract/package. The tables and chairs that come with the venue also aren’t the greatest. Many of the long tables are very worn out and not usable because they are bowing. Also, the chairs are mix match metal folding chairs like you get with a card table. Renting different chairs was cheaper than chair covers but was an unexpected expense since Hillwood states that they provide chairs. It really is beautiful and you can’t beat the atmosphere that the lights provide, but I’m not sure if I’d say the hassle with the coordinator was worth the lights. If I had to do it all over again knowing what I know now, I don’t think that I would have my reception at Hillwood.

Venue is very pretty. Customer service is horrible. They have refused to give us a refund of our deposit for a wedding we could not have due to corona virus restrictions. We decided that having a wedding during the middle of a pandemic would not be safe for our friends or family, so we decided to cancel our event and elope. We gave the venue plenty of notice and they refunded most of our money but refused to give back the deposit. This is crazy to me because the venue was not even allowed to be open on our wedding date so we couldn’t have had a wedding either way. They gave us plenty of options to reschedule to a Thursday or Friday in the winter, or next year, but we decided to just elope. I would have thought that management would have had a little compassion for a bride that had to cancel her dream wedding and refund the deposit out of curtesy. All of our other vendors gave us full refunds with no questions asked, not because they had to but because they knew it was the right thing to do, but not Hillwood. Keep this in mind when you are considering this venue.

They were the most horrible people to work with!!! They are rude and call you constantly. They even kept part of our deposit because they said there were broken beer bottles and cans all over the parking lot. We served beer from a keg with plastic cups. Our family even stayed two hours to clean up. Please save yourself a big head ache and choose somewhere else. The venue is pretty but that is about it!
