Very Happy Sept 2023 Bride!
Booking Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe for our wedding ceremony and reception with Carolyn WAS the best decision we made throughout the vendor process.
From the moment we toured and booked HGI for our venue , I just knew that Carolyn was going to do everything possible to make our wedding day so special for us. And let me tell you, she executed and exceeded. She is such a great person and I was so honored to have her as a part of our vendor team!
Leading up to the wedding, Carolyn helped me so much with planning and answering all of my annoying questions. It didn’t matter when I sent her an email, or how many emails I sent, she answered them all so quickly and I really appreciated that. Each meeting with her was so informative and detailed. I truly trusted her input on everything. The food tasting was so so fun and delicious!
The things that went wrong on our wedding day was kind of unbelievable, but it could not have been more perfect nor could I have enjoyed the day without the best coordinator. Carolyn got us a last minute DJ, fixed my dress bustle, brought me endless espresso martinis, checked in on me, packed our food and cookies up for the hotel suite, switched the ceremony from outside to inside in 20 minutes (thanks to Pgh rain), and much much more.
Sneak peak into the reception space was a highlight of my day, I cried as my dream became my reality. It was absolutely gorgeous. We got an enormous amount of compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. Shout out to *Chef Dave* for the absolute BEST bread display during cocktail hour featuring Breadworks Bread! And helping me pull off the funniest surprise ever for the FOB! It’s been 4 months, and my dad is still talking about that moment. Staff and bartenders were all professional and made sure the space still looked clean throughout the evening!
All and all, I couldn’t recommend HGI and their staff enough. They all helped make our wedding day the best day of our life. I am so so grateful!!!!

Perfection
The hotel itself is beautiful with clean rooms and great amenities. Kellyn, the event coordinator made our wedding dreams come true. She was prompt in all her email responses and answered any and all questions we had. Day of, she was around for any of our needs and made sure the reception was set up perfectly. The hotel food was incredible. All of our guests enjoyed their meals, especially the ravioli appetizer! All of the wait staff was around and timely as they tended to guests. She was incredibly organized and communicated effectively with all our vendors. I had my wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe and it was absolutely amazing! Kellyn did such an amazing job helping me with planning/details leading up to the big day! Kellyn and Lizzie the day of kept everything on track and made sure everything was perfect! The food was amazing!! Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe Reception
I would highly recommend Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe to any couple looking for a wedding ceremony or reception venue! After looking at several reception venues, my husband and I knew that we were going to choose HGI after our initial meeting with Carolyn. Carolyn was truly the main reason we booked the venue. She is so warm, welcoming, and bubbly, and it was clear that she is an expert at her job. She made the entire planning process a breeze! Carolyn was so attentive and answered the many emails I sent promptly, which eased my anxious mind. I knew from the beginning that we were in good hands with her. She made our reception dreams come to life and we were blown away with how our space looked on our wedding day. She made sure everything was in place and that everything ran smoothly. She even helped bustle my dress! The space was gorgeous and we could not have hoped for anything better. The Greene Room was also a dream room for my bridesmaids and I to get ready in. So beautiful and awesome for getting ready pictures before the ceremony! On top of all that, the food was delicious and everything we wanted. All of our friends and family raved about our event! The Most Perfect Day at HGI Southpointe
We chose HGI Southpointe for our wedding venue after the first visit. The grounds were gorgeous, the venue space was beautiful, and the attention to detail paid by Carolyn and staff were enough to make this decision a no brainer. From that very first meeting, everything was genuine, organized, precise, and comforting. Carolyn puts all her passion into helping couples get their big day across the finish line. Working through all the intimate details of a wedding is difficult enough, but with the loss of a parent just 2 weeks before the wedding made it extra difficult. Carolyn could not have been more accommodating and for that, we could not be more thankful. Our wedding went off without a hitch thanks to her and the staff. She kept everything in line, on time, and ensured that us and our 150 guests were all taken care of. The wait staff was on another level not normally seen for such large venues/events. They were attentive, polite, quick, and present. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD and we are still getting compliments over a week later. Every item from the cocktail hour to the soup to the entrees were superb. We highly recommend renting the greene room on the 1st floor. The setup of the room is SUCH a vibe and the girls had so much fun getting ready in there. The outdoor ceremony location is beautifully curated and can be tailored to add anything you could possibly want. The garden is beautifully manicured and creates the perfect location for after ceremony pictures. The reception ball rooms are beautifully renovated with wonderful lighting that create the most inviting space for big or small receptions. The flexibility provided by all these spaces made our day go much smoother since we were able to hold our entire event on site at the HGI. Our big day was perfect!!
We got married at Hilton Garden Inn at the end of September and can not recommend it enough! Everything about our day was perfect. Every member of the hotel staff, from concierge at check in to the bartenders and catering staff, were so amazing and went above and beyond for us at every step of the way. The bartenders were so friendly and served drinks promptly. The food was amazing! Service was quick, even for 200 people, and our guests are still talking about how good everything was. The venue was so accommodating to any allergies/dietary restrictions we gave them. HGI made the process of dropping off decorations, cookies, and other wedding day items so easy. The staff played a huge role in setting up all our decor and it was beautiful! We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather on our big day and held our ceremony outdoors. The outdoor ceremony location is so beautiful. There are also so many beautiful locations for pictures in and around the hotel!

Overall, we are SO happy with the decision we made to have HGI as our venue. We HIGHLY recommend this venue for anyone looking to have their wedding in the area!

Best day ever at HGI!
My husband and I are extremely happy that we chose Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe for our wedding venue. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, photos, reception, and hotel rooms all at HGI. We also loved that we had Jackson’s on site to spend time with our guests the night before and after the reception.
On top of the venue being beautiful and convenient, the staff was wonderful. Carolyn was our wedding coordinator, and I knew we were in good hands from the moment I met her. She was with us through every step of the way. She helped SO much with decorating and making the reception of my dreams become a reality.
Carolyn and the rest of the staff made the whole process, especially the wedding weekend, so smooth, and took so much stress off my shoulders. Every single detail I told them beforehand was done exactly how I wanted it.

If we had to do it all over again, we would pick HGI and this team every time!
If you are thinking of having your wedding anywhere in the Pittsburgh area, HGI Southpointe should be at the top of your list to visit. From the moment we visited, we knew this venue offered EVERYTHING we wanted for our big day. The ballroom is beautiful and can accommodate any vision. The cocktail hour area left plenty of room for our guests to mingle while still feeling like an intimate space. The outdoor space was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. While the venue was perfect, we cannot describe how thankful we are for the staff. Although we did not originally book with Carolyn, I would not have changed our coordinator for anything. The HGI is lucky to have someone so talented, knowledgeable, and passionate about their job. From the many emails back and forth, the Zoom and in-person meetings, and making our specific vision come to life, we cannot express how thankful we are to have had her as part of our day. Carolyn was the best, and you NEED her for your big day too. On the big day, everything was seamless! Not only did Carolyn run the show perfectly, but she had amazing help from her teammate Kellyn. Although we did not meet Kellyn as often, she did not disappoint with her role. On the day of we were so thankful that Kellyn was there to the end to make sure we had everything that we needed. Kellyn was with us to keep us on time and make sure everything ran smoothly. These two make a great team. We would also like to give a big thanks and recommendation to the kitchen staff. We had never had such good food at a wedding, and you would not believe the portion sizes. Amazing! Never felt more at ease
Everything about the hilton garden in was just amazing. the food, the atmosphere, and especially the staff. No matter who i talked to whether it was the front desk, the chef, or servers etc they were all friendly and helpful. I was to specifically call out Carolyn who made the whole process soooooo easy and stress free. We all know planning a wedding is not a piece of cake. You tend to forget things get overwhelmed, and throughout the process Carolyn was able to keep me calm and make me feel at ease. Her knowledge of wedding is just outstanding. I never once doubted her or felt lost during this process. If you are like me and not good at planning anything. Great venue, delicious food and wonderful staff!
I’m an out of state bride that planned a wedding through texts, emails and phone calls. That was a challenge on its own. I was super unfamiliar with the venues that Pittsburgh had to offer. My fiancé (at the time) and I were looking for a ballroom that could accommodate about 350 people. We looked at 12 venues. After narrowing down the list to 2 venues (HGI being one of them), our main determining factor was the coordinator. I knew from our first interaction that I wanted to work with Carolyn from the Hilton Garden Inn.
I wanted to work with someone who was very involved with the planning process, efficient, well informed and gave several updates. All that and more describes Carolyn. I can’t say enough good things about her. I specifically changed my initial wedding date to be able to work with her. She was with me through the entire process. She found times that worked for my fiancé and I for our tasting. She updated me constantly! She gave us ideas of what we should add to our reception/ceremony. She recommended vendors. She was so patient and understanding throughout the whole process…. Even when I would send 2728292 updates to her every day and even with the time zone difference. She had answers to all my concerns. She was on top of everything. I wouldn’t have wanted to work with anyone else.
Wedding Day was organized and went by super quickly! It was such a smooth process. Carolyn was there at all times checking on me.
The head chef and his team know flavor and the food turned out beautifully seasoned! During our tasting, we got to try several different options for appetizers and entrees. The chef walked us through each option and allowed us to customize what sauces/sides/vegetables we wanted.
We had our rehearsal dinner at HGI and the food was great! We loved loved loved the New York Strip. The “wedding day” food at cocktail hour and reception was PHENOMENAL! They accommodate all dietary restrictions. We had about 5 butler passed hors dourves, 6 stationary hors dourves, soup, salad, entree and dessert. We got our money’s worth for sure. Our guests are still raving about the food!! Get the filet mignon and the salmon! THEY WERE AMAZING!!! Carolyn helped coordinate all that!
The staff was so nice and welcoming! They tried to accommodate all of our requests. The area around the hotel is quiet and peaceful. It’s close to Pittsburgh and the airport! The gazebo was perfect for our ceremony. The grand ballroom with all the chandeliers is beautiful for a reception. It comfortably fit about 250 guests and 2 bars!
I can’t say enough good things about the venue, the coordinators (Carolyn and Kellyn (who was very present during my wedding day and super helpful)), the bartender (Shoutout Dina), the managers and all the staff. If you plan on having a wedding that will blow your mind, don’t hesitate to go with the Hilton Garden Inn at Pittsburgh Southpointe!

Love this Venue!!
This venue was beautiful! However the day of coordinator Carolyn was the best part!! Her entire team were there with us the entire day! We did a blended American/Indian wedding and she helped coordinate all the vendors. They really go above and beyond in helping you during the wedding day! Also bonus they really take care of bride and groom through out the event with food/drinks just to make sure we are surviving and checking in on us. We are so VERY thankful to Hilton and Carolyn and her team for making our event one that everyone loved!This venue was beautiful! However the day of coordinator Carolyn was the best part!! Great venue! 10/10 recommend
HGI Southpointe was the perfect venue!! Carolyn our wedding coordinator made every step of the way stress free. She is very organized and our reception was absolutely perfect!!! All of the staff was great and very accommodating. If there was anything anyone needed they were just on it! It’s a beautiful room and they decorated it just perfect for us. 10/10 would recommend having your reception here!!HGI Southpointe was the perfect venue!! absolute best and most professional at
executing every single meaningful detail and aspect of your wedding or special event. We looked at many venues, the appeal of having both ceremony + reception in one place with no transportation woes was our goal but we struggled to find a venue with ample outdoor space for a ceremony or photos. When we found the Hilton, it checked every box & more! There's so much usable outside space both on property and across the street for photos that you can easily create a variety of scenes.
The packages they offer are rich with amenities & executed flawlessly, from the tasting process to meeting the amazing chefs and going through their menu, nothing but a positive experience. We received SO many compliments from our guests l've lost count: the rooms being so nice, modern & affordable (a lot of our guests travel often for work), how absolutely delicious the food was + how much of it there was, the luxurious spaces both inside & outside (the bridal suite, the outdoor ceremony space + pergola structure already there + ability to host a cigar bar with folks outside after dinner) & how spacious the ballroom was.
Carolyn is in lock-step with her couples, multiple rounds of questions & immediate responses, with perfect tracking & timing for the day-of. Professional, accountable, elegant, and beautiful
With having to change venues 44 days out of our wedding day, you would’ve never known they weren’t our venue from day 1 of planning 1 1/2 years ago! Our event planner, Carolyn Eckler, reached out on my post in the Pittsburgh Wedding Community page when I was in shambles not knowing where we would reschedule our wedding last minute, and literally took our vision and made it an even better reality! She communicated EVERY step of the way and made our transition to our new venue as seamless as possible! They accommodated anything we asked for or needed without hesitation and gave us the best day ever from start to finish! Their bridal green room was amazing, extravagant, and catered to a bride and her bridal party’s every need! Makeup artists, stylists, photographers and videographers had plenty of room to do their work and you felt like a queen!! They provided us a 3 course meal consisting of our selection of entrée(s), starting with an amazing appetizer, salad, along with 5 different selections of horderves for cocktail hour, premium open bar, all tasting more than I could ever ask for! Guests raved over the food and open bar, loving every bit of it! Carolyn was the best ever to work with, and will make your wedding day the day of your dreams! The absolute best!! The Hilton Garden Inn is an amazing venue! The value and quality we received was absolutely outstanding. Joanna was our point of contact. She made sure everything ran smoothly the day of the event and made sure that I was happy and calm all day. She expertly managed her staff and my bridal party all at the same time. The food was incredible, we had so many compliments for our guests. The only complaint we had was that our cookie table wasn't set up the way we expected, and some cookies were left out and not put on display. We couldn’t have had a better venue for our wedding. The staff was great and Alex was amazing to work with. They made everything run so smoothly and if there was anything wrong, I had no idea! Great location, hotel and service!
We used the Hilton Garden Inn (Southpointe) as our guest hotel. They recently remodeled the property and it looks great. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay and remarked how convenient the location was to our wedding venue. The hotel is located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh but provides easy access to the city as well. We also had our day after wedding brunch at the hotel and they did an outstanding job providing us with a private space and several buffet options for us to choose from.
We were impressed with Alexandra and Robin who we worked with from the start. They both had great suggestions and ideas on how we could make our guests comfortable and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We would highly recommend the HGI for use as a guest hotel, for your day after breakfast or brunch or for your wedding ceremony and/ or reception. Although we used the HGI as a guest hotel we have attended a wedding reception in one of their ballrooms in the past and were impressed then just as we are now.We used the Hilton Garden Inn (Southpointe) as our guest hotel. Unforgettable!!!!!
After looking at over 40 different venues I fond this gem! The cost fit well with in our budget and couldn't have asked for anything better! Alexandra Jordan was our wedding planner extraordinaire! She is one of the most professional, kind, detail oriented people I have ever had the pleasure of working with! From our first meeting to the day after our wedding she treated us like family! Every little detail, question, and task giving given to her was treated with such careful care and consideration that we were blown away! She kept us under budget, on time, and the entire staff executed our day beyond are expectations! Every staff member we came in contact with treated us with such care and kindness it will not ever be forgotten! We gave Alex our vision and all the decor and she placed everything exactly how we wanted it and even surprised us with decor placed in ways we wouldn't have thought! It was perfect! We started off with the a welcome champagne toast on a 6ft round table (Alex's idea) as the guests arrived, the ceremony was in their courtyard. Cocktail hour had 2 bars, a charcuterie and cheese station, and 4 hand passed hors d'oervers. We had round and long tables staggered in the ball rooms for our reception with the dance floor in the middle and a sweetheart table on a platform in front of it! Dinner consisted of a 3 course sit down meal with dual protein entree! The food was incredible! All of our guests couldn't wait for dinner to be over to tell us how amazing everything was! Saying, "I never really like wedding food but, all the hors d'oervers, soup, salad, and entrees were spectacular!" Alex had lots of recommendations for other vendors. We hired Memories in Bloom as our florist and 2nd II None as our DJ/Photo Booth vendors. Both went above and beyond to make our day magnificent! Some of the little things people rarely talk about are specifics as to how someone went above and beyond. Not me! When setting up the reception Alex noticed we had an uneven count on pillar candles, so she ran out to the store without being asked and picked up a few things we/she needed to make everything perfect! Hair and makeup was taking a lot more time and put us in a crunch but, Alex handled it with ease. Assuring us that everything would work out and not to worry! I honestly can't thank the entire staff at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe enough for creating the wedding of our dreams!!!!! Of course she was busy with many other weddings but she always made sure to get back to us in a timely manner with our many questions. We started following their intstagram page which helped us with many of the ideas for our reception. Alex and her team decorated the place beautifully and made our night one to remember. Alex is Amazing!
I booked my wedding/reception venue about six weeks before the actual day. I then had to plan a wedding in about a month! When I booked with the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe, I was introduced to Alex, our wedding coordinator. Alex was BEYOND AMAZING. I can't even begin to tell you how perfect she was. She was always available to answer any questions I had, she led me through the entire planning process. When my wedding day came, I was so nervous. Alex set up the ceremony and reception hall exactly as I envisioned it. She really listened to what I wanted and she made everything look fairytale perfect. I feel like she went above and beyond for us. She bustled my dress for me (because my mom couldn't figure it out, lol) and treated me like I was royalty. There wasn't a thing she didn't do or wouldn't do to make my day perfect. I feel like I was blessed to have found her and I was sad when the wedding was over because at the end, she felt like family! I booked my wedding/reception venue about six weeks before the actual day. I then had to plan a wedding in about a month! When I booked with the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe, I was introduced to Alex, our wedding coordinator. Alex was BEYOND AMAZING. I can't even begin to tell you how perfect she was. She was always available to answer any questions I had, she led me through the entire planning process. When my wedding day came, I was so nervous. Alex set up the ceremony and reception hall exactly as I envisioned it. She really listened to what I wanted and she made everything look fairytale perfect. I feel like she went above and beyond for us. She bustled my dress for me (because my mom couldn't figure it out, lol) and treated me like I was royalty. There wasn't a thing she didn't do or wouldn't do to make my day perfect. I feel like I was blessed to have found her and I was sad when the wedding was over because at the end, she felt like family! There are no words to describe how perfect my husband and I's wedding day was on 7/27/18. Joanna, our wedding coordinator at the Hilton, was phenomenal. She was able to make my vision come alive from the ceremony to the reception and beyond. When I was feeling nervous or stressed, Joanna was always there for me. She kept me calm, cool and collected throughout the entire planning process, rehearsal and on our wedding day. On our wedding day, I was nervous and excited, like every bride. Alex, the other wedding coordinator, came in and visited me when my bridesmaids and I were getting ready and asked if I needed anything to eat, drink or anything else she could do. She brought me cereal, which was amazing because I knew I couldn't stomach a heavy breakfast with all the nerves! The food was delicious all around! The accommodations were excellent, especially with the new renovations. The courtyard ceremony site was perfect. Honestly, I can't believe how perfect it was. Thank you, Joanna, for making our wedding day perfect and everything I ever dreamed of. <3 I highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe. Alex was the wedding coordinator provided by the venue for our wedding. She is seriously amazing! She made planning the reception details effortless. It was to easy since everything was included. I couldn't imagine or want to have to co-ordinate all of the tables/chairs, lines, glassware, silverware etc if I had gone with a venue you had to bring everything in. She was so responsive to emails, and helped us throw together a next day breakfast the week of. I had been to 3 weddings at the Hilton Garden Inn before my own wedding. All of them were fantastic and SO different for the same space. We got married in their off season and they had a great discount and upgrades available.
