Had the wedding of our dreams
We had our wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn in St. Charles, IL this past May. People always talk about having their dream wedding, and having ours at the Hilton Garden Inn ensured that our dream came true. We worked with Natalie Sutphen and she was absolutely amazing! She helped us navigate all the big decisions, as well as the minor ones that we didn’t even know we had to, all while making us feel comforted throughout the process. Working with her, we knew nothing would fall through the cracks. Our wedding had about 120 guests and the venue was absolutely perfect. We had both the ceremony and the reception in the hotel, and with guest accommodations on site, our guests loved it. A true one stop shop! The hotel is wonderful, and the reception hall was perfect. It is situated at the back of the property, so we truly had a private space for just us and our guests. The nice thing about working with the Hilton is that their wedding package includes everything you need in one price (venue, food, booze, flowers, cake, linens, backlighting, etc). While everything is included, they have you work directly with each vendor to ensure everything is exactly as you want it to be. Oh, and then there is the food. Being at a hotel, you may think the food would be just average, but that was not the case at all. The food was absolutely amazing! We had several guests compliment us on how good the food was, and tell us it was some of the best wedding food they have ever had. All in all, our experience at the Hilton Garden Inn was truly amazing. We used this venue for a block of rooms for our wedding guests. After a confusing phone call with central booking, I finally got a hold of Laura and she straightened everything out and set us up with a block of rooms for our guests. We considered holding a day after brunch here as well, but ultimately had it at my parents house. Laura was very helpful in communicating everything they offer and making sure we were satisfied. We had multiple people stay here for our wedding. Laura was a pleasure to work with to make sure we had everything we needed on our special day. The only thing we heard for a negative was the first shuttle did not show up even though there were people signed up for it. They had to wait til the end of the night to leave. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and the rooms were very nice and clean!!We had multiple people stay here for our wedding. We originally booked with this vendor a year and a half before our wedding date. The deciding factor was the wedding coordinator and her flexability. Unforunately for us, she was offered a new position not long after our booking and left the hotel. The Catering Manager took over and that's when things started to go downhill at time for us. Initally, it wasn't until almost 5 months later that we found out the woman we booked with had left the hotel. I was given a rather rude letter that I had been informed right when it happene. They had all our contact information on our contract and we never receieved and email, letter or phone call. I just wish the woman we delt with was a litte more professional. In email and in person there just seemed to be a disconnect.
After the initial meeting, things were a little better, we were given some information on vendors to use to help save us save money. All of which were appreciated.
