  There are not words to express just how DELICIOUS our cakes were from His Bakery! Let me preface this review by saying that we had gone to several more "popular" and well known bakeries for cake tasting in the Portland area and, while all the cakes were very good, the staff at the other bakeries left something to be desired. We came to His Bakery and not only were the cakes just as good (OR BETTER) as their competitors, but there is a lot to say about good service. And also, the prices were VERY good.
  
  We had a friend of our family make our decorative tiered cake but we ordered two full sheet cakes from His Bakery. We chose the spice with cream filling/frosting and a white with lemon filling and cream frosting and it was all done with a very simple decoration of our choosing. It was ON POINT! The cake was delivered on time and was literally some of the best cake I've had in my entire life. The white with lemon *I'm still dreaming about it*.... So good.
  
  Frankly, you cannot beat the prices, the taste and the service of this amazing bakery. If you want TASTE and COST over choosing what may be more well known but much less awesome, DEFINITELY consider His Bakery for your cake needs.

  His Bakery has amazing cakes that are the perfect combination of sweet and light! We had a cake tasting and I gave him a picture of what I wanted the cake to look like and it was perfectly executed! Delicious, beautiful and so easy to work with!

  We visited and did 4 cake testings. HIS Bakery won us over from the moment Jack greeted us at the door. He was insightful and wanted our cake to be OUR cake. He even surprised us and added a handful of flowers to the layers when he arrived to set up the cake. The end product was GORGEOUS!!!! And we chose some great flavors. The price was right, too!!! We appreciated their "small business" ethic. He had his hands on all parts of the process right down to delivery and set-up and he communicated wonderfully! We could have had fancy over the top, but we had THE perfect cake, at simple yet classy!

  Jack does the most beautiful and delicious cakes. You will not be disappointed and he is reasonably priced. Invite him to your wedding or special event. Best in Portland.

  My mom surprised us with a cake from His Bakery. This cake was INCREDIBLE. We had a literary themed wedding and each layer was a book. It made me cry! It was a complete hit, beautiful and tasted fantastic. My mom said they were fantastic to work with and did a great job setting it up also. She said she would give them 10 stars in each category and I would give them a million stars based on the final product.

  His Bakery is amazing!!! I originally ordered a cake for 150 people, but a couple weeks before I downsized, and changed some of the flavors with no problem. The staff is so nice, and the cake is absolutely delicious. I wish I could eat their white cake with lemon filling every day!! I had brought a few pictures of different designs that I wanted, and they executed it beautifully. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you all so much for making my wedding cake so beautiful.

  The cake was beautiful and it tasted amazing! Very easy to work and very pleasant to work with. We ordered a small bridal cake (2 tier) and a sheet cake for the rest. They offer a bunch of different options as far as size/style and a bunch of yummy flavor combinations.

  I could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding cake! His Bakery was very helpful throughout the planning process and took the two different wedding designs that we had provided, and combined them into one. Our cake looked exactly how I had envisioned! Not to mention, it was absolutely delicious and so many of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had! The pricing of their wedding cakes are also very reasonable compared to several other places we looked at.

  His bakery was incredible. As soon as I tasted their cake I was blown away. I am not much of a cake person but I could not get enough. They were extremely patient in hearing my ideas and helping me design my cake and I got so many compliments on it!

  Jack and his team at His Bakery were great. We wanted a cake that was not too sweet that our guests (mostly Asian) will enjoy, without going with a traditional "Asian" cake. They answered all our questions, made us a tasting that we could take home, and were very flexible when we wanted to change our design after we had already told them what we wanted on our cake. Our cake was beautiful and was so delicious, people kept asking where we got it. Their cake prices are VERY reasonable too.

We had three different kinds of cupcakes and by far the Red Velvet was a fan favorite. They delivered our cakes on time and had no issues with the payment or details beforehand. Don't pay for overpriced cakes when you could support a local place like His Bakery!

They let us do two tastings - one in November when we were first testing out bakeries and one in June because we had forgotten the flavors. Also, we came by at 5:30pm after work one day and they stayed open late just to accommodate us and let us plan our wedding cake. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted, but "uh, these colors, and some flowers, and ribbon and a design" turned into a beautiful wedding cake. Plus, our cake that fed 150 people was about $425, which is cheaper than just about everywhere else in town. We got married at the Aerie and they delivered for free. Good service, good price, great cake - all for the win.

  Imagine my surprise when deciding what we wanted our cake to look like when my groom says he doesn’t like frosting. I thought, how am I supposed to choose a wedding cake now?! These guys made themselves the exception to my now husband’s rule. Being a self proclaimed foodie, cake tasting was my idea of Disneyland. Choosing favorite flavors of cake with the right filling and frosting was like choosing whether to ride Space Mountain or The Matterhorn for the 12th time. Everyone has their favorite but I liked them all! Every flavor wasn’t overly sweet, and the frosting actually tasted like something other than whipped sugar. Designing a cake was much more detail oriented than I had ever known, and most of it I had no preference on, but the bakers walked me through every step and gave many samples of presentation ideas. I went with a 2 tiered cake with 2 other tiers being cupcakes.
  
  The day of the wedding came and my bridesmaids were running around setting things up when they rush to me as I’m getting ready. They could not believe how beautiful the cake was and couldn’t stop gushing about it! They exceeded the vision I had in my mind and everyone was wowed by it! As a “take that” to my groom, during our cake feeding, I shoved all the frosting in his face, got a good laugh and guess what. He really liked the frosting. The only downside to our cake was that we were so busy during the day, neither of us got to eat our cake during the wedding. But we heard everyone else loved it!

  Jack and the team at His Bakery were so great! The cake was delicious and our cupcakes were gone within 30 minutes, which is usually under heard of at weddings to not have leftover cake! I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

  They made my cake exactly the way I asked for. I guess it helped that I only wanted a simple design. Everything else was also flawless. I had 3 different flavors: red velvet, pink champagne, and I think a plain white... can't remember... and I don't care because it was all so good!! :] Their white chocolate mousse filling is the bomb diggity. We went to at least 4 cake places (some which were "super fancy") and not only did His Bakery taste way better but they cost less too.

  They made my cake exactly the way I asked for. I guess it helped that I only wanted a simple design. Everything else was also flawless.   His Bakery is amazing. They delivered exactly what I wanted for my wedding cake. I had had nightmares from reading too much on the blog cake wrecks of destroyed wedding cakes, but had nothing to fear. Granted my wedding cake design was pretty simple, but they executed it beautifully.
  
  The cake itself was delicious. I had several people make mention after the wedding that it was the best cake they had ever tasted.
  
  The employees were great to work with, very friendly. I'll definitely be recommending His Bakery!

  We had gotten a graduation cake and birthday cake to taste before our wedding and they were both perfect! Our wedding cake was amazing! The staff was so sweet to deal with. The cake was spot on to what we wanted. It tasted amazing and looked even better! They made my decorations perfect! I would buy a cake from them anytime!
