This venue was PERFECT for our wedding on May 6, 2017! Stephanie was the venue coordinator and she actually came on board just a few months prior to our wedding. This at first made us nervous but we were soon put at ease and felt even more confident in her abilities than the previous coordinator. She made sure the grounds were beautiful for our wedding day and was readily available the week prior for us to come by and start getting things together (we were a DYI wedding and had built a rather large arbor and farm table for the event). She helped make sure things ran smoothly especially in the case of our unexpected weather (rain and a drop in 30 degrees outside). We had both the ceremony and reception here. There are so many options for how you want your event to look and play out (from the garden tiers to up in the house). We chose this venue for the look of the beautiful garden tiers, the wisteria walkway, and the fascinating history of the house itself. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

On September 17, 2011, we had a wedding for our daughter at the Bleak House in Knoxville, TN. Everything was perfect! Jessie our coordinator had been so accommodating and helpful up to the day of the wedding. The venue was loved by everyone! We used the gardens for our ceremony & reception and the house was used for our cocktail hour. I cannot stress enough how pleased we all were with the final result! The bride & groom said it was better than they dreamt it would be. What more can you ask for??!!

I highly recommend the Bleak House! The house itself was gorgeous and the grounds were perfect for our vintage outdoor wedding. The wedding coordinator, Jessie, was very helpful, acting as a liaison between us and the vendors, and setting up a timeline for the big day. Our wedding was everything we ever dreamed and more, and I couldn't have imagined it taking place anywhere else!

We had our reception at Bleak House, and it was absolutely beautiful. The ladies there are great to work with!

The location is absolutely beautiful, however, there was a complete lack of communication by the wedding planner. My husband and I took care of all the details and our other vendors were fabulous, so we were able to make it a successful day.

After firing the (awesome) wedding coordinator 6 weeks prior to my wedding, and then refusing to allow us to hire her privately - until we made numerous phone calls and had to reference our contract in order to keep her - the day went off perfectly.

But if I am honest, it was in no way thanks to the Bleak House. The grounds are gorgeous. The people in charge were very difficult to work with, and were almost comical at times. Be very careful - the board who oversee the house seems to operate within their own rules. I just don't want other brides to have to deal with that level of drama. It was exhausting

My experience with the bleak house is terrible. They are not flexible, the grounds are over grown. The flowers in the flower pots are either dead or dying. The ladies who are over the wedding committee only care about getting your money. They charge you 5000.00 to use the venue for 8 hrs. We were told by one wedding planner we could get into the grounds early the morning of the wedding to decorate. Then3 weeks before the wedding the Bleak House hired a new wedding planner. When we told her the other wedding planner Said we could come early to decorate she said the wedding committee would not let us. The new wedding panner did give us an extra 4hrs but 2 of those were used doing yard work. The lights would not work, the fountain would not work, and our caterer had to try and clean up in the dark. You do not get to do our wedding over, so my advise is do not use the Bleak House. You will be sorry.
