We hired Hannah a few months ago for our upcoming wedding in November 2024. Our package also included an engagement session. Hannah was beyond flexible with our schedules and allowed us to reschedule multiple times due to my indecisiveness and wanting the best backdrop for our photos. We got engaged in the Swiss Alps so I really wanted mountain shots. Fast forward to our scheduled date yesterday, 4/26/24. Weather was looking ok but then it took a turn for the worst. My fiance and I drove 3.5 hours to Blowing Rock to be engulfed in fog and rain. My ideal photoshoot overlooking the mountains was void. Hannah swooped in and saved the day. Her excitement and reassurance that our photos would be amazing, her overall energy and beautiful personality really put us at ease. We had the BEST time!! Hannah mentioned without me asking about a previous negative review on all platforms and her transparency, honesty and willingness to speak about it really made me respect her. I can see and feel her passion when it comes to her work. Honestly, it made me feel so much more confident I made a great decision choosing her to my our photographer for our big day. Now, back to us. She sent us sneak peeks within less than 5 hours. I’m obsessed! She hit the mark on my vibe. Hannah, I can’t wait to work with you in November on our big day!!! Thank you again, for everything. -

We had a courthouse wedding and contacted Hannah for pictures last minute and they were all SO beautiful and for such a reasonable price! 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. -

My husband and I got married on 12/31/23 at the Stockroom at 230 and Hannah was our photographer for the day. She was amazing, very professional, polite, and patient dealing with my friends and family. It was very chilly on our wedding day and we were in a time crunch to get all of the pictures we wanted, and she was great at keeping things moving and in order. I love her style and am so excited to see the professional pictures in a few months. 20000/10 definitely recommend for anyone in the Raleigh and surrounding areas!! -

To my fellow brides and grooms- please hire Hannah. You are in for such an incredible treat, and an experience you will never forget! Hannah joined us for a 3 day wedding celebration- a fusion Bangladeshi and American wedding. She came to the Triangle for 3 days (which is quite a drive for her!) and was not only an incredible photographer, but doubled her duty by being a keenly perceptive individual playing as liaison between strong families and overwhelmed bridal and grooms parties. Hannah has a clear vision- her style is bright and striking, which is what we loved about her work to begin with, and when we received the preview, we were slack-jawed at how incredible the work looked, the photos were breathtaking. Moreover, she delivered the preview in just a short week! She has such a good eye for not only the human subjects in her work, but also the small details of the wedding that sometimes get overlooked. Her clear passion and excitement about “chasing the light” injected some much needed levity and sweetness to an exhausted couple after 3 days of ceremony, something we cherished as soon as we saw the photos.
Hannah’s work speaks for itself- she has a very discrete style, and is phenomenal at her job, which is already more than enough to love. However, of all the vendors we interacted with and hired for 3 days of festivities, Hannah is by far the standout. She is kind, funny, and instantly makes everyone comfortable. Her emotional intelligence is so evident, as she fluidly navigates strong personalities without ruffling feathers while simultaneously ensuring she gets the shots quickly and efficiently. At her core, she manages not only to capture beautiful photos, but intimate moments in time. Especially when weddings can overwhelm the couple getting married, having a person like Hannah in your corner, reminding you that, yes, in fact, take the time to do these photos, give her direction for anything you want, is so incredibly reassuring and refreshing. Hannah is a gem amongst a slew of very talented artists, and we are so grateful and appreciative to her for capturing our days.

Excellent photography!
Hannah took breathtaking photos at our wedding! I was anxious on my wedding day and she helped reassure me. Weddings can be overwhelming and stressful. Hannah ensured I felt comfortable and happy with the photos we did. She and her assistant were so kind. The photos turned out great and I'm excited to see the final touches added to them. I would recommend Hannah to any bride and groom! 💕 -

Hiring Hannah and HLM Weddings to photograph our wedding is the BEST decision we made in our planning process. Our photos absolute perfection - everything I hoped they would be and SO much more! She captured every bit of decor, every embrace, every meaningful moment, every goofy face, truly all of it - she's amazing. But the best part of hiring Hannah was having her present on our day. She soothed my bridal nerves, kept my family and bridal party on schedule, made the most of some really tough circumstances, and did it all with a smile on her face and a helping hand at the ready. We LOVE her. Hire her. You will NOT regret it. -

I’m a bridal hair and makeup artist that was hired for a wedding on 5/26/24. Hannah was hired to be the photographer for this event, but NEVER SHOWED UP.
After poor communication throughout the morning with the bride, she finally notified the bride she’d arrive at the venue at 3pm to photograph the first look. I have a small camera that I use just to take hair and makeup photos, but I offered to take a few photos of the bridesmaids in their pjs and of the bride getting dressed. I’m not a professional photographer by any means but I know brides love those photos and Hannah was arriving after they had already gotten dressed and headed to the venue. At 3:15 pm as I’m packing up after the bridal party had left for the venue, I get a call from a bridesmaid informing me that Hannah had sent a text to the bride that her car was broken down and she was still 45 minutes from the venue with no answer on when or if she’d be arriving. The bridesmaid asked if I’d bring my camera and at least photograph the first look to that the wedding schedule didn’t fall behind. Of course I headed straight over there! I photographed the first look, a few couples portraits, and a few bridal party photos. Another bridesmaid pulls me aside and tells me that Hannah was supposedly sending a different photographer but they were still 45 minutes away. She then asked if I could possibly stay and take family photos for the bride and groom. I of course stayed and took those for them. At 4:45 the bride told me I could head out and that the second shooter should be there for the ceremony at 5:30. I checked in with the bride this morning only to find out NO PHOTOGRAPHERS SHOWED UP AT ALL. The only photos this couple has of their wedding day are the ones I took, and reminder I’m only a hair and makeup artist!! If I could put zero stars I would. As a wedding vendor I find Hannah’s actions to the absolutely appalling and extremely unprofessional. Wedding days are so important and special and this couple can never get this day back. If you want to actually receive the services you’re paying for, don’t hire this company. If I ever have another bride tell me this is her photographer, I’ll tell her to run! I will also make sure the battery in my camera is fully charged that day. -

UPDATE 3/27: first I want to say, we were pleased with our wedding photos in the shade, but the photos in direct sunlight were not good, she blamed the ceremony time, although we have pictures from iPhones that looked great! Our ceremony was also captured from so far away, which was disappointing as I couldn’t see my husband reaction. But apparently that’s her style. I understand it’s hard to photograph in the sun, but a professional photographer should know how to adapt to that.
After I made my reviews she reached out to me. She had apparently re-edited our photos, but never sent us the new album (apparently Pixieset was suppose to notify me). After seeing the re-edits I asked for the raws because I was still unhappy, she just threw a preset on them and called it a day. It took awhile and some unnecessary drama, but we got the raws yesterday. I hope no one else has to experience what we did. She kept asking me to remove my reviews, but I felt it was important that my I share my honest experience and not hide it from other potential couples. I had a handful of her brides reach out to me because they were also having similar issues with Hannah. I hated to hear others were being treated the same way. I never asked for money back and never wanted any, I just wanted my photos so someone that knows what they are doing can edit them. I have worked in the wedding industry and with many vendors before, so when I say this experience is something no couple should ever have to go through, I mean not wholeheartedly. I do not like leaving reviews like this, but when you’ve been disrespected, and treated the way she has treated me, it shouldn’t be kept a secret. I have been kind and patient with her, even though she didn’t make it easy. For her sake, I’m not sharing the screenshots of the nasty comments she has made.

We hired Hannah at the end of May 2023, and things started going downhill after our engagement session in July. She was rude, unresponsive, and scattered. I’ll just say working with HLM was what caused the most stress leading up to our wedding day, the day off, and after. We got married at our Church in August. We regret hiring Hannah and that disappointing because of all the great reviews she had. But, for some reason she really dropped the ball with us and failed to accept any responsibility for it or show any empathy or compassion. All the photos in direct sunlight are overexposed, which is all our family photos and more. I know we had a more intimate and non traditional wedding, and that’s the only reason I can think of that she would show up unprepared and “winging it”. She kept asking me over and over if there was any other poses I wanted. I understand wanting to make sure you don’t miss anything but I felt like she took no control over things. I sent a Pinterest board, per her request months before our wedding that she said she just looked at the morning of our wedding. Asking me “anything else” just about after every photo was overwhelming and exhausting, something a bride should not have to even think about on her wedding day. That’s why we hired a professional. She was supposed to re-edit them but she is now ghosting me and I haven’t heard from her since December. From the reviews it seems that if you have a traditional extravagant wedding you get a different version of Hannah than we did our on wedding day. Which is saddening because no matter how big or small, your wedding day is important. She failed to make ours feel like it was.HLM Weddings's reply:

I am so sorry you feel I wasn’t professional at your wedding, I zipped and helped you with your dress and was a friend every step of the day!
You got married at high noon in august, it wasn’t overexposed as it was the normal lighting outside, I edit light and airy with a hint of bold. Thats my style. I provided you with the raws in hopes you would give grace and remove the review and possibly have someone edit in a different style you liked more, I understand my style of capturing wedding days doesn’t match everyone’s! You were on a raised platform and I was shooting with my 35mm which is typical for me during ceremony and most of the day on wedding day except for when I shoot details and that’s typically with a macro lens.
I was very unresponsive at times due to my fathers passing in October, I also apologized and tried to repay you in full for my lack of communication.
I apologize things didn’t go well with us but as a business owner I accept full responsibility and apologize that you weren’t happy! I have tried to make things right and have spoken with you multiple times over the last few months trying to come to a common ground.
You received the raw images, and I hope someone edits them to your liking and again I’m so sorry you feel I didn’t treat your wedding with respect as I love wedding days and am excited at each and every single one!
Also, for anyone wandering she did get married at a very lovely campground! I absolutely loved it and thought it was such a quaint and cute place! This did not make me think less of her on her wedding day or treat it differently!
