Anne and Bill are absolutely amazing! Their communications prior to the wedding and materials (photo sheet/schedule) were comprehensive and invaluable- we felt totally prepared and organized and were able to get in all the shots that we wanted to have. They took time to figure out exactly what we were looking for! They walked through the day with us on several occasions and brought things to our attention that we would have missed or overlooked otherwise.

On the day of- they did not miss a single moment!!! Everywhere we turned, there were our photographers. They captured every kiss, every tear- they even had an assistant at the reception. We have amazing photos of every single one of...

OUR WEDDING PICTURES WERE AMAZING!!! I have not gotten any sleep since we received our pictures because I have been staying up looking at all of our wonderful pictures. My husband and I look stunning in all of our pictures. I have never regarded myself as very photogenic but Anne & Bill managed to capture my good side in every photo. They also managed to capture the energy, fun and love with each image.

We were referred to the Hollands by several friends whose weddings had been photographed by Anne and Bill. While my husband and I knew that photography was one of the most important components of our wedding day, we were working within a fairly constrained budget and the Hollands are a bit pricey compared to others we contacted. Anne and Bill were willing to make slight modifications to their standard packages to meet our needs, so from the start it was apparent that they are not only in the business for the money, but they are truly a fantastic team very invested in making the couples they work with happy.

My husband and I knew we were in good hands with the Hollands from the work they'd done with our friends, so we didn't not overly manage how they would operate during our wedding day, and they really were wonderful. They seemed to flawlessly move through the wedding day without disrupting any of the natural moments, and they capture emotions with such perfect clarity. I feel very moved and am really taken back to the same emotions I felt on the wedding day when I look through the photos.

Some of the added bonuses of working with them are the wonderful blog they post and the online wedding album that you can easily share with friends/family as to not have to personally manage the process behind others purchasing images.

Aside from how amazing they were to work with leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day, they have continued to go above and beyond even after the photos have been delivered. They recently reached out offering to provide suggestions around what photos would be best to frame, etc. I am so impressed by their natural talent as well as their work ethic, and their genuine wonderful hearts.

I would not change a single thing about my experience with the Hollands - they were absolutely amazing and I hope to have the opportunity to work with them again.

We were a bit slow in selecting our favorite photos for the wedding album (we were married June 7, 2014). Last week, the album arrived in the mail with two copy versions for our parents (let's be real - for the moms) and we couldn't be happier. The photos seem to take on a life of their own when printed and blown up in size.

On a side note, Anne and Bill were surprisingly helpful during our ceremony rehearsal. They gave our officiant, a family friend, some great tips based on their vast experience watching and photographing weddings. We were so happy they spoke up!

Anne and Bill of Holland Photo Arts were our photographers at our August 2, 2014 wedding in upstate New York. Not only are they two of the nicest people I've ever met, they are amazing photographers. They took the time to meet with us several weeks prior to the wedding to find out what we were looking for. They far exceeded our every expectation. Their creativity and professionalism shines through on every single photo they take. They were an absolute joy to work with, and felt like part of the family with our guests. We used the Hollands for our engagement session and our wedding in Washington DC in October 2013. What I loved most about both sessions is that none of the photos seemed forced. They managed to capture my husband and I in very candid moments, which made it very hard (in a good way) to pick out our favorite photos for our wedding album. The Hollands photos are not staged like a lot of photographers, but capture individual moments, which in my opinion makes their photographs a great representation of our wedding. We had so much fun working with the Hollands and would whole-heartedly recommend them to any couple for their wedding photographers.

I had heard from many friends and family (and still do) that the one aspect of their wedding they were most disappointed in was their photographers. We absolutely had the best photographers for our wedding. From quality of photos to timeliness of photos to personability/professionalism, the Holland's are without a doubt the best choice you can make. We get weekly compliments on the quality of the photos and since there are two of them at the wedding, they didn't miss a single photo. They captured moments I never would have dreamed of requesting. We also received numerous compliments on the Holland's kindness and professionalism during the wedding. I cannot say enough good things about these photographers!!

As an amateur photographer I am usually pretty critical of other peoples work. After seeing Bill and Anne's work it was a pretty easy choice. On our wedding day they were able to capture the mood of the event without interrupting or interfering with the wedding. The photos did such a good job of capturing the event our guest asked for copies.

Anne and Bill became not just our photographers, but life long friends. In addition to being incredibly professional, prepared, responsible, and responsive, they also happen to be genuinely warm and friendly people. Their artistry is beyond compare, and their photographs captured the Greatest Day of Our Lives(tm) perfectly. We have recommended them to everyone else we know who is getting married, and as our family has grown, they've come along. In addition to our wedding, we have done five other family photo sessions with them, and have loved everything about their product and about working with them.

The Hollands were absolutely phenomenal. The moment we met with them, we knew we wanted to work with them. As they say, you can lose yourself on your wedding day and they will find you. We are thrilled with our photos. They captured so many of our loved ones so perfectly it was a blast looking through all of our photos and I must say about five of my friends at least have candids by the Hollands as their profile pictures now. The cost of any photographer can seem a bit shocking at first, but every penny was worth it with Anne and Bill! They were an absolute joy to work with and they bring a special dynamic to a wedding being a husband and wife team. We had the chance to meet with them over drinks a few months before the wedding and this is something we really enjoyed. Both Anne and Bill were extremely responsive throughout the planning process and had a lot of great wedding insight (not necessarily related to photography)....

Anne and Bill are not only talented photographers, they are also wonderful people who will make you feel like you have dear friends documenting your wedding. Our photographers were our first priority when planning our wedding, and the Hollands did not disappoint. They are very professional, responsive, and will make you feel at ease on your wedding day. Even our family and friends commented on how lovely they were. They are also incredibly unobtrusive, we didn't know they were there most of the time but they captured every important moment. There is no shortage of talented wedding photographers in DC, but you'd be pressed to find a pair that capture the most fleeting, subtle emotions as beautifully as Ann & Bill. We knew when we saw their portfolio that they would do a great job immortalizing our day, but what we couldn't have predicted was just how easy and fun they would be to work with. Obviously, their body of work speaks for itself. We initially believed they were out of our price range, but they were incredibly flexible in designing a package that would fit within our budget. Honestly, they were still a bit of a “splurge” but I could not be happier that we made the decision we did. If you want to splurge on one item they are definitely it. The cake, dress, flowers, etc. – none of it will mean as much without amazing photography to capture the details forever.

Pros: 1) absolutely skilled (beautiful, beautiful shots), 2) warm personalities (while this may seem odd, you are letting photographers capture intimate moments - they made us feel like old friends and put us immediately at ease while they worked as a team – it is a huge advantage to work with a married couple), 3) unobtrusive (once we finished the portraits, I had no idea they were there, but they still captured each important moment), 4) responsive (via phone and email and we met with them in person – they were quick to answer any/all questions and provide suggestions), 5) experienced (they’re familiar with many of the area’s venues and we knew we could leave it to them to choose the best shots, locations, etc. They attended our rehearsal, which we were not expecting – not to take pictures, just to touch base with us again, get to know the bridal party, and familiarize themselves with the ceremony), 5) did I mention the beautiful shots? :)

Cons: If you want staged portraits where your gown’s train is just so and your attendants are in evenly spaced, regimented rows – they are not for you. They capture the moments; they don’t artificially create them for you.

We began planning our May 2011 wedding 16 months prior beginning with our first trip to The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va. We knew then we had found the perfect location for our wedding weekend and we also KNEW at that time from looking through the wedding brochure of past weddings at The Homestead, that we HAD TO HAVE Anne & Bill Holland as our photographers.

We started “officially” working with Anne & Bill (a.k.a. A & B) in March 2010, just over a year before our wedding, but we spoke with them numerous times prior to even signing a contract, and they were consistently eager and readily available to answer any of our concerns/questions.

My husband and I lived in NYC at the time, so we unfortunately did not get a chance to meet with A&B before our event. However, through several phone calls and 250+ emails (not exaggerating!) between us and A&B, we were able to plan every detail related to our wedding photography and we felt like we had met face to face several times already once the big day arrived!

During our wedding planning process, I became obsessed with each and every detail, and was adamant that our wedding vendors were on the same page with every detail as well. A&B humored my overly detailed planning and not only were our photos beyond anything I could have imagined, but the relationship formed with A&B leading up to the actual photography was equally wonderful.

On that note, the wedding photos! Where do I begin? The excitement began when we viewed the ‘ONE” blog post with the picture they found to be most amazing, followed shortly thereafter with their first and second blog posts with sneak peaks and engaging A&B commentary, and remains exciting today, long after our first viewing of the entire collection of our wedding photos.

Through A&B’s unbelievable gift of photography, we will be able to relive our wedding weekend through their work of capturing everything from the day, but most importantly, they captured: Love. Laughter. Tears. Whispers. Deep Thoughts. Silliness. Traditions. Little Details. Big Details. Little Moments. Big Moments. Our Moments. Guest Moments. Happiness. Best day of our lives. Memories, minute by minute, captured forever.
