All I ever had hoped!
I had my ceremony, cocktail hour, and wedding reception at Hotel Northland. My family and I couldn't have been happier with the end result. The hotel is absolutely stunning and perfect, our guests raved about the hotel rooms. We hosted our cocktail hour in the downstairs Alley that had bowling, pool, and cocktails/appetizers for our guests. The food selection for our day was beyond delicious and also unique! We had hot and cold appetizers for cocktail hour and a Sicilian Buffet for dinner. We had a dessert selection for guests along with a cake that guests kept talking about that was made by the pastry chef at the hotel! It was such a wonderful day, and we were so glad we chose Hotel Northland to be our venue!I had my ceremony, cocktail hour, and wedding reception at Hotel Northland. Classy, Out-of-the-Ordinary Venue in the Green Bay Area
Our daughter, married in December 2023, had a gorgeous wedding at the Hotel Northland. Our guests were awestruck by the venue, food, and service.
Most of our guests were local, long-time residents of the Green Bay area and had no idea that the Hotel Northland was restored recently and was available as a wedding venue. They were amazed with the areas we had reserved—the Alley, the Mezzanine, and the Crystal Ballroom. Several older guests enjoyed reminiscing about high school dances they had had attended at the hotel many, many years ago, while younger guests expressed surprise that such a beautiful hotel was available in Green Bay as a wedding venue—with several acknowledging that they wished they had known about the hotel when planning their own weddings. Everything about the hotel was exceptional, with delights at every turn; the venue itself was a terrific conversation starter.
The Alley was the perfect place for our guests to relax, converse, and help themselves to light refreshments during the “gap” between our daughter’s Catholic ceremony and cocktail reception. Initially we thought our guests wouldn’t be overly interested in the bowling, billiards, or shuffleboard available; however, they took advantage of every entertainment offered. We even added a board game station with stacks of playing cards and games like Uno, Pub Trivia, and Pictionary—and, yes, our guests played those too! To keep the Alley entertainment distinctly different from the cocktail reception, the culinary team at the hotel created a hot chocolate bar with made-from-scratch cookies and donut holes along with an assortment of beverage toppings. The display was delightful, and the treats decadent. Our guests had a great time, and we were so happy that we added this element to our celebration.
Having a distinctly different cocktail reception in the Mezzanine also worked well for us. The Mezzanine was a sparkling, elegant area that transitioned our party into dinner and dance. Our guests, ascending the stairs from the Alley to the Mezzanine, were welcomed with the music of a jazz trio and a magnificent appetizer and hors d’oeuvre spread--the hotel culinary team worked magic to create a breathtaking and divine assortment of nibbles. Together with signature cocktails, the appetizers and music were a great way for our guests to warm up to a spectacular dinner.
Absolutely stunning, the Crystal Ballroom was the perfect space for our elegant meal. We cannot thank the staff enough for their attention to detail—candles, chargers, napkins—everything was exquisite. Dinner service was impeccable, and the food was perfection. Several guests left their own tables during dinner to tell us how fantastic the food was—“the best wedding meal [they] had ever had”! From the salads to the dessert, the meal far exceeded our expectations and provided an unforgettable climax to our special day.
Most certainly, the Hotel Northland was the perfect venue for our wedding vision and our guests’ delight. One guest later commented that the entire experience was uniquely memorable. Other guests shared, days and weeks later, that the venue was “perfect” and “beautiful.” The staff (Special thanks to Nicole Krueger, Brandon Flitter, and the culinary team) was patient, helpful, and accommodating during the entire planning process—questions were answered in timely fashion and adjustments were made with ease. Wedding Review
To summarize, very, very unimpressed and saddened by our wedding planning process here. The turnover and communication, or lack there of, made it nearly impossible to have a good experience. We were ignored, and when spoken to, were told they were focusing on other weddings (within a month of our own, and we had questions they would not answer). Would absolutely not recommend at this time.To summarize, very, very unimpressed and saddened by our wedding planning process here.
