We had our wedding at Hotel Washington in May 2024 and it was the best decision we made! After reviewing a few other hotels downtown, we loved that Hotel Washington offered three separate spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Also, the views from the Sky Room CANNOT be beat and that was a huge draw for our out of town (and even local) guests. The day went off without a hitch and all of the staff, especially Mariah and Doug, were great to work with! After the wedding, we heard so many amazing reviews from our guests about the food served during cocktail hour and the reception! Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience!

We had our reception at Hotel Washington and we are so glad that we did! Stephanie, the hotel's Director of Social Catering, was so helpful all throughout the planning process, and so patient with all of our questions! The hotel was able to accommodate all of our requests and the set up of our reception was absolutely beautiful! The entire Hotel Washington team was so welcoming and helpful throughout all of our planning and the wedding weekend itself. We felt that all of our guests were well taken care of, and everyone really enjoyed the food! We highly recommend Hotel Washington!

Hotel Washington was far and away the best wedding venue we could have imagined. Hotel Washington's wedding package was a value for the extraordinary quality of location, service, and food. Our stay at Hotel Washington felt luxurious--everyone made us feel special and taken care of. A few hours before the wedding, my manicure on my left hand got messed up and the hotel spa came to my rescue! The amazing staff ran to my aid, helping me layer different polish colors to match the rest of my manicure. The hotel worked also with us to get a great rate for our guests. We could not recommend Hotel Washington for your event, or just a stay in the city, more!

Our experience with Hotel Washington was fantastic! When my husband and I started the early stages of wedding planning, we knew our guest list was going to be fairly large. As we started visiting DC venues, we quickly learned that many were going to be too small for us. It was important to us to have our wedding in DC. We finally visited Hotel Washington and it checked all the boxes for us (beautiful, unique to DC, and accommodates our guest list).

A few months after signing the contract, there was some transitioning of staff which led to some lags in communication. After the new staff joined, everything was smooth and great! E-mails were responded to quickly and the staff was all so helpful leading up to the event and day of. I want to specifically mention Ellen and Daniel. They catered to our every need and made sure my husband and I were happy! As soon as the ceremony ended, Ellen gave my husband and I each our signature drinks. At the cocktail hour, the staff put a plate of appetizers together for me to make sure I'd eat. For the reception, Ellen was able to add High Noons to the bar list. Those little details made our wedding day even more special. I highly recommend Hotel Washington to anyone considering this venue!!

Our wedding at the W was so special- our guests had nothing but positive things to say, and we felt incredibly supported by the staff there. The food was wonderful, the bars were great, and Sloane was absolutely fantastic to work with. Even when things went wrong, Sloane and her team found solutions and ensured that the entire day ran smoothly. Truly nothing but positive things to say!

We had our dream wedding at the W Hotel in DC on July 3, 2015. We worked with Sloane Aureli and she went above and beyond to make our vision come to life. Everything was perfect. During the planning phase, Sloane was so responsive and easy-going when we had questions or changes. Our wedding was on the small side, but the service the W provided did not waiver with size/budget. We stayed in a suite for several days before and after the wedding and throughout the entire stay, staff treated us like royalty--everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed. For the wedding, the food during the cocktail hour and reception were plentiful and delicious, the drinks were readily available and the waitstaff was a pleasure to work with. We held an after-party at POV--they provided ample space for seating in a reserved section and the service there was also impeccable. Our guests were absolutely amazed at the quality of the food, the service and the attention to detail for the entire event. It was a holiday weekend and lots of tourist and party-goers in the hotel on the day of our wedding, but everything was still organized and flowed very well. I loved every minute of our day and highly recommend the W as a venue.

The staff at the W were awesome to work with for our daughter's wedding and reception. Every detail was given great attention which resulted in a spectacular evening of fun, great food, and excellent service for all of our out of town guests, family and friends. Our W representative, Bonnie Stolp is by far the "Best in the Business". We LOVE the W Hotel in Washington, DC.

The W hotel in Washington, D.C. Was the perfect venue for our wedding!!! Working with Shannon was totally fun and easy. She was so professional and paid attention to every detail in a calm and attentive manner. The entire staff was fantastic to work with and so sweet and professional to all our guests. The room looked amazing and everything the whole night went flawlessly!!! Our wedding wouldn't have been the same anywhere else and I would highly recommend this venue to any bride!!!

Everything was great. I had my wedding there on a Friday night in June and everyone was very helpful and my suite was fabulous. It was exactly what I had hoped for.

We held our wedding reception in the Altitude room and our cocktail reception in the lobby level in Studio 1 and 2. Sarah Petermann helped us plan our whole day flawlessly. We loved working with her! She always got back to us quickly and was very flexible with the needs for our party (moving the cocktail hour, changing and adding appetizers, wokring with the room rate for guests). Every detail was taken care of. The food was amazing. The entire staff made us and our guests feel special and welcomed. They provided a lot of service for a wedding in our price range and gave us starwood points for everything! Their standard chairs, tables, and place settings were fabulous and modern. No need to rent anything. Our guests were really impressed and many said ours was the best wedding they ever went to and I think a lot of that had to do with the outstanding food, service and atmosphere at the W.

Cheapest venue around and got so many compliments. Great to work with. Has a rooftop bar, and needs little decor with white lighted tree branches around the room!

We used the W Hotel Washington to host our wedding ceremony and reception. The event space was the perfect blend of modern and glam that we were looking for! The staff at the W hotel was amazing to work with throughout the process. Sloane and her team listened to all of our needs and requests and were able to put them into action. The weekend of the event, they made us and all of our guests feel welcome. There was another event going on at the hotel that day and they did their best to make it feel like we were priority. Our only criticism has to do with the room block we had at the hotel. There was no flexibility with the room block rate that we made but that was due to Starwood corporate, not the W Washington itself. We would absolutely recommend the W to anyone in the future!

What can I say? All that you heard is true- snooty, snobby, and arrogant. they make you feel as if it is an honor to have your event there. If it were not for the decor of the place, location and venue, I would have never considered this place.

When you enter, the place is amazing but you must contend with a nightclub feel no matter the day/time- ropes, lists, Men In Black security just to take the elevator. Very pretentious. Behind the scenes, event coordinators are quite disorganized and make you feel like a bother or ungrateful should you ask for a return call. Working with the event staff was a NIGHTMARE!!
