  Celebration of Life

  I recently used Howell & Dragon for my late partner’s Celebration of Life. Madison and the entire staff were wonderful to work with. The venue was perfect, and the catered food was great. They made an incredibly difficult day easy to plan and execute. I imagine it would be a perfect spot for a wedding.

  Beautiful Venue

  We are so glad we chose Howell and Dragon for our wedding reception! They were so easy to work with and helped our vision come alive! We received so many compliments on how nice everything looked and how great the food and service was. Madison was very helpful and responsive. We had a guest count of 90 and it felt like the perfect size. We will definitely recommend to other couples!

  A Perfect Night!

  I can't say enough about how wonderful a job Howell and Dragon and CN Catering did for my daughter's wedding. The venue itself is beautiful. The way they have it set up, you have a multitude of options. They provide everything from chairs to silverware. Truly a one stop shop! Brooke was a dream to work with - she is incredibly responsive and so helpful in making suggestions and showing set up options. She was patient with my never ending questions and displayed professionalism and confidence! The service provided during our event was seamless! They were well trained, non invasive, but there when you needed them and friendly and polite. To me, that is a sign of a well run organization...happy employees! Let's talk about the catering - The food was, quite honestly, the best I've ever had. A week later and people are still talking about it! Everything was hot (not luke-warm) and delicious! We had 3 different food stations and they were run like a well oiled machine! At first we thought there would be lines and it would take a minute, but, I kid you not, we blinked and everyone was served and enjoying their meal.
  I don't know when I will have another opportunity to use this group, but I can assure you, when I do, they will be at the top of my call list!

  Great venue!

  Howell and Dragon was the perfect place for my daughter’s wedding. They worked with us endlessly with all the changes because of the pandemic and made the day beautiful despite the changes. Everyone raved about the venue and the food. I would recommend them to anyone! I want to thank David and his team for all their hard work.

  Same company for Venue + Catering is a plus!

  My husband and I had our wedding reception at Howell and Dragon in January 2020. I would pick this venue over and over again, it is stunning! When I first walked in and saw the lobby and chandeliers in the main room, I knew that it was the one! And I received an email response the same day I inquired about the venue. The whole team at CN catering was so amazing throughout the whole process leading up to our wedding day. A special shout out to Lexi, because she was the absolute best. We got so lucky with her! Everyone was helpful and they were always responsive to all of my questions. Aside from the beautiful aesthetic, the food was so delicious and affordable. We’re still reeling with happiness from how beautiful and tasty everything turned out. The vision we had for our wedding reception was truly captured because they took the time to work every detail out with us which was important as we didn’t have a wedding planner.

  Dream Venue

  Howell & Dragon was our dream wedding venue. The white brick walls, the beautiful chandeliers, and even the lounge seating matched perfectly with our 1920s inspired theme.
  
  David and the rest of the staff were a joy to work with. They were incredibly flexible with any changes that came up. Because of COVID, there were many so we really appreciated them accommodating us. David did a really great job of listening to our desires, but also recommending additional options that we hadn't considered and our wedding turned out beautifully.
  
  All of our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was as well as how yummy the food was! CN Catering hit it out of the park. Everyone said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Hmm, the elotes.
  
  My husband and I highly recommend using Howell & Dragon and CN Catering for any of your special event needs. These guys are the utmost professional and will make your dream day come alive!

  Most Amazing Space!

  Howell and Dragon is the perfect venue for brides looking for that boho, industrial romantic vibe. It balances the warehouse-y vibe with luxury (aka not "too run down", which some other venues i looked at were), and the chandeliers in the ballroom are gorgeous. I could not have picked a better venue.
  Design: this is a beautiful space that can be dressed up or down to fit your needs. For us, it allowed us to have a beautiful wedding without spending and exorbitant amount of money on florals and décor. Additionally, there's a beautiful ivy-covered building next door, which was wonderful for shooting photos of the wedding party!
  
  Layout: the venue has two main spaces – a cocktail lounge and the larger ballroom. This makes it very easy to have the ceremony on site, move everyone to the cocktail lounge for drinks and apps, and “flip” the room from ceremony to reception. The cocktail space is beautiful, with a stunning bar display, and includes three sets of luxe lounge furniture. If you’ve been looking at the styles of venues on Instagram, you’ve probably seen many boho/industrial venues with beautiful lounges set up. However, at most venues, this furniture is not included, so you’d have to rent it at additional cost. At Howell and Dragon, it’s included in the space rental, which saves you $1-2k (crazy, right?) Additionally, the two-room setup gave older guests a place to hang out during the reception, in case they were less interested in the dance floor.
  Catering: Since the venue is owned by CN Catering, they are your catering vendor by default. This is actually a really good thing. The venue has a kitchen on site, so your food is not being carted across town and then reheated to serve – its being cooked right on site. CN has an extensive menu, but honestly they can make you anything. I know in-house caterers can be iffy for some venues ,but this is not the case with CN. They do plenty of events at other venues as well, so you know they are well respected, fairly priced, and do a good job. One wedding planner I talked to said she recommends them to any bride whose venue doesn’t come with an in-house caterer, as in her opinion, they are some of the best in the industry, very professional, etc.
  Accessibility: The venue is all on one floor, and can be accessed via ramp or a short staircase from the street level.
  Parking: there's a pretty good amount of street parking available nearby, which was helpful for guests driving in from the suburbs.
  
  Bottom line: if you’re looking for a venue that strikes a good balance between luxe and industrial, stop looking. You’ve found it. The team here is very professional, and you won’t regret choosing them to host your day.

  You have to see it for yourself!!!!

  I had my wedding reception at Howell and Dragon, and it was an absolute DREAM!!!! Brooke and Doug are so polite and engaging, you definitely want them, or any of their staff on your team. They made sure my day was flawless without any bumps. Also the food was delicious and my guess could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. I’m so happy with EVERYTHING !!!!!

  Great venue, excellent customer service!

  Held our 2019 annual office holiday party at this venue. Great venue, CN Catering was excellent and staff/servers provided outstanding customer service. Only feedback about the venue, the bathrooms are in a covered outdoor hallway and the two or three entrances from the outside to that hallway were not secured with the gate doors and we did have someone that was walking the streets that came in and crashed our party but was promptly removed...would like to see those exterior hallway gate doors closed/secured during an event and they should also be able to be accessible to exit in the event of an emergency.

  Perfect Venue

  Howell & Dragon was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! It is new and unique - my husband and I fell in love with the funky lounge area, exposed brick, and chandeliers - such a fun vibe! It also has a patio which offered a nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere for our guests. We received so many compliments on the location - everyone said it was perfect to us! The staff was great - very responsive and helped our vision come to life.

  The team at Howell and Dragon was organized, professional and helped to keep our event on track. Staff executed our cocktail and dinner wonderfully (it was a gala, not a wedding). The food was great and I received compliments on the venue. H and D is a terrific space if you need a lounge/cocktail area in addition to a dining room (plus there is a small bit of outdoor space in the front). I would highly recommend.

  I wanted the "WOW" affect for my wedding and I definitely got that at Howell and Dragon!! All of the details to the lighting, flowers, photo booth, band, chairs, chandeliers, and food all came together!! My guest had a wonderful time and could not stop asking of where and how I found the venue. Howell and Dragon is a secrete gem in the Dallas Design District and highly recommend this venue!!

  Howell and Dragon worked perfectly for our wedding reception. The space is really beautiful - it’s somewhat urban but still romantic and fit well with what we were wanting for our wedding. The size of the space and the layout worked really well for us and it was nice having two sort of separate spaces, the front area with the nice, elegant bar where we had cocktail hour and had a photo booth, and then the larger room with the chandeliers where we had our dance floor, cake, tables, food, etc. The food was great and our guests and us had a lot of fun.
