Exceeded expectations!

Beautiful, well kept mansion with tons of space & wonderful
character! Plenty of room for the ceremony, brunch and reception. Tables & chairs provided, bridal suite, fenced in yard, beautiful driveway. Original hardwood floors means no shoes in the house but as is most homes in Alaska. Our expectations were exceeded & we have nothing negative to say. Highly recommend!

Fairytale Wedding!

Everything was absolutely PERFECT! I was able to have the fairy tale wedding that I always dreamed of thanks to Huffman Manor! In addition to having the wedding ceremony and reception, we also booked the manor to stay in for a week. It was wonderful being able to stay there with my family and spend that extra time with them and took the pressure off of needing to be in and out of a venue in a day. Jackie was wonderful and so helpful with everything on the day of.
Advise for future brides: initially, I wasn't thrilled about the no shoe policy, but I ended up getting custom made barefoot sandals for myself and my bridesmaids and got matching argyle socks for the groom and groomsmen. I had a basket of gray slippers at the front door for guests to change into if they didn't want to be barefoot and everyone was given a heads up prior to the wedding. No complaints and it turned out great!

Wonderful!

Absolutely beautiful venue for a small indoor wedding that required minimal decorating. The staff was so helpful in making the dream a reality and having everything go smoothly. Communication throughout the planning process was completely open and prompt. The freedom to be able to decorate independently and choose your own vendors was also fantastic.

Stunning and elegant

This is a charmingly elegant venue! Jackie help us so much and was so amazing and understanding in the craziness of the days leading up to your big day! There is so much you can do with this venue.
They are very busy during wedding season so it can be difficult to get in touch at time. I advise getting in as many visits to the manor in the spring before they get started with weddings so you can form a plan.

Do yourself a favor an do NOT book with this venue! They will do anything to keep all of your money even though they will tell you that they are all about flexibility! They are very unprofessional and won’t care wether there is a pandemic or not they won’t try to work anything out! Also read through everything in their contract if you are thinking to book. If the event planner says something different than the contract do not believe her biggest mistake I’ve done. They have no communication between their employers. If I can give them no stars I would.

We are very sorry for the unpleasant experience this bride perceives that she has received. Because we
only have one bride in a dispute, we are fairly sure who we are receiving this review from. We followed
the advice of the experts and offered the only bride with a wedding dispute, a refund of 70% or a
reschedule with no additional charges. Both were declined. Every other bride affected by the pandemic
have rescheduled with no additional charges.
We also take extra care to make sure that the contract that will be signed or is already signed is available
whenever communication is taking place with our brides so everyone is on the same page. We are very
sorry that this bride did not feel that the communication standard was met.
We encourage anyone reading this review to come and see for yourselves that we have a beautiful
venue and have a highly motivated and professional staff.
