  Absolutely perfect sunset beach surprise proposal in Maui!

  Scott did an absolutely amazing job helping me plan, execute, and capturing a surprise beach proposal for my now fiance during our stay in Maui. He was extremely accommodating and responded very promptly to my questions and concerns. He even picked out the absolutely perfect location, which he visited the evening prior to ensure the proper lighting, lack of overcrowding, and scoped out an ideal hiding spot for himself so there were no hiccups the day of. On the day of the proposal, he arrived half an hour early to the spot and everything went way better than I could have ever dreamed! She was extremely surprised, didn't see him capturing the moment until 1-2 minutes after saying "YES" and then we did some other candid and staged pictures on the beach. I would absolutely recommend Scott for any events but especially surprise proposals! He was extremely professional throughout the process and was exactly what I was looking for, not to mention his prices were much more fair than many of the people I spoke with. Lastly, the photos look absolutely amazing and were ready for download very soon after our shoot. We are considering coming back for the wedding and will definitely be contacting Scott for that!!

  We would like to thank Scott Hughes for being our photographer on our wedding day.
  The photos he took are fabulous. Couldn't of asked for more. He was also very good at keeping in contact with us. He always answered e-mail's promptly and was more than willing to help in anyway we needed.
  He is a very personable man, with a great sense of humor, and was fun to work with. We definitely would recommend him.

  Scott was not only highly professional, but he filled in all the blanks for us. We had a small party, on the beach, and we really had little idea what pictures we wanted. He showed us some albums which helped a lot. The sunset silhouette pictures were spectacular and he had the timing down perfectly - to the second. It was a second marriage for both of us and not being in our 20's, we were perhaps not as unselfconscious as some. He put us completely at ease, he was so personable. He advised us how to get the pictures without leaving anyone/thing out yet not taking unnecessary shots. He took some really creative unique arty shots we wouldn't have thought of - like our slack key guitarists's guitar - a shot that should be on a cover. It's awesome and memorable. He has a fully flexible p,an and was easy to contact

  We got married at the Grand Wailea wedding chapel ten years ago and Scott was our photographer. The hotel recommended him and we met him for the first time right before the wedding. He captured all of the details and important moments of our wedding. We LOVED our wedding pictures! There were so many great shots that we ended up with a much bigger album because we couldn't narrow down the choices, so we got them all!! We have kept in touch through the years on facebook. We would love to get our family portraits taken by him when we return to Maui. I would highly recommend him when you need a photographer!

  Being out of state while booking a Maternity Beach photoshoot with Scott at Hughes Photographics was unbelievably streamlined and he was very efficient and prompt in responding to all my email questions about our options-suggestions of locations, outfit changes and just overall extremely friendly and professional. This was a huge relief and and I felt very comfortable in our decision to book with him.
  
  Our shoot was incredibly fun! My husband and I couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire session and much of that was due to Scott and his laid back and fun, yet professional approach. We got our online proofs in an extremely timely manner and they are absolutely amazing. He captured the scenery, sunset, my pregnant belly and the love my husband and I have for eachother and this unborn baby, incredibly well. I am so happy with our choice and can't wait to come back next year with this little baby- out of my belly- and do some family photos!!

  We are beyond satisfied with Hughes Photography! Scott was wonderful to work with, we had a blast during our photo shoot! The photos are beautiful and really tell the story of our amazing and memorable day! We will forever be thankful that we met Scott and he agreed to be our photographer!

  Scott is a professional, laidback photographer, who gets the job done well! He took great pictures throughout our wedding day, without being intrusive in the least. There were so many pictures where we don't even remember him or his assistant being anywhere near us! (Which was great for me, as I'm a little shy by nature, so felt right at ease) He offers many great wedding photography packages, including a website with prints (though expensive if you purchase prints, $24 for 4x6 or 5x7, and up), art albums, and even the high resolution files. His pictures are classic and timeless!
