Amazing wedding coordinator -- a must book!
Diana Hutchinson is an amazing wedding coordinator and is a must-book, especially if you're getting married at Rancho Los Cerritos in Long Beach. Diana helped us coordinate our vendors, brainstorm our ceremony, tweak our layout, and helped us achieve perfectly our vision for our wedding!
On top of her acumen in ensuring a picture-perfect wedding, Diana made sure we were taken care of, including fixing my wife's bustle when it was damaged during the first dance, getting us plates and appetizers even before our guests had them, and packed up all of our supplies in respective vehicles after the wedding.
Multiple family members on both of our sides, including my wife's father (who officiated and officiates many weddings), commented on Diana's immense professionalism, kindness, and savvy.
We had a perfect wedding and Diana was the mastermind behind it all! Thank you so much Diana. Perfection!
Diana had incredibly clear communication with us and was super flexible with what we wanted. She laid out exactly what we needed to do and when we needed it done all while being so friendly and pleasant. She helped us format the whole wedding layout and recommended amazing photographers to capture the day! Absolutely amazing
My venue required a wedding coordinator/planner and their preferred vendor was Diana of Hutchinson Weddings. I cannot say enough good things about this woman. We went with partial planning and she was helpful all along the way. She was great at responding to emails, always there to give her insights or opinions should you ask for them, and she took our vision of what we wanted and made it into a reality. Best Day Of Our Life!
We got married this August and our wedding was the best day of our lives, thanks to Diana!
From the first day we met her all the way to the big day, Diana made the whole planning process so easy and stress free. She was always available to answer every little question and we are so grateful for that.
Diana made our venue look so beautiful and she took care of all our vendors as well. All we had to do was show up, get married, and enjoy the party! We cannot thank and recommend Diana enough!We got married this August and our wedding was the best day of our lives, thanks to Diana!

Diana and her team are absolutely amazing!! Diana is so easy to work with, so flexible. She responds quickly, checks in regularly, has vendor and hotel information if requested, and has a lot of experience so it was easy to trust her when it came to anything. She took my vision and made it a reality, it seemed effortlessly. Our big day went so smoothly and she did everything for us to make sure we just focused on each other. We were married at one of the Hutchinson Wedding venues (The Griffith House) in May, and I have to say they were amazing to work with! We started off working with Diana, and then transitioned to working with Amy as our primary coordinator. From the beginning these amazing ladies assured us that our wedding would turn out the way we wanted and that's exactly what we got. The Griffith House is an absolutely beautiful venue that really captured the feeling we wanted for our wedding--relaxed, but still elegant and so much fun! We were able to have complete say in our wedding, from our vendors, to set up--every tiny little detail we were able to plan, and on the day Amy made sure that everything was to our specifications. As a bride with probably too many questions, Amy showed the utmost patience and always gave me an incredibly prompt response to anything I asked of her. From set up in the morning, to handling crises during the wedding, to clean up at night, there wasn't anything that Hutchinson weddings didn't handle. Thank you so much Amy, Joy and Diana for everything you did for us, for our families, and for making our wedding so beautiful. We had our wedding ceremony outside on the grass in a beautiful area under a large tree. Our photos turned out to be so beautiful! They do have a church on property as well as a small chapel, but we chose to have this portion outdoors. Myra is the on-site coordinator and she is very responsive and great at answering all questions. Pastor Jim (the required officiant for the venue) is very sweet and we received alot of compliments about his style as an officiant. We had our wedding ceremony inside the larger chapel, which fit our 100+ guests comfortably and could've easily sat more. The reception we had on their garden area and it was beautiful! The staff that helped the day of coordination and back and forth emails from the months leading up to the wedding were amazing! My husband and I we lucky enough to get married at one of the venues Diana coordinates. It was such a blessing to have her help throughout the whole process. She is very knowledgeable with lists of resources. She was readily available when we had a question over the phone or had a meeting in-person. She is friendly and easy to deal with. I was delighted to find Hutchinson Weddings to coordinate my wedding at Harborside, Newport Beach, CA. I live in Utah, so planning from a few states away was very daunting! Diana was always quick to respond and listen to exactly what I wanted. She gave several vendor suggestions and set up all of the meetings we needed when we were in town to visit and make wedding plans.
Diana always checked in to see if she could help if we hadn't been in touch for a bit. She also validated all of my pre-wedding worries and never made me feel like a crazy bride ;). My husband and I had such a wonderful experience working with Diana and her husband on our wedding. They both went above and beyond anything we could have ever dreamed of. The whole process with them was wonderful. Diana helped us get set up with our dessert vendors and found us great prices. She also gave us ideas for rehearsal dinner restaurants, which we loved and used! We did much of the pre-day planning and projects ourselves, but really wanted someone who we could trust to take care of the flow and day-of things. Diana did this and more. Everyone was so pleasant and down-to-earth, were organized, had great ideas when we needed problem-solving, were always there to make sure we knew where we had to be (!), and just lent a wonderful and easy-going feel to our wedding. Not to mention, The Ahlswede House itself was unique and absolutely beautiful. Our guests were all so complimentary of our wedding and Diana, and they all raved about having such a fun time - some said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! My sister was married here last month. It is a beautiful venue and the event planner went above and beyond what any of us could have ever expected! Most of the last minute problems that would usually ruin this special day were promtly taken care, which was a huge relief to my sister and the entire wadding party and family. I especially enjoyed the lighting in the trees and the amazing view of the Long Beach Harbor. Great outdoor venue in Southern California!!My sister was married here last month. It is a beautiful venue and the event planner went above and beyond what any of us could have ever expected! The Ahlswede House is the most amazing venue! The house looks like something out of a storybook. The attention to details and beauty of the home made for a perfect backdrop to our wedding. We got married under the giant peppertree at sunset with twinklelights and candles in old mason jars hanging from the branches. The on-site coordinator, Diana is wonderful! She is so on the ball and extremely creative. She had the most wonderful centerpiece ideas and I felt like she was really listening to me. She got to know us and treated us like old friends, which made our special day even more special. The Griffith House was so incredibly beautiful. It also includes catering, rentals, lighting, and much more. Myra, the venue manager, will help your dream come true. She was so helpful in answering questions and helping with the vendors. She also will help you immensely on the day-of. She even kept guests away from us while we were eating dinner at the wedding. She is so flexible and completely amazing. I would recommend the Griffith House to anyone, and it is largely because of her.The Griffith House was so incredibly beautiful. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony here on 10/11/14. I just have to say.. our wedding was perfect!
First of all, when we we searching for the venue, I did a tiresome search on garden reception areas near the Long Beach area. There were many cute places, but some were way out of our price range and/or were not flexible about bringing in our own vendors (my husband and I wanted to have Korean catering at our wedding since it tastes so good!). After I looked through the Griffith House/FCCA websites, I found out that not only did this site have the lighted garden reception area that I dreamed of, but it also allowed us to bring in our own caterers and it was just steps away from a chapel site that could fit our large guestlist of 300 (my husband wanted to get married inside a church). Once we previewed the site in person, we knew this place was the one!
The chapel is short but wide. We liked how the chapel was shaped because it allowed the whole group to have a good view of us (and I liked how I didn't have to walk a nerve-wracking mile down the aisle!). Some decor was provided, but not much was needed other than some flowers. We would recommend however, that they improve on their sound tech.
The reception area was absolutely GORGEOUS! We had our cocktail hour while the sun was still up, so all our guests were able to see the luscious greenery and the kids were able to run around and play. Once the reception started, the sun started to set, which created such a beautiful view. And when the sun actually set, the lights went on and it was stunning. We had so many friends and family say how pretty our venue was. I could have not agreed more.
