I cannot express in words how absolutely AMAZING our experience was at the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria. We worked with the Catering Manager, Lizeth Jaramillo (Liz) who was an angel during the ENTIRE process. We were supposed to be getting married at another venue, and about 3 months before our wedding, we found out that venue could not accommodate our guest count, and were completely distraught, until we met Liz. Changing your venue 3 months before your wedding is by no means an easy transition, but Liz made it so easy AND enjoyable.
Liz and the staff at the Hyatt were beyond accommodating. Any request that we had, she would find a way to make it happen. There was not a single time that I asked Liz a question that she told me "No" flat out. She would always say, "let me work on that for you" or "let me figure out how to make this happen," and she would do so with a SMILE! The service we received at the Hyatt made it an absolutely pleasure for us to have our wedding reception there. We felt as though our wedding was a pleasure, not a burden, as our previous venue had made us feel.
Our guests are still talking about how delicious ALL of the food was at the reception (hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and late night snack). The ballroom was absolutely beautiful. With a guest list of 350, we did not expect the room to be so spacious, but it was absolutely perfect. The dance floor was perfectly placed and spacious as well. We had lots of guests stay the night at the hotel and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay as well.
We truly had the wedding of our dreams at the Hyatt, and we could not have done it if we did not have the support of Liz and the staff. I have never been to a wedding where the guests had ZERO complaints about the food, or the alcohol, or the venue itself, but ours was so perfect, we have received NOTHING but compliments, and requests for referrals for upcoming galas and other weddings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENUE.I cannot express in words how absolutely AMAZING our experience was at the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria. As we looked around the galleria area for our wedding (300 persons)…we came across this venue from our wedding planner. WE GOT LUCKY! The hotel itself is only over a year old, so with the brand spanking new interior and décor, we also received the professionalism of Hyatt. GREAT LOCATION (next door to Galleria), GREAT VENUE (Huge Ballroom w/ all the bells and whistles), AND GREAT STAFF! The manager, Liz Jaramillo was more than amazing! She has every detail nailed down: answered any question my wife and I had, provided personal service (in person and phone) pretty much 24/7, and provided cool new ideas for us to utilize for our guests. Our wedding would not have been so smooth, extravagant, and well ran without Liz’s help.

If you're looking for a modern, new and different venue in the Houston area, I highly recommend you check out the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria. I booked the venue right after seeing the space, as I loved the modern feel to the room which went perfectly with my decor aesthetic. Booking it was a gamble being that they were new in town, but our wedding weekend was a fabulous experience for many reasons. The set up day of was absolutely beautiful, from the swan napkins and the swirl tables, to the stages they built. The food was so delicious, and I rarely like wedding food. The chef met me personally and gave me menu recommendations. Our coordinator helped us customize a menu for a reasonable price -- 4 courses and an open bar were included and a late night bite. Very few ballrooms hold the capacity the Hyatt does, meaning the venue did not limit our guest list. The banquet staff was EXCELLENT - I cannot say that enough. They plated food when guests sat down so the food was warm and flipped the ballroom from ceremony to reception expeditiously. Our bridal ready suite had staff constantly coming in and checking on us, and they left us orange juice and champagne. Every staff member at the hotel was so nice from the valet to the club level, and everyone wanted to stay longer. The staff also kept the hotel bar open late so the guests could stay after the reception and spend more time with us. Never were we nickle and dimed by the Hyatt for plugs, added rooms, appetizers, etc. One thing the Hyatt could improve on is having consistent communication with the couple about the event - some staff turnover on their side made that difficult. Our event coordinators (Liz and Lori) who we were assigned last minute turned out to be all stars and had tons of awesome ideas for us. Our wedding turned out beautiful and perfect. While we were the first couple of our group to book the Hyatt, I'm certain we won't be the last.If you're looking for a modern, new and different venue in the Houston area, I highly recommend you check out the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria.
