I purchased my Scarlett denim corset with the plan for it to be a wonderful look for my rustic wedding. When I received it they had forgot my privacy panel and had to millions it to me which left me to find someone to install it. On my wedding day it look so beautiful we started pictures before the ceremony and about and hour into it I realized that the lace started to come one under my arms. Prior to the ceremony I had about 2 inches where the lace was detached. It continued to get worse to the point where I had at least 6 inches on each side come undone and I changed during my wedding Dance in fear that it would continue and people would see it. I wrote to the company and sent pictures. There only response was that I could send it back to have it fixed by them. I asked that they send a partial refund so I can have it fixed appropriately and they refused stating they have never had an issue like this and it must have been due to my sweating and deodorant. They refused to offer any refund even though I have told them the cost of repair to have it done locally and they expect me to pay to have it shipped to them for them to fix along with insisting that it is my fault for sweating. Any other dress maker would have offered some reimbursement for the dress coming apart and for the fact that I was not even able to stay in it my whole wedding.

    I Do In Denim's reply:

Below is our 5th & final email to Chelsey after 4 attempts at rectifying the situation (pics available upon request):
Chelsey, First things first, it is of utmost importance that we clarify a critical point in our discussions thus far. You repeatedly refer to the corset as "falling apart". This is a false statement. The corset's structure & integrity are clearly intact as shown in all of your photos. The "falling apart" you refer to is simply two small 6" areas of surface lace trim that came unglued specifically from your underarm areas due to excessive perspiration, which again is clearly seen in the pics, extending several inches down the sides of the corset. This is an irrefutable fact.
Regardless of this, we are truly sorry this happened. We're a small family business that takes tremendous pride in our work and yours is the ONLY corset in our history that this has happened to. However, any rational person must acknowledge that there are certain circumstances out of the control of the creator of any article of clothing, bridal or otherwise, and this is definitely one of them. As such, we will not simply send you a cash refund, nor would any other bridal store that you could have purchased from. Our offer to mend free of charge, which you repeatedly refused, was much more than you would have received from any other bridal boutique.
Regarding your threat of writing a bad review if we fail to respond exactly as you wish: we have been in business for over 7 years & have NEVER had a negative review. Still, if you feel making negative remarks against us is justified, it's certainly your right to do so. Please know, however, that we will defend ourselves against any unjust complaint by posting the photos showing the true context of your issue, as well as our offer to mend the corset for free, even though 4 months had passed since it was last in our hands.
We are sorry that things have ended on a sour note, but we wish you all the best.
