First vendor, best vendor
I knew I wanted to get married at the Inn at Pleasant Lake even before I was engaged (due to my husband's family history in the area) so we booked them first and WOW did they not disappoint. If food is one of your primary requirements, you have to consider IPL, because Bryan (the chef) knocked it out of the park. We wanted something different and so he worked with us to add a 4th entree choice of venison - which I had, and it was just as gourmet as the filet my husband had. The space itself was gorgeous, of course, with a ceremony on the lawn overlooking the lake, and the reception under a tent that felt both spacious and cozy. This is definitely more of an all-service venue, which we liked from a planning perspective and Courtney and MaryCarol helped us put together a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding day that went absolutely perfectly. The wedding party and some friends also stayed in the inn Friday and Saturday nights, the bridal party got ready there, and so the care and professionalism of the entire staff was SO appreciated for the entire weekend to feel like a dream come true. I really can't say enough good things about our experience both at IPL and their sister location at the New London Inn, and highly recommend them for a couple looking for true NH elegance.I knew I wanted to get married at the Inn at Pleasant Lake even before I was engaged (due to my husband's family history in the area) so we booked them first and WOW did they not disappoint. Excellent Catering & Hotel Experience
Inn at Pleasant Lake catered our rehearsal dinner (held at the barn on their property), our wedding (held at The Fells), and our wedding brunch (held in the dining room on their property), and we could not have been happier with the results!
The atmosphere at IPL is fantastic. If you’re looking to use their barn for an event, you couldn’t find a more charming space - the way they’ve decorated with lights and drapery means that the place hardly needs any more adornment. The warm-toned lighting gives the space a cozy, inviting feel. I would highly recommend this space for a wedding or party!
Bryan, the chef, did a spectacular job crafting a delicious menu for each event that fit the mood we wanted. We had relaxed but upscale tapas for the rehearsal dinner - everyone raved about the scallops in particular! We were aiming for approachable elegance for the wedding dinner, and he nailed that too. The frozen grape intermezzo was the perfect way to make the dinner just that little bit more elegant. And brunch was the perfect, classic menu you’d hope for the day after a wedding, with some truly decadent brioche French toast. Bryan is so very talented, and we look forward to eating his food again some time at Oak and Grain Restaurant!
We (along with a good portion of our wedding guests) also stayed at the Inn itself for the weekend. On top of the cozy, welcoming atmosphere, the rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and just the perfect place to relax and wind down after a busy day. Every room is unique and has its own set of charms to it. While we didn’t take advantage of many of the amenities outside of the Inn (due to a very busy wedding weekend!), I will say the views looking out over the lake in the morning are nothing short of amazing. There’s also a number of parlors on the first floor, and patios outside, which are a perfect spot to relax with friends and family.
Finally, this review would not be complete without mentioning the kind and accommodating staff of IPL. The servers at our wedding events and the staff at the inn’s front desk were wonderful and welcoming to us and all of our guests. We worked closely with Courtney and MaryCarol to plan the wedding weekend and the menu, and they were both so great before, during, and after the wedding. Our every need was anticipated and met.
In short, we were thrilled to have chosen IPL to be such an integral part of our wedding, and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Outstanding!
We had our daughter's wedding celebration at the Inn at Pleasant Lake, and we could not have been happier! We rented the entire inn from Friday until Monday. We all enjoyed an incredible five course dinner and lovely brunch the next day. After the wedding night dinner, we were able to continue the fun by dancing in the barn. The Inn is MAGICAL... beautifully appointed with lovely touches and scrumptious food. On the celebration day, we hiked, canoed, paddle-boarded, and swam... knowing that all the details of our event were being expertly handled. We had our daughter's wedding celebration at the Inn at Pleasant Lake, and we could not have been happier! My husband and I, along with our guests, can't say enough amazing things about our wedding at the Inn at Pleasant Lake. It far surpassed our expectations and then some. The process of planning our wedding was seamless which is more than any bride could ever ask for. Scott and Jennifer, the lovely owners/innkeepers and their staff provided us with such hospitality, warmth, and kindness which added to our amazing wedding stay at the Inn. Our wedding dinner was phenomenal courtesy of Chef Brian- hats off to you sir. His before presentation of our 5 course meal was a knock your socks off, out of this world preamble for our meal. The food did NOT disappoint. Every little detail, including the deep history of the Inn (built in the late 1700's), a morning canoe ride on Pleasant Lake, my flowers, the photos, wine, views, and even down to the sheets on the bed, was perfection. We highly recommend this Inn for any couple to tie the knot. You won't be disappointed, we can promise you that.My husband and I, along with our guests, can't say enough amazing things about our wedding at the Inn at Pleasant Lake. We absolutely loved our wedding and stay at the beautiful Inn at Pleasant Lake. We came all the way from Florida to have our wedding there. The Inn and grounds are gorgeous and were the perfect back drop for our special day. The owners, Jen and Scott, went above and beyond to accommodate all our and our guest's needs. The ceremony was picture perfect and went off without a hitch. The 5 course dinner, which was created by chef Brian, was phenomenal and beyond our expectations. Our room was very clean, extremely cozy, comfortable and perfect for us! We would highly recommend the Inn at Pleasant Lake to any couple looking for the perfect destination for their wedding or just a romantic getaway. The Inn at Pleasant Lake was fantastic! The food was amazing and they were so great to work with. My husband's Dominican family stayed at the Inn for a couple of nights and said that they felt completely at home and that the service was amazing.
The Inn did 3 brunches, a rehearsal dinner, and the reception for us all in the same weekend! The food and service at every event was amazing (ask for Pommes Dauphinois, yummy potatoes which are out of this world!). The chef, Brian, researched Spanish food and came up with empanadas and marinated flank steak and pulled pork fajitas for the rehearsal dinner. Everything was fabulous! The Inn at Pleasant Lake was fantastic! The food was amazing and they were so great to work with. Beautiful venue for our small destination wedding.
The Inn at Pleasant Lake is a beautiful location to celebrate your wedding day. My daughter was looking for an intimate wedding with food and lodgings for our party of twenty and Pleasant Lake had everything she was looking for. The staff was responsive, friendly and professional. Julia, the event coordinator was so sweet, she made our stay more than we could have hoped. She was always available, responsive to our needs and many questions. The rooms were beyond amazing, the Inn itself called to my love of historical buildings with understated modern improvements. One word of caution, if you have trouble going up and down stairs, this is not the place for you. I can go on about the grounds, food and hospitality but you need to experience it for yourself. The Inn at Pleasant Lake is a beautiful location to celebrate your wedding day. Tranquil and romantic property
We chose this location because booking all 10 rooms for two nights allows you to reserve the entire Inn and grounds for the weekend. Having a private event like that was incredible. Super intimate with our guest count of 60 and incredibly tranquil. The food was also amazing - their chef consistently prepares delicious dinners and was just as ready to do so for our wedding.
