Rabbi Stephanie is wonderful! She recently officiated my wedding. Stephanie was a great choice for us, since my partner's patrilineal Jewish descent is not recognized in all Jewish denominations. Stephanie helped us understand and make informed decisions about how to include elements of a Jewish wedding, was open to modern and egalitarian iterations, and helped all our guests to feel included in these traditions.
We did a few weeks of counseling on a variety of topics and Stephanie included so many of the personal details and stories from that time in our ceremony. That level of personalization meant a lot to us (and to guests, who told us so!)! would recommend Rabbi Stephanie without hesitation! -

Rabbi Stephanie exceeded all expectations for an officiant. We are an interfaith couple, and we were dead-set on having a friend or family member perform our wedding ceremony because we wanted it to be personal. We couldn't find the right person for the job, though, and eventually became open to a third-party. Through the luck of a Google search, we found Rabbi Stephanie. I can't say enough about her as a person and our experience with her. Part of the arrangement was regular FaceTime calls to get to know each other. Through these calls, we gained a better understanding of ourselves and our relationship, but we also became friends with Rabbi Stephanie. By the time our wedding came around, we had the friend we'd always wanted to officiate our wedding.
The service itself was perfect. In the time leading up to the wedding, Rabbi Stephanie went through every detail of the service - what we wanted and didn't want. The result was a service that was uniquely ours; it hit just the right amount of Jewish tradition without going overboard for our guests that weren't Jewish. Countless wedding guests made it a point to tell us how beautiful the service was and how great Rabbi Stephanie was. Even my impossible-to-please Jewish mother was thrilled!
It was difficult saying goodbye to Rabbi Stephanie after the service. We don't live in Columbus and felt we were missing out on an opportunity to hang out regularly with our new friend. I hope we are able to at least facetime and maybe see her next time we visit.

Rabbi Stephanie Covitz was more than just the Rabbi who married us, she was an integral part of our entire wedding ceremony! We absolutely loved working with her! Her process is enjoyable from start to finish. She is funny, unbiased, and incredibly intelligent. We did premarital counseling with her, and to be honest, we were both kind of dreading it. But as we started the process, we realized very quickly that with Rabbi Stephanie leading the counseling, we had nothing to worry about, and it actually ended up being so much fun!!! She really does listen and provide great advice, without inserting any of her own bias. And did I mention she is funny? I mean really!! Every time we "met" (it was mostly virtual), we sent the hour laughing. She really makes you feel good, and that is very important for someone who is leading the ceremony on your wedding day! We were totally at ease knowing she was up there with us!! She really is the best! -

We used Rabbi Stephanie for our wedding in Chillicothe, Ohio. I am Jewish and my husband is not. She was recommended to us by another Rabbi who was unable to perform our ceremony. Since neither myself nor my husband live in Ohio, the Rabbi was able to set up video calls for our pre-wedding counseling sessions. She was very flexible with her schedule and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed the survey she gave us and the counseling she took us through to go over our answers. Rabbi Stephanie took the time to come to Chillicothe for our rehearsal and patiently waited with us as rain delayed our ceremony the next day. Only a small handful of our guests were Jewish so she did a great job in explaining the traditions and rituals of the ceremony. We had so many compliments about how sweet and personal the ceremony was. We would definitely recommend Rabbi Stephanie to any interfaith couple. -

Rabbi Covitz was such a blessing to have by our side through the marriage prep process. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming enough but her focus was on the marriage, communication, what happens AFTER the wedding. She is kind, compassionate, a great communicator and made our ceremony so special.
