  Beyond amazing!

  Justin and Veronica were absolutely wonderful to work with! Justin made everyone comfortable, was so funny, and still so professional. My entire wedding party was so happy to be working with him and found him hilarious. I would work with them over and over again and recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer. Absolutely LOVED our experience.

  Photos that will last a lifetime

  My husband and I were fortunate enough to have found Justin to do our wedding! When we met Justin at Lake of Isles Wedding Showcase, we instantly knew he would be the perfect photographer for our wedding day. My husband and I never had professional photos taken of us before, so at our engagement shoot, we were very nervous. We shortly realized how easy it can be, all thanks to Justin. From start to finish, Justin was professional, organized and caring. In addition, my husband never really enjoyed the thought of taking pictures. However, my husband says now how thankful he is for Justin and how he made the picture taking fun and enjoyable and not awkward or weird. On our wedding day, Justin didn't miss a beat. We actually had our guests come up to us asking if we knew him personally and if he was part of our families. This goes to show how caring and kind he is. He also isn't afraid to get on the dance floor and catch some awesome moments which we loved! If we had to do this over again, we would choose Justin every time!

  Absoulte best photography! Highly recommend!

  Justin and his wife, Veronica are incredible!! They are so kind, genuine, and amazing at what they do! They know exactly what to do and made us feel so comfortable! They are professional, accommodating, and timely. Since day 1 and to our wedding day, they were accessible, available for comments, and very responsive. They make sure to capture everything and more! Their work is superb and you will not be disappointed. Look no where else, they are AMAZING!!!!!!

  The Perfect Photographer

  We could've have gotten through our wedding day without the help of Jacek. The photos he took were amazing and he never missed out on a priceless shot. We have been looking at our photos constantly since receiving them. Not only did Jacek take amazing photos, but he also helped guide us throughout the day and make it so that we never had to stress about where to be and when or about gathering family and friends together. He even guided us on how to cut our cake (something we didn't even think out until we had to do it). I would recommend this team to anyone, they truly made our wedding perfect!

  Amazing Talent!

  Justin is an incredible photographer! We were so impressed with not only his work but his personality. We decided not to have an engagement picture session, which made us a little nervous how we would feel the day of with the camera, but Justin truly made us feel comfortable throughout the wedding pictures! Justin's wife, Veronica, was his assistant shooter for our wedding and the two of them were not only great at their job, but really fit in with our friends and family! Their personalities and talent are wonderful! Justin has great ideas and we relied on his opinion for locations. We are happy we listened to his advice, as the back drops of our pictures are gorgeous, especially the lighting. We quickly got a preview of our photos and I cannot wait to see more! They are breath-taking and so many people have told us how beautiful our pictures came out. We, without doubt, recommend Justin!

  Wedding Memories

  Justin did our engagement photos and we were so floored by our experience with him we were more than happy to book him for our wedding photos! Justin and his crew aren’t afraid to try new things or to get their hands dirty when it comes to getting the perfect shot. Justin is so flexible and was able to switch our location for our photos just days before our wedding day when I was starting to panic about July heat! Best of all, Justin suggested our videographer, Fran Gagnon Films, and it was so awesome to see them all work together to make a day feel so seamless. We are so excited to see our pictures!

  The best photographer in the state of CT!

  Let me start of by saying that booking Justin of J. Benson Photography was THE best decision I made while planning my wedding. He was recommended by a co-worker and after seeing his work I booked a meeting immediately. After I met him, I knew I could not use another photographer to shoot my wedding. He is the only vendor who my husband and I had the immediate connection and comfort with. He always worked around my schedule for meetings, and made me more at ease with every meeting. His photography is out of this world. We are so lucky to have been able to book such an charismatic and talented photographer. He made the engagement session fun, and the pictures are so beautiful. I have only seen my sneak peek from the wedding so far, and its magical, but I can not wait to see the rest of my wedding day photos. He is putting together a photo book for us and I know its going to be amazing. The way he shoots his photos and knowledge of lighting is outstanding. I am so thankful for every ounce of work he has put in to make our photos as gorgeous as they are. There is no need to look at any other photographers, Justin is the perfect one. I wish I could describe the relief I felt when he showed up to the bridal suite on the wedding day. During a super stressful time, he showed up and I knew everything was going to fine.   There is really no need to write a long review for this. The reviews are in the photos! Justin is easy going, always looking to try something new with different shots, and has a unique way of capturing every moment of your event. Honestly, he should probably be charging much more than he is for the extremely high quality service he provides. Regardless, it is well worth it. He posted about 40 pictures a week after the wedding as a sneak peak and we cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures! All of our friends and family were blown away by the quality. You will not be disappointed with Justin!

When we chose our venue one of the wedding coordinators showed us a photo he had taken from a wedding there and we loved it so much we just knew it had to be him.   Justin is an absolute, unparalleled artist! Not only is he a pleasure to work with, but his work is breathtakingly beautiful. He is so adept at connecting with people and putting them at ease, and somehow is able to do that while capturing the most beautiful moments! During both our engagement and wedding shoots, Justin did a fabulous job at giving us directions while still intuiting the angles and photos that made us feel comfortable. On the day of our wedding, it was so nice to have already worked with Justin, because we were able to jump right in without wasting precious sunlight! From our “getting ready” pictures, to our first look and family pictures, to pictures during the ceremony and reception, he and Nick captured every important moment. I woke up the next morning without a single picture on my phone, because I knew that our photos were in such good hands with Justin and thus I could focus on being in the moment!   Justin was an incredible photographer. When we met him for an interview, he was our 2nd interview. After the interview we were walking to the car and I said to my now wife (so we are going to use him right?!?). His presentation was incredible and he had a perfect answer for every question we asked him.
  
  He offered us a complimentary engagement photo shoot, and the most important part of the shoot was per Justin, "I want to have this shoot so that I can explain all of my terminology to you before the wedding, so we can be as efficient on the wedding day and not waste time having me try to explain how I want you to position yourselves, so you guys can get the most out of your big day!" I thought that was incredible insight and preperation that I highly appreciated. He also had a great website for pre-wedding ideas we could put as much insight as we wanted. He had a pre-wedding conversation with us for probably an hour to over all the details so we were all on the same page.
  
  Throughout the big day, he and his assistant were so professional and just plain light and fun to be around. They both were very helpful, and his assistant even helped some of my groomsmen with dressing lol. Throughout the big day Justin was always brainstorming ideas of new and creative ways to take advantage of the ballroom space we had to make memorable photos, and he wasn't afraid to get on the floor several times to make beautiful photos.
  
  Overall a great photographer and I would highly recommend him in the future for you photography needs!

  I hired Justin to photograph our 18 hours long Vietnamese wedding and he did an incredible job, I can't believe how much energy he has through out the day that energy really rub off on everyone around him and it make everyone very relax in front of the camera. I am a photographer myself and I used to live and work in Connecticut before moving down to Houston, TX and I actually have work with Justin as well as 30-40 other photographers in that area and Justin is simply one of the best. His technical skills with lighting (especially with off camera lighting) and camera skills are excellent and he is also very good at posing the bride and groom, wedding party, group shots so he very versatile in both photojournalism and formal portraiture which are both very important in wedding photography.

  Oh Justin!!!!! Not only am I the luckiest girl in being able to secure your services fairly last minute, we are just thrilled with the way the pictures look. You are a joy to work with and so fun.   If you are ready to make one of the best decisions of your entire wedding planning process, hire Justin! Finding the perfect photographer (that was actually worth what they were charging) was so important to us. We searched and searched, and we weren't satisfied... until we found Justin! As soon as we saw his work, we knew we wanted to meet him. As soon as we met him, we knew we had to hire him! He really is the best of the best. On our wedding day, Justin and his assistant Garrett were like 2 trusted friends capturing our day! Justin kept everyone relaxed and laughing all day, while staying professional and focused, and I loved having him there while the ladies and I got ready! He handled family portraits with ease and organization, and he made it possible for us to just relax and enjoy the day! We trusted him completely, and the sneak peek photos we got are stunning!   We used J. Benson Photography for our wedding in June 2016. Justin (owner/photographer) was amazing from start to finish. I could not be happier with the personal and quality service this company provided. Our wedding pictures were beautiful and absolutely worth every penny!!

  Justin was phenomenal throughout the whole process. He was able to help with answering all of my questions and planning out the timeframe of the whole day. On the day of the wedding he went above and beyond between the help he provided and the wonderful photos he captured.

  Justin was so personable we felt like old friends from the start. He would do anything to get the perfect shot and kept us entertained and at ease the whole time. The pricing was the most reasonable I could find. He and His colleagues were very professional. I would definitely recommend them!

  Perfectionist!

  Justin was an absolute joy to work with and his work is simply amazing. Our engagement photo shoot was really fun and he made the experience one of of fondest memories throughout the wedding process. We love the photos from our wedding and he is always looking for ways to try something new to get the best shot. He even took to the dance floor with us when we asked him to show off his flossing skills haha. I would definitely recommend working with Justin, just know that he is in high demand and at times, it takes some effort to get in contact with him. All in all, I promise you that his work is stunningly timeless.

  Horrible experience during our covid wedding

  I'm going to try to condense this to the best of my ability. But working with Justin has been THE MOST HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I think I have ever had with a business in my life. Though we had our wedding during COVID, and booked him from 2019- I found that he over promised and under delivered. Dont get me wrong, the photos actually came out okay for the most part, But the process to get them was the worst thing EVER. I think that Justin over booked himself and my husband and I waited 7 months to get our pictures, after multiple calls, texts, emails, and visits to his office to find him. It wasn't until I sent him a picture of his office door (showing we came to pay him a visit) did he respond to me after 3 months of not hearing a single thing from him. I was so angry and it was taking a toll on me because all I kept thinking was this man ran off with our thousands of dollars spent on our wedding photograph with nothing to show for it. I had to threaten him that I found an attorney to come after him and in a matter of 2 mins he responded and then sent over our picture an hour later. Not to mention, when he first sent over the pictures it was only 116 pictures of randomness. I tried to call him to let him know this couldn't be all the pictures and he literally sent me to voicemail. I had to leave a voicemail, then he responded via text "im in a meeting-oh the files got mixed up." I was so furious with his LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM, HE HAS HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS ESPECIALLY AS A BUSINESS OWNER, AND IS GREEDY ONLY FOR HIS MONEY!!! I would strongly urge those who are looking for a photographer to look elsewhere. Working with Justin is not worth the stress and frustration. There is no way this man should be in business anymore. If you cant do the job then be humble enough to know that. I was so patient with him and understanding of what is happening, especially regarding COVID-19 but he didnt give me the same grace back and pretty much left me to worry and stress.
