    Loved the strings! Monique was very easy to work with and very responsive. Instead of the traditional music, they were even able to work with me using pop music for the duet. Jax Strings was much cheaper in comparison to other string groups and definitely worth the cost! We loved the different touch it added to our ceremony.

    Jacksonville String Quartet was great! After researching about 4-5 different musicians in the area I decided to go with Jacksonville String Quartet because of their great reviews, reasonable price, and responsiveness. Anna was super easy to work with and always responsive to my questions. Even though I didn't chose to do this, they were willing to learn an extra song for the ceremony. I decided to go with a cellist and violinist and the combination was great.

    Anna played at our wedding on Amelia Island earlier this year. She was incredibly flexible and did a great job. I would recommend her to anyone. Her music was a beautiful touch to our ceremony and the guests loved it. She is someone I’ve known for a number of years and I think highly of her work and have a lot of respect for her.

    They were very professional in all our dealings. Easy to contact and discuss music choices with. Also - they are great at giving suggestions for those of us not well versed in classical music. They were on time and ready to play when they promised.
    I would absolutely work with this vendor again.

    I used the quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They were fabulous! They have a great list of musical choices and can mix things up with some newer stuff such as Cold Play and The Beatles. They were extremely professional and even added a song to the playlist per our request. You would definitely be in good hands with these guys!

    I dealt with Anna. She was great and prompt. These ladies played at my rehearsal dinner the night before and also did my ceremony music. They were talented and very professional. I highly recommend them for your event. They play beautiful music and can accommodate special requests! Thank you, Nancy (The bride)

    I used two of the girls (one of them was Anna) from the quartet for our wedding that was outdoors. They did a wonderful job and were priced very competitively. I recommend them to all of my brides as a wedding photographer now.

    We used the Jacksonville String Quartet (Duet, really) for our small 40-person wedding at the Pena Peck House in St Augustine. Anna was extremely responsive to emails, and very flexible when it came to the songs & the order of selections. They have a list of song suggestions to choose from, which really helped me, as I had no idea where to begin. Anna was also very helpful in selecting how many songs we needed to have played, as it was a small & simple ceremony. Anna (Cello) & Olivia (the Violinist, I believe) were barely noticed as they set-up during photos, but everyone noticed their amazing performances as soon as they started playing. We initially toyed with the idea of having just a soloist but my fiance convinced me to go with the duet as the music would sound more 'full'. I'm so happy we did - the music was absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments on the music & their performance - they were well worth it!

    My husband and I got married on April 16, 2011 at Jax Beach. We had Monique come out to play the violin for our ceremony. Not only was she prompt and professional but the music was lovely. I felt so wonderful walking out with the beautiful sounds of the strings floating on the breeze. Not only would I recommend the Jacksonville String Quartet to anyone else, I would definately use them again!

    Jacksonville String Quartet was the perfect touch to our Amelia Island wedding! Monique and the rest of the members were so professional and truly a pleasure to work with! Monique made the process of music selection and the finalization of last minute details a breeze as she was in constant contact with us throughout the planning process. Not only was the Jacksonville String Quartet very professional, but they were also so friendly. The ceremony music as well as the cocktail hour could not have been more perfect .. they sounded amazing! We received many compliments on their superb performance. Thank you, Jax String Quartet!

    Jacksonville String Quartet was a great choice for our wedding! We couldn't be happier!
    We only had a duet (violin and cello) playing during our wedding ceremony and one hour during cocktail. They are amazing musicians!
    We were so happy with their music and so were our guests!
    They are very talented musicians and very professional. They got at the wedding venue early like they promised and they started playing to our guests.
    I highly recommend Anna Wilson (cello) and Monique (violin) if you wish to have an amazing and sophisticated wedding ceremony/reception.

    Jax String Quartet was such a wonderful touch to our outdoor garden wedding at Palm Valley Gardens. Anna was absolutely wonderful to communicate with! The others in the group seem so sweet and the music was just beautiful from what I remember.... I was so nervous walking down the aisle with my Dad, I was hardly paying attention! That said, we got a lot of compliments on the ceremony music and I truly believe they are the best value in the region.

    The String Quartet ladies were great!!! I actually requested only 2 of the 4 instruments for my wedding ceremony, and they were very responsive to my request. They were professional, courteous, talented, and reasonably priced! I was able to give them my list of songs to play and they had no problems playing all 4 songs. Thanks for making my special day even more perfect!

    I highly recommend Jacksonville Wedding String Quartet. I communicated with Vanessa on and off over the past 5 months before our wedding to coordinate music. When I wasn't exactly sure what song I wanted, she provided a very extensive list of the music that they already had in their repertoire, which helped me narrow down my choices. When I wanted a song that they didn't have music for, they were able to recreate the song for a small fee. And it was AMAZING. The day of our wedding, the two violinists showed up early, and began playing, hit every queue, and were incredibly professional. After the ceremony, they discretely left. Communication is key in this business, and JWSQ nailed this! Every email I sent, was responded to if not immediately, within 24 hours (even weekends).

    My only regret with the Jacksonville String Quartet is that I didn't get to hear them play more. The venue's waiting area for the bridal party was too far away! The songs I did hear - processional and recessional - were executed to perfection. They even went above and beyond in the months leading up to the wedding to learn specific songs I wanted to have played during the seating time. The guests had great things to say about them! I wish they accepted paypay, or something other than a mailed check, but other than that one small thing I think they were amazing and highly recommend them!!

    DIDN'T SHOW UP ON MY WEDDING DAY!

    Confirmed time of 5p for a 530p ceremony...booked and paid nearly a year in advance and confirmed multiple times prior. Ceremony was delayed because we were trying to reach them. When we finally did, they had the wrong time and were nowhere near. There was no apology or empathy. A rainstorm cut our ceremony short since it was delayed and our guest got rained on. Thankfully, our DJ was able to find sound out to the beach. This company is completely unprofessional and nearly ruined my wedding day.

    Jacksonville String Quartet's reply:

    This is Brendan, the financial and marketing manager for Jacksonville String Quartet. I apologize for this tragedy as there was miscommunication between the client, the managers, and the players. The contract originally stated 6:30, however there was a time change via email. The contract should have been updated and resigned as we default to it for information. This never happens, and we have implemented new processes that would guarantee this never happening again. We know this is one of the most important days of your life, and this is not what we’re known for. Please let our other reviews speak for themselves. Clientele satisfaction is our #1 goal, and if we don’t deliver then a full refund is given. Inquire about us, and we could show you.
