Such talent! I fell in love with her use of natural light and the effortless way the photographs turned out. When we booked her she was prompt and professional and was excited to meet to go over what our envision was. Although she was flexible with what I had in mind, I fell in love with what I wasn't expecting in the end. I think that is what makes a true professional- to keep the balance of what the bride and groom want, but also taking the unexpected artistic shots that at the time I felt like I didn't want, but those are the photographs that are on the wall right now. Jacque takes the reigns of the busy times with wedding groups, and directs the traffic well. We have since used her with my newborn and family photos and couldn't be happier because everyone raves over how beautiful they turn out! Jacque was spectacular. She was very flexible in shaping an overall photography package that included travel and she had great vision at our wedding venue. All my friends and family commented on her amazing use of light and incredible talent for landscape pictures. We loved getting to know her at our engagement pictures and she was great at directing us without it being awkward.
We have since recommended her for our friends' wedding and another friend's engagements, and I know they loved her the same. She is a sweet soul, very professional, and incredibly talented! She has high demand, with appropriate turn-around times for prints.
I am thinking of using her for my prenatal pictures and any further photo opportunities in Salt Lake City!Jacque was spectacular. Jacque was absolutely awesome to work with and delivered absolutely beautiful images from our wedding day. When another wedding photographer cancelled on me, Jacque was so accommodating and was able to fill in. She even offered us a discount in order to come closer to the price of my previous photographer. She shot with both digital and film, which was awesome and even delivered a ton of physical image prints along with the digital files. We love Jacque Lynn Photography and Jacque herself even more. She did an amazing job at capturing and enhancing our vision during our engagement photos. She was a delight and knew exactly how to make us look our best. We had three venues (which turned into five) and three outfits with 40s, 50s, and 60s themes. She was very helpful and was patient with our venue and outfit changes. She directed us in the right way to bring our vision to fruition. The day of our wedding, we did photos outside the Salt Lake Temple. She directed the family in an orderly and effective manner. We all know how difficult directing large groups can be, however, she did so with finesse and control. She also help us find great locations around the temple that aren't typical of the LDS wedding. We have been pleased and overjoyed with our pictures and her great personality. Thanks!We love Jacque Lynn Photography and Jacque herself even more. Jacque was absolutely amazing to work with! From our first meeting she impressed me with professionalism and care for her clients. She is so much fun to work with and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She listened to exactly what we wanted and was extremely helpful. We ended up having to do bridals only a week before the wedding, and she was able to edit our pictures and get the canvas we wanted as soon as we needed it. We truly became friends and she made our wedding day so much fun! I cherish our pictures- they are the perfect representation of our day!Jacque was absolutely amazing to work with! Through the whole process she was always easy to communicate with and helped us through the times that could have been stressful. On the wedding day she was on time, full of ideas and ready to shoot whatever we asked. Both my fiance and I absolutely loved working with Jacque Lynn. She was sweet, professional, and talented. She worked with us throughout the process to know exactly what we wanted from our wedding photos, and everything from the engagements to the bridals to the day-of photos were exactly what we wanted. Because of Jacque Lynn, our wedding photos are something we will cherish forever. Despite some weather-related crises and having an indoor venue when it was supposed to be outdoor, Jacque rose to the occasion and created beautiful memories for us. Our wedding album is one of our most cherished possessions.
We loved Jacque's work so much, and clicked so well with her, that we have in fact hired her for several other shoots: she's done holiday portraits for us, senior portraits for my sister, and is all set to shoot my other sister's wedding this summer.
In short, we could not have been happier with our choice of photographer. I loved, loved, loved working with Jacque. She was so professional and her images were beautiful. I still swoon over my bridals and wedding pictures. I attended a wedding in January where another photographer just stood in the corner of the venue the whole time! I was in shock because at my wedding, Jacque knew how to take charge and didn't miss a beat with capturing the meaningful moments of the day. She was so kind and so helpful throughout the whole process of our wedding planning. She was timely when we shot my bridals and she was timely on the day of my wedding. The pictures were definitely pricey, but, they are treasures and I will cherish them forever! I also love that the editing isn't trendy, the images are so timeless. With that being said, I did have to wait a bit longer than I originally wanted to receive my photos but, I had a summer wedding and I know how crazy that season can be for photographers. I would also much rather have beautiful, high quality images and have the photographer take her time, than to receive images that I wasn't satisfied with. I would definitely recommend Jacque to anyone looking for a classy, talented, kind, personably and business oriented photographer.I loved, loved, loved working with Jacque. I found Jacque through a friend who had Jacque's blog on her website as one of her favorites. I needed someone local to do my bridals a couple of months before our wedding, as our wedding photographer was from out of state. Jacque was great about letting me know what my options were for pricing and a package just for bridals. Initially we set up a date to do them while my mom and matron of honor were in town. I did get a little stressed when I received an E mail from Jacque about two weeks before the bridals that she had been asked to photograph a wedding for someone the same day my bridals had been scheduled. Jacque was as flexible as she could be and offered to do them any other day. She drove t counties up to do the pictures, and we had a great time. She got so many great shots because of her professionalism and knack for fidning good lighting and places to shoot, I had so many options to choose from. I would recommend Jacque to other brides and also hope to get to work with Jacque more in the future if we have other needs for family pictures. Jacque was great to work with. I was just under alot of stress the day of our wedding. I didn't expect it to be a blizzard outside. I wish we had more time to take photos because I felt as though I didn't get enough images specifically bridal party and bridal images. My mom had even made a comment in regards to not taking photos at our house. It was also hard because my parents house is an hour away from our venue so I had to factor in drive time. I am sure the images will be lovely, I am just nervous to see them and hope there are enough! I think if I was to do it all over I would make my husband do a bridal session before the day of our wedding! I gave a 3.5 for responsiveness because being from California we are used to immediate response and I had to wait a few days to get answers to questions, which is no one's fault. We are just on a "need it yesterday" mentality here! Overall Jacque is great at what she does and will give you wonderful images in film and digital. Our photos from Jacque are beautiful. She does a great job coaching you and she is very efficient at managing groups for photos. That being said, we were disappointed overall with our experience. After our engagement shoot, we were very happy with Jacque as our photographer. She did a great job for us in the session, making it fun and spending a lot of time with us. Unfortunately, after the engagement shoot, we started noticing that Jacque is not very professional or organized.
She was late on every single deliverable from the date she said she would send them. Each time, we did not know she would be late until the day she promised came and went. Then, we got the excuse of why she would be late. Her reasons included: computer crashed, she had the flu, she just forgot, and twice she claimed that she sent me an email that I somehow never received. My Mom even had an issue when she purchased prints – the date Jacque told her to expect them passed, my Mom emailed and Jacque claimed that she sent them but they must have gotten lost, so she “sent another set”, and they arrived a week later. None of these misses caused her to break contract, but every time we expected pictures we were disappointed to wait longer.
At the wedding, she showed up 15 minutes late. In our consultation, she had told us we could expect about 500 photos, and we only got 424 (she later told us this was just an estimate). Her contract says photos will be delivered in 4-6 weeks, but it could take up to 8 in busy times. We tried to negotiate with her to commit to 4-6 weeks, but she wouldn’t and said that she usually delivers in the 4-6. Our photos ended up taking the full 8 weeks with no communication during that time of when we could expect them.
As I write this review, we still have not gotten our prints we ordered, and we were told we would have them a full 2 weeks ago. I truly felt like we must have been the least important client she had for her to keep forgetting about us.Our photos from Jacque are beautiful. Poor communication
While we were happy with the photos we eventually received, they arrived 15 weeks after our wedding. Her contract stated a MAX turn around time of 12 weeks. During that time there was zero communication from her. When I reached out at 11 weeks regarding the status of the photos it took a week for her to respond back. Each subsequent response from Jacque took a minimum of 5 days to a week. As a way to apologize for the delayed photos we were offered a 20x24" print of our choosing. We responded back with the photo of our choosing but never received it. There was no follow up email addressing any problems or delays with the print. It has now been 5 months and counting. Overall we were very disappointed with the lack of communication throughout this process and felt like we were not a priority.While we were happy with the photos we eventually received, they arrived 15 weeks after our wedding. Please do not go with Jacque Lynn. I have had so much frustration, stress and disappointment with her. We really wanted to work with her and in the beginning she was a gem, then as soon as the wedding day hit is was all one big headache from there.
She was LATE. Our photos never recovered from this. People left before she got there.
Her equipment was dirty and the photos we originally received had dirty spots all over them.
Proofs were online late.
No explanation of print credit to our account and my credit card was charged when we tried to order pictures (yet another hassle I still am working out)

In response to the above review - I do not feel it to be a true or accurate statement. It turned out my style was not a great match for this bride, she needed a more traditional style in my opinion. Shara was a sweetheart and truly was so understanding on her wedding day when I got stuck in a car pileup on the freeway and was 5 minutes late to the temple - so its a little sad to me that she would respond this way online. It was truly a pleasure to work with this couple on their wedding day, and Im sorry it wasn't a great match for them! I pride myself on the experience my clients have. -
