  Truly an artist. Tisha from tcmakeup did my makeup and Jared took my portraits. Needless to say this is a dynamic duo. The work turned out beautifully!

  Jared was amazing to work with. Although I had little contact with him before the wedding my wedding coordinator told me he was very prompt and very organized.
  He captured all of the great moments and was able to capture my beautiful venue. They new what they were doing and were very prompt and effective at getting the shots that we wanted.

  We hired Jared for our destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at Las Caletas in May 2011. I came into contact with him on Best Destination Wedding Forum when I saw some photos of his work he had posted. I loved the way he used natural light to make his pictures, and the people in them, look so beautiful, and the poses were creative. He is also very good at capturing small, interesting details, and colors, which I love. He was quick to reply to all my questions and concerns and even suggested we talk on the phone once to get to know eachother since I lived in a different city and never met him in person. Being a destination wedding, or any wedding for that matter, a bride can get very nervous closer to the wedding day about people not responding quickly enough or not showing up. Jared was very good at keeping in contact and sending me forms to fill out about the type of photos we wanted, people's names, locations, etc.
  
  Once we finally met in Mexico, you could instantly tell that he is a genuinely nice person. He is very professional but also laid back. Our wedding was unique in that it was only accessible by boat. My husband, his groomsmen, and Jared came over to the wedding site on a very small boat ahead of time, and he even took pictures while trying to hold on while the boat was moving! This was important to me because I got to see my husband and his "preparation" for our big moment, since I was already there getting ready.
  
  Throughout the rest of our wedding day's festitivites, Jared was everywhere, getting every shot, but was never in the way. He could get the attention of our distracted crowd but was not rude about it. Even though I couldn't see what the shots looked like, I could tell they were going to be very creative in how he posed us. He did an awesome job for never being able to go to the site beforehand and scoping it out. He definetly made sure that we got a ton of shots, but did not hold us too long from our guests at dinner. I also liked how he would pause, look at the picture, smile, and tell us how good it looked. That's reassuring when you are posing! :) He was fun and made us feel very comfortable. I would say the pictures are a mix of formal posed and artistic "real life", which is exactly what I wanted. We also did a trash the dress session the next day, along with more "bridal" shots of me in my dress. We had a lot of fun and Jared was instrumental with us getting through the day. We had to check out of our hotel at noon (we were staying somewhere else for our honeymoon), he helped pack up our stuff quickly, fixed my dress a little (cause it was already almost "trashed" from the night before), and he also let us hang out in his room and rest (tired from the wedding the night before) while we waited to be able to check into our other hotel that we were going to do the TTD session. That is above and beyond service if you ask me!!
  
  Now for the pictures, they are amazing and I have gotten so many compliments on them. Like others have said, not only do we have "getting ready", "first look", ceremony, dinner, details, reception, and trash the dress photos, we also have beautiful photos of the wedding site and of our beautiful hotel that I really do appreciate having, because it was our vacation photos also! In total I think we have 800 photos on a cd with printing rights. He also makes albums.
  
  All in all, we walked away with awesome memories, amazing photos, and a new friend. :) Thanks so much Jared!

  Jared is an absolutely wonderful photographer!! He shot our wedding in May and we could not be happier with how the photos turned out. Some great things about Jared: 1. He is ALWAYS quick to respond when you contact him. If I had a question, I would send him an email and he would always reply by the end of the day. He answered every question thoroughly and made sure we knew we could contact him any time if we had any other questions. We were never confused about the process because he kept us very well informed! 2. A wedding is a BIG deal, but Jared makes his work seem so effortless!! He is VERY calm, collected, and joyful. He just made us feel so at ease!! Everything was so organized! We had no worries whatsoever about our wedding photography because we knew Jared had everything under control, which made our wedding so enjoyable!!! 3. His photos are AMAZING. He gives you a DVD with all of the edited high resolution photos (we got 650!!!!) with full printing release. My husband and I love looking through the pictures and reminiscing on our special day. We are so thankful that we had Jared to capture our wedding day!! I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is looking for a photographer for any occasion. He was such a joy to work with!!!

In the end I chose Jared because of two key reasons - he is extremely talented with natural light, where there is always plenty of (and sometimes TOO much of!) at a destination wedding. Secondly, his style was consistent through all his photos - I love photos that are slightly dreamlike and vintage-inspired but find many others overly photoshop their work. Jared is able to work with the natural light and add in some very natural post editing to create images that are flattering but still very realistic. Jared went above what we expected and covered not only our ceremony from start to finish, but also the reception, a trash the dress next day, protraits of us throughout the resort, and he even took many photos of the resort itself! Good thing because we were having so much fun, we forgot to ourselves. We received hundreds of images from Jared in a surprisingly short turn around time. He shot my engagement, bridal & wedding day photos and every bit of the experience was wonderful...especially the beautiful keepsakes we now have to remember those moments for years to come. His professionalism is noteworthy as well; every bit of the process was easy and fun! We never had to worry about a thing. His creativity is absolutely amazing and it helped us to get great photos that not every run-of-the-mill photographer provides...Jared is of a much higher caliber. I recommend him to anyone in need of a photographer every chance I get -- he's great for Senior shoots and "just because" stuff too.

  I recently got married and was going to have a ceremony a few months down the road. I never thought I would need a photographer because I was not sure I wanted to pay the expensiveness that it cost to get one. But after seeing a friend of mine's engagement pictures, I knew I had to have one. Jared's prices are so resonable that I ended up doing Engagement pictures, Bridals, and had him come film the ceremony. My husband and I are sooo pleased with our pictures that we already plan on using him him the future for all of our picture needs. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for great quality and a great price! He definitely has an amazing eye, He was a blast to work with. And now I have amazing pictures to last a lifetime!

  The two most important aspects of my wedding planning were finding the perfect dress and getting amazing pictures! Jared Rey Photography was definitely a fantastic choice. I used Jared Rey Photography for my bridal portraits and my wedding photos; both turned out better than I'd ever imagined. Jared is such a talented photographer; he really has an eye for capturing those genuine, un-posed moments. When I look at my wedding pictures, I'm taken back to the big day and I feel the love and happiness as if it was yesterday. I couldn't have been more pleased with his service; I would hire him again in a heartbeat and I would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone!!

  Jared Rey did the photography for my wedding May 22, 2010, and I could not have been happier with the pictures from our big day. My husband and I are a very relaxed couple and I was a little overwhelmed with all the details about the photography. I had a lot of people tell me to write down any and every picture I would want the photographer to take (picture of shoes, makeup, church, etc.). We met with Jared in a Starbucks and enjoyed a drink and he walked us through the whole process. He told me that our only job on our wedding day was to enjoy every minute and focus on each other (not to worry about making sure he got every shot that I wanted). Jared also really wanted to get to know us before the wedding day, so he would know the best way to capture our wedding while reflecting our personalities. Jared and his team were sooo much fun to work with, and I loved every single picture that they took. He also comes up with photo opportunities in situations or places where I would not even think of taking a picture! When shooting with Jared, I felt so laid back, so at ease, so comfortable and even more surprising, so did my Fiance! Jared kept things so light, so enjoyable, he didn't seem to be working hard, in the least. However, the products would reveal the complete opposite. The products were so timely, so professional and carefully attended to. Jared has such a natural gift, with the hard work and dedication built on top of that! I was blown away by our photographs, and the moments that he was able to capture. Somehow, he caught the real us, in the middle of a city, and with a huge lens at our side! His style is unique, and with all of those cookie cutter poses out there, we need more like him! I am so thankful and so relieved that we have these photographs now, invaluable times in our lives, captured with such detailed perfection. I would take Jared Rey as a friend, and photographer, any day.

  Jared was amazing! Not only did he take amazing pictures, but it seemed effortless to him. He took all the pictures we asked for, as well catching a ton of special moments at our reception. Everyone who has seen the pictures wants to know his name and use him. I highly recommend him for any pictures you want taken, but especially weddings!

  I knew of Jared through some mutual friends. I have been looking at his blog site for a little while now and saw what an excellent photographer he was-- I KNEW I wanted him to be my wedding photographer! Let me tell you...... Jared is creative, flexible, and so easy to work with. He is sensitive to the needs of his clients and wants your personalities to come through in his pictures. He knows what he is doing-- his standard of quality is excellent and I am confident you will be pleased with his work! I am willing to bet on it! Jared Rey photography is absolutely the way to go.

I have been looking at his blog site for a little while now and saw what an excellent photographer he was-- I KNEW I wanted him to be my wedding photographer! Let me tell you...... Jared is creative, flexible, and so easy to work with. He is sensitive to the needs of his clients and wants your personalities to come through in his pictures. He knows what he is doing-- his standard of quality is excellent and I am confident you will be pleased with his work! I am willing to bet on it! Jared Rey photography is absolutely the way to go.

  Jared shot our engagement and wedding photos and they turned out amazing!!! My husband does NOT like taking photos and did not want to do an engagement session, but when we looked through Jared's website he said he'd give it a try. We ended up having a blast and the pictures are beautiful! Jared is very easy to work with and is laid back while professional at the same time. He has such a great style that seems different than everything else I've seen. Our wedding pictures are incredibly fun, bright and energetic. He captured the moment better than I ever thought possible. I would recommend Jared Rey to anyone and everyone!

  I am so glad we used Jared for our photographer. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased at the bridal, engagement and wedding photos he took. I look forward to using him again in the future.

  Jared did my engagement and wedding pictures and just recently did my one year anniversary pictures. He is great and the pictures come out beautiful! I would not ask for another photographer! I would recommend him to anyone and I have!‎

We had a great meeting before the wedding where we covered all of our expectations & his, which was really important to us. Jared far surpassed our expectations on our big day! He does incredible work!! He has such a creative eye & amazing ability to capture every aspect of that special day.
