Jess is definitely the best DJ in Portland, and we were utterly delighted to work with them for our wedding! Our guests are still reaching out to let us know how impressed they were with the music. Jess was great at communication, easy to chat with and bounce ideas off of, and helped everything run so smoothly and kept everyone on the dance floor. There's literally nothing we could ask for to improve our experience. We had so much fun, and are so grateful to Jess!!! -

Jess DJ’d our wedding and brought everyone to the dance floor! I’ve been to many weddings that felt like the DJ was playing a Spotify playlist — that was not our wedding. Jess is the real deal. They mixed songs to create short mash-ups and transitioned between songs seamlessly and creatively. More importantly, Jess was tuned-in to how the crowd responded to what they played, and would quickly transition away from music that our guests weren’t feeling or build intensity if the crowd loved it. I’d highly recommend booking Jess for your wedding! -

We wanted a unique, memorable, and professional experience for our wedding reception guests. Jess nailed it.
Their setup was incredible with high quality equipment and sound that effortlessly filled the space. We gave them a list of some songs and a general vibe we wanted (ie. no disco!) and they took it from there to select the perfect mix of light tunes for the early mingling, dinner music that paired perfectly, and an evening of kicking dance tunes that got even my teen sons out on the floor.
One area they really shined was during the speeches. We had a tragic death in the family that morning and no eye was dry still in the evening. Jess was patient, empathetic, and kind. They especially helped my wife with a kind word when she needed it to get through her speech. Thank you, Jess.I cannot recommend Jess enough. Thank you for helping make our reception memorable, fun, light, serious, and loving to all. -

Jess is the absolute BEST
Jess the Ripper was absolutely AMAZING!
We were really stressed at the beginning of our wedding because it was going to rain COMICALLY hard and be much colder than we anticipated. But Jess came to save the day, and mixed an incredible set that got everybody on the dance floor.
They truly listened to our recommendations for our reception playlist, and added some in that we just would not have thought to add to it because well… we just don’t know what the cool songs are that people will respond to :) the transition to each song was amazing and unique, and we got so many comments from our guests about how great of a DJ we had. It was so so much fun and I one thousand percent recommend hiring Jess for any event. They clearly put a lot of work and careful thought into creating a seamless playlist that was the perfect amount of nostalgia and trend. The playlist had the perfect build, starting with some songs from our youth to get people grooving (like Backstreet Boys) and moved to more trendy dance songs while still staying true to a lot of the music my husband and I love.
In addition to just absolutely RIPPING (pun intended) it up with the music, Jess is genuinely an awesome person. They were so supportive and inclusive in their interactions with our guests, and with a wedding day already being as stressful as it is and then adding inclement weather to the mix, they were such a warm, composed and uplifting presence that made us remember what this day was really about: celebrating our love while surrounded by our closest friends and family.
We are so grateful to have had them be part of our special day and hope we have an opportunity to hire them again.

Jess was amazing - so professional, responsive, caring, and insightful about how we could make our day unique and special. Jess was knowledgeable about the sound system at our venue which was a huge plus for us so that we wouldn't have to worry about extra equipment. Every single person at our wedding was on the dance floor. Jess curated the perfect mix of songs and words just can't describe how much fun we had and our friends/family had. We have received endless compliments on how fun the dance floor was! Additionally, there was a problem with my processional song 2 days before the wedding (the guitarist could no longer play live) and Jess came up with the perfect solution within the hour. No stress, no anxiety, and honestly I'd love to be Jess' best friend. Such a cool person and gets your vibe and reads the room! -

With over-capacity classes, she gets my classes very motivated with her awesome selection and talent with her music. I've been to several of her events and she knows how to get people on the dance floor. Jess is definitely my number one choice for any DJ event.”

Jess is an incredible DJ. I've worked with Jess on a few occasions as a wedding planner and they are a joy to work with. They are great at communicating and definitely get the party going with a fun and energetic DJ set. I would highly recommend hiring Jess for your wedding or event!
