So amazing!
Jae and Carolynn were absolutely incredible! The hair and makeup looked so beautiful! My entire bridal party and I were so happy with the final result! Also even when I was having bridal jitters and overanalyzing everything, they helped me stay calm and listened to me so well! -

Jae Lee and Carolynn are always the best to work with. They have done my makeup plenty of times for various events and absolutely NAILED IT on my wedding day. Plus, they are always fun to hang around since you do spend some good time together! I would recommend them to anyone in the Pittsburgh area if you are in need of a makeover for a good event – they make it look so natural too! -

I booked Sam and Bri for my wedding hair/ makeup and they were incredible. Not only are they so talented and easy to work with, but are fun people you want to hang around!
At the trial, they listened attentively to what I wanted. And when I changed my mind for the actual day, they deftly changed gears and made it happen! My mom, bridesmaid and I looked and felt amazing. They also had no issues coming to my getting ready spot on the North side, arriving early and finishing ahead of schedule. Thank you Sam and Bri for your professionalism, fun and beautiful work! -

What a freakin' dream it was partnering with JL Makeup Studio & Beauty Boutique.
Jae Lee Paredes led the makeup team, making everyone look truly flawless. She heard every desire I had, and made it come to life. I don't wear any makeup in my day-to-day life, so I wanted a really polished but easy-going makeup look, and WOW. Not to toot my own horn, but DAMN. ;)
Dana led the hair team, and I cannot believe how well everything held up throughout the day. From the first hair appointment until the ceremony, it was about 8 hours. And there was truly not a hair on anyone that fell out of place. I had a floral comb made to fit in with my hair style that we tested out during the trial, and everyone kept telling me how "me" the whole look was. I could not believe how beautiful I looked and felt.
Worth every cent. -

Thank you to JL studio for doing my makeup for my wedding. I had Madyson come to the hotel to do the makeup for my wedding. Everyone looked amazing and the makeup looked perfect even 12 hours later when we turned in for the night. -

As someone who rarely wears makeup, I really didn’t know what to look for in a makeup studio. I reached out to my photographer and she said, “Every time I’ve done a shoot with someone whose makeup was done by Joy, they’ve looked flawless.” Although my thrice postponed wedding ended up being on a date that Joy wasn’t available, the ladies at the studio shared their notes and pictures from my trial with each other, making me feel confident that they would be able to achieve my desired look. The airbrushed makeup felt light and breathable, and stayed on when I shed a few tears during toasts. Jenny (makeup) and Samantha (hair) were professional and fun to hang out with while we got ready. They even had options subtle enough that my husband felt comfortable spending some time in the makeup chair for the big day! -

Madyson was my makeup artist for my August wedding. At my trial, she took the time to really understand my overall look and help me feel comfortable. I was going for a natural glam look and she perfected it. My makeup lasted my entire wedding day and I love looking at my photos feeling like I really achieved the best version of myself look. She was kind and efficient and made my entire bridal party and my mom look and feel incredible. I am so happy we had Madyson on our wedding team! -

Joy was extremely professional from the beginning and very responsive with scheduling trials, answering questions, and making sure that my makeup was perfect! Samantha did my wedding hair and I can say the same for her! Both of these girls took my vision for the wedding day and made it even better!!!!! Victoria and Lexi game to assist the day of with wedding hair&makeup for my bride squad and everything was perfect! I would highly recommend these ladies for your big day! -

Joy (Makeup) and Selina (Hair) are the kind of people you want to surround yourself with on your wedding day. These ladies are so precise, focused, efficient, calm, and patient. I was speechless when I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like a bride but I was still me. Nothing was too much or too little; just right. They made all of the important women in my life look and feel stunning. They noticed I was anxious and were so understanding and provided so much reassurance and positivity. I had Amanda for my bridal makeup. She was extremely responsive throughout the entire wedding process. She will make you feel like a true queen on your wedding day! I have had my makeup done so many times in the past and she exceeded all expectations! I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt on my wedding day! All of my bridesmaids looked like complete bombshells as well! I can’t thank her enough. -

I used JL Makeup for my Wedding on June 8,2019. Keelyn was my make up artist. She was so kind and I got so many compliments! I’ve also been apart of two weddings who have used JL before as well. My makeup was fantastic those times, too! If you are unsure if you should get your makeup airbrushed, let me tell you that you should! It last forever and looks flawless! I had the pleasure of working with both Joy and Claire for a wedding hair and makeup trial in early February 2017, engagement portrait session at Ohiopyle in the summer of 2017, and of course our brunch wedding day at Horizon View Farms on Sunday, September 23, 2018. The coordinator at HVF had suggested another local vendor, but in comparing to other vendors and especially JL Makeup Studio, I went with the latter. The reviews, quality of their work, experience, and professionalism sold me. The studio ended up being more reasonable since they were not charging a travel fee to the farm because they lived close by and they had quality individuals to work with. Both Joy and Claire are very easy-going, responsive, and talented. I had sent Claire hair ideas ahead of our trial at their studio and she was able to create the perfect mix to cater to my long, very thick hair and the hairpiece I provided. She also catered to the moms’ desires for their hairstyles for the wedding—including a hairpiece we had for the mother of the bride with long, thick hair too. Joy can work quickly and efficiently when the occasion asks for it or take her time to create a beautiful work of art on your face. The makeup she did for our engagement session at Ohiopyle State Park was suitable for us hiking through the woods, around falls, and in the fields. What she did for my bridal makeup the wedding day was seamless as was her work on our two moms, my dad, and even the groom—just anti-shine and even skin tone for the gentlemen. The moms were pleasantly surprised with their makeup and Joy was able to give them a little more confidence for the day through her work. JL Makeup Studio is very flexible too. I had five hours to drive for the trial and a little over three hours for our engagement session being an out-of-town PA bride. Even with some delays for the latter event, they made it work. I worked with these two directly throughout the process and they were still in contact with me the day before and morning of to keep me posted on their status. I would highly recommend them for any in-studio or onsite hair and makeup for whatever event you have.

Hillary Sent on 10/31/2017I had Katrina to do my hair for my wedding and it was the best experience! She was hilarious! All of my bridesmaids said afterwards that they wanted to hang out with her again! She did a fabulous job on all of our hair. Mine was exactly what I had envisioned and I have really thin hair that never holds a curl but Katrina worked her magic and it stayed all night! She was fun, lively and talented. I would highly recommend Katrina if you're looking for someone for your wedding hair!
