Melanie Sent on 06/24/2018He was absolutely amazing with my daughter who has autism. He was professional, but caring and compassionate, he listened and took what you said into consideration. He wasn’t clocking time, but looking for the next best shot. I would use him again, and will next fall for my daughter’s yearly pictures and a few family shoots.

I truly wanted to give Joe 5 stars but in good conscience, I can't. If you want phenomenal photos for a great price, go to Joe. But if you also want professionalism, steer clear and take your business elsewhere. Please take the time to read below.
When my now husband and I met with Joe, it was approximately 14 months before our October 2020 wedding. He was funny, charismatic, and timely. This is how he stayed up until our wedding, so we weren't tipped off in the least bit. He stuck with us through the entire pandemic planning when our original plan went out the window and assured us that he will work with us however we needed. Well, that came to a screeching halt the night of our wedding.
Before I get into those details, I want to back up to a week before the wedding. Joe and I set up a time to go over the day of timeline via phone. We talked for about 30 minutes laying out the final details. That night we decided he would be at the hotel where me and my bridesmaids were getting ready at 12:30pm. Previously, we talked about 1:00pm but I had a change of plans and needed him there at 12:30pm instead. We agreed it would be better. That night I also sent him a Pinterest link and a document containing the types of photos I wanted (different pairings with family).
Well, the morning of the wedding Joe showed up at 1:00pm with a half charged battery because he shot a wedding the night before. Our second photographer wasn't there yet either. Our first look was supposed to be at 1:00pm but that got pushed back, obviously. We didn't get to the spot until almost 2:00pm because he just had to get the detail shots that I didn't even want. Am I glad we got them? Yes, to an extent but it was not important to me that we got them. Then he completely disregarded the types of photos I wanted. He shifted us into 5 or 6 poses and that was it. I wanted different set of family photos and while he did take them, I don't have copies of them. I was already too frustrated to say anything because we lost so much time from him being late. We had to leave by 3:00pm to be back at my house for the ceremony.
The ceremony went off smoothly luckily. He took phenomenal photos of the ceremony and the "cocktail hour". He also got some great detail shots of my flowers, veil and ring. However, I'm fairly sure (but not 100%) that when him and his second shooter took my veil to photograph it, they burnt it. They took photos near the candles I had out and then gave it back to me. I didn't put the veil back on because it fell out mid ceremony so I figured it was best off. I realized this a few weeks later when I went to do a project with my veil.
There was also a time where he insulted one of my bridesmaids trying to be funny. The joke didn't land and it was extremely rude. I wasn't made aware of it until the next day.
That night, Joe told us we was going to pass us off to his second shooter. I didn't see a problem with it because she was a great photographer and had her own business. They got me a few sneak previews very quickly, which was amazing, but that was the last time I heard from Joe. We received our photos a few weeks later, but not quite how I pictured them. Still phenomenal photos, but not touched up like I was told they would be. Whatever, not a big deal I like knowing that we look very natural and very us, but still frustrating. Our contract stated we were supposed to get 4 canvases: two 11x14 and two 16x20. When I spoke with the second photographer, she told me she placed the order. This was in November. January rolls around and I ask where they are. I was told they mush have gotten lost and she placed another order. Well, yesterday I followed up again and I was told she wasn't able to order them because Joe didn't pay her enough money to get them to me. Instead, I got all of the photos they took. Fair trade off? Debatable.
Please do your research on Joe. If I would have known what I know now, I would have never hired him. I would have spent more money elsewhere (he was already at the very top of our budget). I don't recommend him at all.
