We decided to hold our wedding at Jubilee Farm and Vineyard after visiting their sister property, Slack Winery at Woodlawn, for a wine tasting. Jubilee is an absolutely gorgeous property; our guests are still talking about the amazing scenery over a month after our wedding. Jim and Tucker have put a lot of work into creating a beautiful outdoor space, especially the pool/garden area where we held our cocktail hour.

Although the venue is in a pretty remote area, Jubilee also provided top-of-the-line facilities, including upscale portable restrooms and a special air-conditioned bridal suite, separate from the main house on the property.

While Tucker oversees the property now, we mostly communicated with Jim during our year-and-a-half engagement. Throughout the entire process, if we emailed or called Jim we could count on an almost immediate response—you can’t overstate how great this was during the stressful wedding planning process.

The only potential issue is that the venue itself is difficult to find since it is located over a mile down a remote dirt road, and the venue does not provide obvious signage to help first-time visitors find their way. A few guests that decided to drive themselves to the wedding had a tough time actually finding the venue, so it would probably be wise if they invested in a bigger sign along the main road.

Unfortunately, too, their own wine is so popular at Slack that none was available at our wedding. Guests soon forgot about this though given the top-shelf full bar that Jubilee offers. (Besides the top-shelf full bar, Jubilee does offer just a beer and wine bar, with optional add-ons for a champagne toast and/or a signature cocktail.)

Overall, we are very happy with Jubilee and all the work that the staff put in to prepare the venue for our wedding, and we would recommend them to anyone interested in having their wedding at a winery or waterfront property in Southern Maryland.

Jubilee Farm is an amazing Venue to host your Ceremony and Reception. Jubilee is a winery located on the water with stunning views in Leonardtown, MD. Jim and his crew did an amazing job with my wedding and I would recommend this venue to everyone it's worth the drive to see it!

Jubilee Farm was our dream wedding venue! It has a ceremony area right on the water and a large beautiful white barn for the reception. You are surrounded by nature, gardens, & vineyards for as far as the eyes can see. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. There's also a bridal cottage and groom's suite on site which made the entire day flow together more smoothly. The price we listed included the venue, tables, chairs, staff, and a four hour open bar for 90 people.

Beautiful location, service not as promised

This is a beautiful location for a wedding, but these things went wrong in the last week before the wedding:
    1. Owner was trying to change plans 3,2, 1 day in advance; made contradictory statements to bride and parents, (numerous phone calls and attempts to charge more money for unwarranted and last minute changes then reversing those)
    2. Only 2 rest rooms in working order next to barn; 3rd not repaired; venue not set up as planned and documented for day before for decorating and rehearsal. All was required weeks before and sent by bride’s parents; all was prepaid on time for months before event.
    3. New heating system was not turned on during reception. It was very cold and uncomfortable.
We do not recommend at this time.
