  Julie is literally the SWEETEST person I've ever met! Not only is she amazing at her job, but she is the most enjoyable person to be around. She was so kind and patient with me and my incessant emails and changing ideas. She worked with me to achieve my PERFECT look and came through on a rainy, humid day. My hair and makeup stayed on IMPECCABLY all day and night. It looked LITERALLY exactly how I wanted it to on my wedding day. She also responded positively to critiques or concerns during trial runs, seeking out feedback to make sure I felt comfortable saying exactly what I wanted. I was scared of all those horror stories of caked on makeup and tacky up-dos, but she eased my anxiety and pulled off the most natural, beautiful look that I've ever seen! I can't wait to work with her again!!!

  Julie and Poonoy were amazing! Prices were reasonable and they were so friendly. The makeup lasted all night. I took my hair down at the end of the night because the 50+ bobbypins were getting a little heavy (they had been in for 16 hours) and was amazed to see that my hair had no damage. The products they used were great.

  Was referred to Julie by a friend. Tested her out a few months back for hair and makeup trial, also used her for my wedding.
  
  Julie is professional, responsive, and reliable. In addition to this, she is so very patient!
  
  During my trial, I initially thought I wanted my hair a certain way. After spending about an hour on my hair, I realized that a half-up do wouldn't be the right look for my wedding, so Julie was at it again! She suggested an up do with a low side bun. Loved it! During the trial, the hair and make up lasted through the entire day. Both were great.
  
  Day of wedding, Julie worked on my hair and make up and made changes as I requested, based on our trial a few months prior. The whole day was wonderful. I did not touch up a single time through the day and everything stayed put--hair and make up, which is impressive as I have a lot of hair, and my face gets pretty greasy.

  Julie was very professional. She arrived early to get her work station setup and she made all of us look gorgeous with the short amount of time given! She took the time to go over the process with my bridesmaids and myself. We discussed several different makeup/hair options that would suit us best. She was very fun to work with and her work was amazing! My eyebrows are hard to work with, but Julie was able to make them look amazing on my very special day!

  I can not say enough good things about Julie. She is professional, talented and has an eye that captures one's true beauty. I was able to provide her with images that I was envisioning for my wedding and she was able to recreate them while taking into account what would look best on my features. I will definitely recommend Julie's services to everyone I know and use her again in the future.

  My experience with Julie was wonderful! She did my bridal makeup and did a beautiful job. The airbrush makeup was awesome - it lasted all day. Julie is very talented and professional. She was easy to work with and listened to what I wanted. I highly recommend Julie and will use her again in the future.

  I hired Julie to be my makeup artist for a few separate sessions. 1) She did my make up for my engagement photo shoot- Amazing 2) she did my makeup for my traditional engagement ceremony - also Amazing and 3) she did my makeup for my wedding - hands down beautiful! She did 2 looks for me, a natural look for the morning, and a darker look for the evening reception. She made me feel like a princess when she was done. The make up look was very pretty without looking unnatural. She is careful in her skills, and finishes in an appropriate amount of time. (all my looks were finished within 40-60 minutes) - which is quite important when you're on a time crunch on your wedding day. Julie is more than professional. She always arrives on time, is very polite, and great to work with. She listens to what you like and don't like, and work with you to make sure you get what you want on your special day. Julie's skills is by far the best I've ever seen, and way exceeds the price that she charges. If I had any future event where I needed my makeup professionally done, I would definitely hire her again, and I would hands down recommend to everyone I know. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Julie is amazing, and you don't want to miss out.

  Julie did my make-up for not only my wedding, but also my engagement photos and bachelorette party, as well as for 2 of my bridesmaids. Julie has great intuition, and as someone who knows next to nothing about make-up, she made me feel comfortable and at ease on the most important day of my life. She is extremely flexible (coming to my home and whatever location needed) and even created customized lip color for my bridesmaids and I to touch up througout the day! Julie provides great value, and I would recommend her to any bride!

  Julie did my wedding hair and makeup and she was fantastic!!! My makeup was gorgeous - it stayed on all day with only minor lipstick touch ups after eating, and it looks so beautiful in pictures. There was a moment when I thought it was slightly too heavy, and she promised me that it would look better in pictures, and she was right! I looked amazing but I still looked like myself. And I had shared my Pinterest page with her as far as what I was thinking for hair, and she crafted a beautiful updo that also had staying power! She also did hair and makeup for my wedding party and she somehow captured everyone's personality in their makeup - we did NOT all look the same, but we all looked like the best versions of ourselves. She was extremely professional and such a happy presence to have in the dressing room on our special day! I was on the fence about spending the money on hair and makeup, but it was so well worth it. I highly recommend the very talented Julie Phaxay!
