  Awesome experience with Justin and Kelsey

  Justin and Kelsey shot our small, family wedding in Saint Helena last year. We're about to hit our one year anniversary and we're still having a blast with new print projects from the amazing photos they delivered. They are both fantastic humans and really understand how to capture the unique settings in Northern California wine country. We felt at ease with them right away, and loved the variety of shots we got. The photos feel modern and cool, but still classy, elegant and timeless. Would highly recommend them to anyone considering a wedding in Napa, Sonoma or around the Bay Area.

  Justin and Kelsey shot our small, family wedding in Saint Helena last year.   Photography may be his craft, but kindness is his passion.

  Having a wedding is one of the most stressful things we've had to put together, so of course hiring an integral vendor such as a photographer is one of the most crucial decisions you'll have to make. With that said, Justin and his team has proven to be one of the best decisions we could have possibly made.
  
  With Justin, you don't simply get a photographer who signed up to snap a few pictures. You get a consummate professional who has been doing this work for decades, who went to school to develop his passion and then set off to hone his craft through repetition. Honestly, Justin is so good I didn't even want to call him because I knew there was no way that we could possibly afford his talents. But against my better judgement, we gave him a call, and he worked with us to ensure everything was in our budget and knew exactly what we were going to get.
  
  Now the major thing you get from Justin (aside from his ungodly talent) is the experience and professionalism that only someone with decades of work could provide. He broke down the wedding day for us, gave us a timeline even before we had a timeline set with our coordinators. He gave us the pros and cons of every aspect, such as should we start early, late, when to shoot, when not to shoot, etc etc. When we had questions, Justin had answers, when we were stressed, Justin provided that calm mentality to let us know that everything is going well, that we're on track. Honestly, he should get into the coordinating business at this rate :D
  
  Now onto the day of, Justin and his team were incredibly friendly, they were total professionals, and provided a level of service we couldn't have dreamed of. You can see how easily (perhaps i'm discounting his abilities here) he handles a camera, how he naturally blends into the background, how he stays out of everyone's way but somehow manages to take candid photos that looks like they were posed for magazines. Half the time I did not see him or his team. I had guests wondering where our photographers were, and some didn't even know we had multiple photographers (which is an amazing thing).
  
  He never grabbed us and posed us for a photo, he never asked us to stand here or stand there. He allowed us to have our wedding on our own terms, uncompromising, he allowed us to experience our amazing evening without pulling us out of our environment. He was engaging, and yet, didn't engage us directly. I honestly don't know how he did it, because the photos we received were freaking gorgeous. I honestly thought that the higher the quality of the photos, the worse I would look, but Justin's artistic talents proved that incorrect.
  
  His ability to frame shots were simply artistic, his lighting superb (even though we had a November wedding so sunlight was a scarcity), and the fidelity was absolutely breathtaking. Justin was also so down to earth, he was a professional yet he spoke like us, he laughed and joked with us. He eased our anxiety when he knew we were stress. Justin was absolutely one of the best vendors we had at the wedding and we had amazing professionals assisting us every step of the way.
  
  There are many regrets you have by the end of the day, did you do this right, did you do that right, was this vendor worth it? Was that money worth it? Why did we pay so much for that? Why didn't we pay enough for this? With Justin, we had zero regrets, ZERO. He captured moments we would have otherwise lost, moments that I was too overwhelmed to see, moments that would have faded into nothing 10-20-30-40-50 years down the line, moments that I wasn't there for. Although we may be done with Justin for now, what he has given us will be remembered for the rest of our days, maybe even our children's.
  
  So I would say, if you are on the fence, if you have any doubts, if you are looking for more than a photographer, a genuine person, Justin Lee and his team are your people. They will treat you like family, and in the end, you'll as familiar as family. Thank you Justin, you went above and beyond our expectations, even with 4400 characters and 800 words, nothing I've said will capture the joy, beauty, and wonder you'll get from working with Justin, and the warm, fuzzy, serene feeling you'll get when you look back at the photos of your wonderful day. Book him immediately.

  Professional Creative talented

  Justin is a creative soul and someone who is passionate about his job. His talent shines through in his style and in the pictures he captures magnificently. From the first time we held a VC he was very detail oriented and informative and made all the time in the world for us across the Pacific Ocean. He made my husband and I feel at ease and we knew that he was very knowledgeable and experienced, more importantly we could trust that he will get the job done. We were planning our San Francisco destination wedding from Hong Kong, so it is fair to say the time zone difference could have been a challenge. However with Justin's prompt response and diligence, he was always just an email or call away, ensuring the time zone difference was a non issue. Justin takes his job seriously, and is well organized ~ a deadline type of guy. He will make sure to keep things on track, which is much needed and appreciated on the actual day of the wedding when it all counts. We did not do a first look, so our photo opportunity between the bride/groom and wedding party schedule was very tight. We also had an unexpected change to our schedule pushing the groomsmen getting ready time later than planned. Justin handled it well and ensured we moved swiftly to capture the shots he needed, and also ensuring we got the shots with the right lighting before sunset. He shoots with his wife Kelsey and together they are an awesome dual, you can see why they gel so well together, two beautiful people creating beautiful art for their clients. Kelsey works quietly behind the scene with Justin directing for the perfect day. They produced photos that will last us a life time. Justin provided us with the final photos and was helpful in providing me - a known tech dummy with multiple links to access photos at ease. He also sent us a cute package in the mail with a photo cd.   I wish a 5 star review could do justice for how incredible Justin is to work with. He's a kind, genuine, salt of the earth kind of guy that has a passion and insane talent for capturing the best moments on your special day. We hired Justin to photograph our wedding at Casa Romantica in San Clemente and we could not be happier with how the pictures turned out.
  
  I remember a few weeks before our wedding I was worried about where we would take the bride/bridesmaid before ceremony pictures because the original locations started falling through. Naturally, the talented artist Justin, eased my worries and snapped the best pics on the streets on San Clemente and underneath the San Clemente Pier.
  
  I love his photography style. We didn't want cheesy wedding pictures, and looking at his website I knew we would be getting some of the best wedding photos you can get. I would describe his work as "editorial" or "Vogue" and who the heck wouldn't want their wedding pictures to be described as those two words? All my friends and family compliment the pictures using "Editorial" and "Vogue" as well and it makes my heart explode with excitement because that's exactly what we wanted.
  
  Justin is extremely professional, he showed up on time/early to start taking pictures. He coached me really well on relaxing my face and how to "smize" etc... He made the wedding party laugh, he made the first look really special for my husband and I. He successfully gathered a family of 30+ people all in 1 picture and nailed the family picture of a life-time for us.
  
  Justin Lee Photography was hands down our favorite vendor for our wedding and we cannot recommend him enough.

  Justin was the most amazing photographer ever ! I normally hate doing things like photo shoots...he did our engagement photos and then flew down to Cabo with us to do our wedding photos. Everything turned out amazing !!! We highly recommend Justin (and Kelsey)...truly epic !

  I think of Justin and Kelsey every single day of my life because I have the pictures they took at our wedding all over our house. Honestly, I find myself smiling everytime I look at these photos. The way they captured the entire vibe of who we are as a couple and what our marriage meant to us is priceless.
  
  I have had multiple friends get married over the years and the one thing I promised myself I would not sacrifice on my special day was the photographer. I have heard such disappointment from people that didn't like their photos from the photographers they hired (trying to cut cost) and I found this to be heartbreaking. Once we had our experience with Justin and Kelsey it broke my heart to think that others didn't have the positive experience we did.
  
  The entire process was easy flowing, effortless on their end, organized, stress-free, positive and best of all it was so fun! They added even more love to our special day and made every photo that much more meaningful. They are a part of our entire family now and I will always treasure these memories. We count our lucky stars to have had the opportunity to work with Justin and Kelsey and anyone who has or gets the opportunity I am sure smiles everyday just thinking of them too : )

  ustin Lee was HIGHLY recommend to my wife and I by a friend and after looking at his portfolio we knew he was extremely talented but had no idea how AMAZING he really was. From the time he arrived at our house for the engagement photos we hit it off immediately as he is just a very nice and all around good person. Justin is the most easy going, passionate perfectionist that has an incredible ability to capture pictures that you had no idea were even possible. We are so grateful to have had the chance to share our special day with him and his amazing wife, Kelsey. We cannot say enough good things about the entire process and we literally recommend him to everyone we meet.

  justin took pictures of me and my family last year in sonoma. we had been planning for weeks and were so excited when the day finally arrived. unfortunately, it was POURING on the sunday we drove up to napa for the photos. instead of a 'rain check', we decided to brave the rain. justin's great attitude and immense creativity turned the rain from bad news, to good news as we ended up with the most special family pictures we could have hoped for. i loved working with justin and kelsey and look forward to more family adventures with these incredible folks.

  I first connected with Justin when we were both working in San Diego. He did a few shoots at the hotel where I was working, and I absolutely fell in love with his work. After getting to know him a little better, it turned out we were both from the same small town in Northern California! We continued to stay connected and I knew I would use him as my own photographer one day. His style is so beautiful and unique, not to mention he is so easy to connect with and talk to. I love opening emails beginning with, "Hey, C!" Fast forward several years later, Justin is now based in Napa and I am planning my wedding in Big Sur. I knew immediately that I wanted to introduce my fiance to Justin. We had a consultation with Justin at his Napa studio, and meeting Kelsey was a huge bonus - we were totally sold. I was thrilled to find out that Justin would be available on our wedding date. We bought the package which included engagement photos, which was such a great addition because we really got to experience shooting with Justin and Kelsey. They made us so comfortable, which is so important for people who aren't used to being in front of a camera. Justin and Kelsey stayed with us in Big Sur for our wedding weekend, got to know our friends and family, and even doubled as coordinators in a sense to keep the day moving along smoothly, which was a feat of its own as we had a huge wedding party. They accommodated special requests, were incredibly patient, and even snapped some fun videos throughout the day. When we got our photos, it was so hard to choose which ones to print and frame because we love them all! I was so worried about looking uncomfortable or nervous, but I felt just like a bride should on her wedding day - relaxed, focused and beautiful - and you and you can see it in our photos. Keep doing what you do, J. Thank you again for everything!

We bought the package which included engagement photos, which was such a great addition because we really got to experience shooting with Justin and Kelsey. They made us so comfortable, which is so important for people who aren't used to being in front of a camera. Justin and Kelsey stayed with us in Big Sur for our wedding weekend, got to know our friends and family, and even doubled as coordinators in a sense to keep the day moving along smoothly, which was a feat of its own as we had a huge wedding party. They accommodated special requests, were incredibly patient, and even snapped some fun videos throughout the day. When we got our photos, it was so hard to choose which ones to print and frame because we love them all! I was so worried about looking uncomfortable or nervous, but I felt just like a bride should on her wedding day - relaxed, focused and beautiful - and you and you can see it in our photos. Keep doing what you do, J. Thank you again for everything!

  JUSTIN AND KELSEY ARE AWESOME! Justin had always been in the back of my mind for doing my wedding photos. When the time came that I got engaged to Trent it was such and easy choice for us. Trent had also seen his work and we just loved his ability to capture/show emotion in his photos. Plus his pictures are just so cool! Each picture we saw made us just so excited to see what he could do with us. He is truly talented and unbelievably creative. We were able to do our engagement photos in the redwoods which was truly a dream. Justin listened to what we envisioned and he was so open minded He just really got it. We were pretty nervous but Justin was able to make us feel so comfortable and made the whole experience so fun. When it came time for our wedding Justin was reliable with communication before the big day, attentive during all the wedding chaos, and just such a fun energy to be around. He added such a easy going vibe to our wedding. Capturing so much emotion and happiness in candid yet excellently framed pictures. I cannot recommend Justin enough. Aside from being so wonderful to be around his professionalism and attention to detail will exceed your expectations. I am very grateful to have had him capture our wedding!

  Our wedding day started off with clouds and rain, a stressful start to the day that I had been imagining. Justin and Kelsey arrived onsite and joined the bridal party while we were getting our makeup done. I knew that we had the perfect photography team the moment that they entered with enthusiasm to use the dramatic lighting of the rain storm in the shots. Justin worked with breaks in the rain to get amazing shots as the sun streamed through the clouds, making the vineyard glisten!
  
  My husband and I got to know Justin during our engagement photoshoot in Sonoma. We heeded advice from other couples and opted to do the engagement shoot so that you could get to know your photographer, their style, and how they wanted you positioned in each photo. Justin did a great job coaching us and we instantly felt comfortable in front of the camera. We had a great time taking photos in the redwood trees and loved how the photos turned out. Justin traveled with us to help find the perfect spots that fit our vision of our engagement story. We felt that the engagement shoot was a great primer that helped the big day flow much smoother. Working with Justin in advance helped put me at ease on the big day, since I knew what to expect of him and how to work with him.
  
  Back to the big day - it was great to have a photographer that I’d previously worked with and trusted. Justin and Kelsey did a fantastic job of taking pictures of me and my husband that captured our true emotion on a day that whizzed by all too fast. We felt comfortable in front of the camera and the results turned out amazing! I think I enjoyed looking at the collection of photographs more than the wedding day itself. Justin has such a natural eye for composition and captured the day so beautifully! We absolutely recommend Justin to photograph your special moments in life.

He captured every day couples as editorial picture perfect moments that did not feature that super cheesy posed feel. Tony and I got engaged and literally booked Justin for our engagement shoot and as our wedding photographer almost immediately, we didn't even have a date or venue just knew Justin had to capture all of it. Justin has an amazing talent of creating art in simple real moments, something you don't really see in any photographers anymore. We never felt like we were "re-doing" any moments on our wedding day just which was extremely important to us and Justin. I have plenty of friends that had a whole wedding day of staged re-done moments to capture a shot missed. Never did we feel this with Justin, he made sure we new this was our day and that nothing would have to be paused or recaptured. We can truly look back at all the photos and recall the moment instantly as a memory and not just a photo, which is something with every penny.   I cannot recommend Justin Lee enough! His work is incredible. Not only did he perfectly and artfully capture our wedding, but he is a great person as well and someone we now consider a friend.
